Gao Ya-chen,Jiang Nan-nan,Qin Xiu-juan,Jiang Hui,Wei Liang-bing,Gao Jia-rong 한국유전학회 2023 Genes & Genomics Vol.45 No.4
Background Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a unique novel type of RNA, have been widely reported to be involved in physiologic and pathologic processes in humans. However, the exact molecular pathogenesis of circRNAs in chronic glomerulonephritis (CGN) is far from clear. Objective This paper aims to evaluate the specific expression profile of circRNAs in renal cortex tissues from Adriamycin-induced CGN rats. Methods CircRNAs were screened in renal cortex tissues from 3 CGN rats and 3 control rats by using high-throughput sequencing (HTS). Then, 4 circRNAs were selected randomly for verification by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). In addition, the differentially expressed (DE) circRNAs were analyzed by bioinformatics methods. Results In total, 31 significantly DE circRNAs were identified, which revealed their potential roles in CGN; in particular, we found that 4 confirmed altered circRNAs (rno-circ-RNAs 689, 3217, 1327, and 5001) might play important roles in the development of CGN. Conclusion This study reveals a cluster of circRNAs that are DE in Adriamycin-induced CGN rats, which brings us closer to understanding the pathogenic mechanisms and may provide new potential targets for clinical treatment.

The purpose of this study is to clarify characteristics of development patterns in the traditional process of Chinese traditional Korean physical education and its developmental stages and to provide the rationality and the rationale for the national ethnic traditional sports in China. As a result of analyzing the social background and cultural environment in which Korean traditional sports activities were formed and developed based on this, the following conclusions were drawn. First, Chinese traditional Korean physical education started from the form of traditional folk play. In other words, Chinese traditional Korean physical education is a historical cultural heritage with diversity of Koreans community and our unique physical activity rooted for a long time under Korean people. Second, it is very important to preserve the ethnic character and cultural characteristics of ethnic minority traditional sports in the tradition and development process. Therefore, it is necessary to respect the diversity of culture for popularization and to maintain and mobilize the national capacity. Third, the folk play of our nation, wrestling, swing, and jumping, is a unique athletic culture of our nation that has been transformed and developed from the folk play that our ancestors have enjoyed and attached from ancient times. However, nowadays, it is necessary to establish an international infrastructure so that many people can enjoy the traditional ethnic culture of ethnic minority in general, and to provide a support system for expanding the base by setting a policy frame at national level.
Retrieve CAD Model Based on Face Matching Sequence
Gao Xue-Yao,Li Hui-Nan,Hu Ru,Zhang Chun-Xiang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Database Theory and Appli Vol.9 No.3
A new model retrieval method based on face matching sequence is proposed in this paper. Attribute adjacent graph is used to describe two faces’ geometry similarity and topological relationship in CAD model. According to the difference of edge numbers, similarities between two models’ faces are computed and face similarity matrix is constructed. Ant colony algorithm (ACA) is applied to obtain an optimal sequence of matching faces between two models. Accumulate similarity values of optimal matching faces to calculate two models’ similarity. Experimental results show that this method can evaluate two CAD models’ shape difference effectively.

Timely and efficient rescue missions in disasters such as nuclear accidents, fires, and earthquakes require operating robots to work under high payload. This paper treats the problem of optimal planning and control of a walking-trot gait for a hydraulically actuated quadruped robot that has been developed in a collaborative project of the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. To mitigate the challenges of working with high-fidelity models of this highly complex mechanical system, a kinematics and approximate dynamics model is proposed that is shown to provide an accurate description of the walking motions we wish to study while at the same time being simple enough to support analysis. The proposed model is used to design limb movements in a walking trot gait that balance the trade off between energy consumption and the speed of execution of a desired mission. Bezier curves of different orders are used to design trajectories of the robot’s limbs. We verify the accuracy of the proposed model through experiments with the actual robot. We apply hierarchical optimization method to minimize the energy consumption, and we discuss a Pareto optimal solution that trades off mission duration and energy consumption. In the end perform several experiments to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the optimal algorithm we proposed.

Background: Oridonin isolated from Rabdosia rubescens, a plant used to treat cancer in Chinese folk medicine, is one of the most important antitumor active ingredients. Previous studies have shown that oridonin has antitumor activities in vivo and in vitro, but little is known about cell cycle effects of oridonin in gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: MTT assay was adopted to detect the proliferation inhibition of SGC-7901 cells, the cell cycle was assessed by flow cytometry and protein expression by Western blotting. Results: Oridonin could inhibit SGC-7901 cell proliferation, the $IC_{50}$ being $15.6{\mu}M$, and blocked SGC-7901 cell cycling in the $G_2/M$ phase. The agent also decreased the protein expression of cyclinB1 and CDK1. Conclusions: Oridonin may inhibit SGC-7901 growth and block the cells in the $G_2/M$ phase by decreasing Cdk1 and cyclinB1 proteins.

Objective Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) of gastric cancer have reported differences in single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) associations for tumour subtypes, particularly when divided by location into the gastric cardia versus the non-cardia. Design Here we present results for a GWAS using 2350 East Asian gastric cancer cases divided as 1189 gastric cardia and 1027 gastric non-cardia cases and 2708 controls. We also included up to 3042 cardia cases, 4359 non-cardia cases and 7548 controls for replication from two Chinese studies and one Korean study. From the GWAS, we selected 12 top SNPs for each gastric cancer subtype, 4 top SNPs for total gastric cancer and 1 SNP in MUC1 for replication testing. Results We observed genome-wide significant associations for rs10074991 in PRKAA1 at 5p13.1 for cardia (p=7.36x10(-12)) and non-cardia cancers (p=2.42x10(-23)) with per allele OR (95% CI) for the combined endpoint of 0.80 (0.77 to 0.83). At 6p21.1, rs2294693 near UNC5CL was significantly associated with gastric non-cardia cancer risk (p=2.50x10(-8)), with OR (95% CI) of 1.18 (1.12 to 1.26), but there was only a nominal association for cardia cancer (p=1.47x10(-2)). We also confirmed a previously reported association for rs4072037 in MUC1 with p=6.59x10(-8) for total gastric cancer and similar estimates for cardia and non-cardia cancers. Three SNPs in PSCA previously reported to be associated with gastric non-cardia cancer showed no apparent association for cardia cancer. Conclusions Our results suggest that associations for SNPs with gastric cancer show some different results by tumour location in the stomach.

Gynostemma pentaphyllum (GP) is a natural plant resources for diabetes therapy, however, there is little research on the mechanisms of GP. The present study was undertaken to characterize if G. pentaphyllum saponins (GPs) is the principal active compound of GP responsible for anti-diabetes, and to examine the relativity between blood glucose modulate and antioxidation. The GPs-treated streptozotocin diabetic rats had a more effective hypoglycemic status than those of diabetic control rats, which also ameliorate dyslipidemia. GPs has increased SOD and GSH-px activities, and the spleen and thymus indexes in diabetic rats. The insulin levels in the GPs-treated groups were significantly higher than diabetic control group. Our finding provides a new insight into the application of GPs for the treatment of oxidative stress related diseases.

Based on the trajectory optimization, this article proposes an adaptive fault-tolerant H∞ compensationcontrol approach for a reentry vehicle with external disturbance and parameter uncertainty. The sensor and actuatorfaults are both considered to including loss of effectiveness, stuck and outage of actuator, and loss of effectivenessof sensor. Firstly, we set up the reentry model for the reentry vehicle and use computational fluid dynamics (CFD)to calculating the heating rate on the surface of the vehicle. Then we divide the vehicle into several isothermalregions appropriately according to the heating rate, and establish the corresponding database for the aerodynamiccharacteristics. When the database accomplished, more accurate control variables and flight path can be achievedby using the conjugate gradient method. And the aerodynamic heating rate on the surface of the reentry vehicle willbe improved considerably. Afterwards, an adaptive fault-tolerant H∞ compensation control method is introduced todeal with the external disturbance and parameter uncertainty of the reentry vehicle system based on the trajectoryoptimization. The Lyapunov functional is adopted to guarantee the stability of the system. The effectiveness ofsuch adaptive fault-tolerant H∞ compensation control method has been identified by numerous simulation results.

Drosophila suzukii (Diptera: Drosophilidae) is one of the very few Drosophila species which are able to lay eggs and feed on healthy ripening fruit. Adults and larvae are all able to obtain the nutrition in the decaying food, which will generate many microorganisms. However, the relationship between D. suzukii and microorganism is poorly understood. In this study, 13 species of fungi were identified in an artificial diet fed by D. suzukii. Short-term and continuously life table experiments were conducted to determine the impact of three of these fungus species including Geotrichum candidum, Talaromyces minioluteus and Actinomucor elegans on the growth and development of Drosophila suzukii. Results revealed that, compared to the control, G. candidum, T.minioluteus and A. elegans increased the mortality of D. suzukii adults in the short time, while extended the developmental time of pupal D. suzukii by 18.00%, 16.22% and 26.44%, respectively in the life table experiment. T. minioluteus reduced the total longevity of D. suzukii by 15.52%, while A. elegans enhanced the total longevity by 25.96%. G. candidum and A. elegans increased the fecundity bymore than two folds. T. minioluteus elongated the mean generation time (T) by 31.34%, whereas G. candidum shortened it by 15.26% but increased the net reproductive rate (R0) by 217.76%, intrinsic rate of increase (r) by 88.89% and finite rate of increase (λ) by 9.17%. It was concluded that G. candidumand A. elegans significantly had the beneficial effect on the growth and reproduction of D. suzukii, however, T. minioluteus had the negative effect on D. suzukii. Our results could provide a new integrated pest management strategy for D. suzukii which would be discussed in this study.
