더빙 프로젝트를 활용한 한국어 수업 사례 연구-미국 대학생 학습자의 반응을 중심으로-

한국어 교육의 목표는 의사소통 능력을 신장시키는 것에 있다. 따라서 학습자의 의사소통 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법에 대한 여러 논의가 이루어지고 있다. 한국어 교육에서는 의사소통에서 유창성의 문제 또한 중요하며 학습자의 언어 발달에서는 구어를 사용한 의사소통이 더욱 중요한 요소로 여겨지고 있다. 목표 언어로 유창하게 말할 수 있다는 것은 학습자라면 누구나 지향하는 바이다. 그러므로 본고에서는 의사소통의 측면에서 유창성을 제고할 수 있는 방법 중의 하나로 더빙 프로젝트를 제안한다. 과제 학습으로 더빙 활동을 수행한 후에 학습자의 반응을 조사하여 과연 이런 방법이 의사소통 능력의 신장에 효과적인지를 실제적인 자료를 바탕으로 하여 밝힌다. 학습자들의 실제 반응을 분석하여 이를 한국어 교육 현장에서 적용하는 것은 한국어 교육의 효과를 높이는 일이 될 것이다. The goal of Korean language education is to enhance communication skills. Thus, many studies have been discussing the ways to improve learners’ communication abilities. In Korean language education, fluency in communication is also essential, and communication using colloquial forms is more important for learners’ language development. Anyone who studies a foreign language aims for speaking fluently in the context of the target language. Therefore, this article proposes a dubbing project as a medium to develop conversational fluency in communication. Based on actual data and information, this research investigates if the method is effective in enhancing communication skills while examining students’ responses after completing a video dubbing activity as an assignment. It can help to increase the effect of education on the Korean language by analyzing students’ feedback and applying the results to the field of Korean language education.

이 연구에서는 비대면 언어 교환을 통한 한국어 학습의 실제 사례를 제시하여 한국어 교수와 학습에 도움을 주고자 하였다. 이제까지 언어 교환에 대한 연구는 참가자들이 대면 상황에서 서로 만나 활동을 하는 형태로 이루어진 것이 대부분이었다. 그러나 이 연구에서는 미국 A 대학교와 한국 B 대학교 학생들을 대상으로 교실 밖 수업 활동인 언어 교환 프로그램을 비대면 온라인 화상으로 진행하였다. 실제 학습 활동은 2023년 가을 학기에 진행하였는데 총 6번의 화상 언어 교환을 하도록 하였다. 활동 종료 후 참가 학생을 대상으로 한 설문 조사와 비공식 인터뷰를 통해 언어 교환 활동이 한국어 말하기와 문화 이해 향상에 많은 도움이 되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 연구는 미국의 대학생과 한국의 대학생이 물리적 거리를 뛰어넘어 디지털 공간에서 화상으로 만나 한국어를 학습하는 언어 교환 수업을 제안하고 실제로 운영하여 사례를 제시한 것에 의의가 있다. 또한 이러한 사례를 통해 기술 정보화 시대에 한국어를 배울 수 있는 다양한 학습 전략과 더 나은 수업 모형이 도출되기를 기대한다. This study aimed to enhance the teaching and learning of the Korean language by analyzing an actual case of learning Korean through online language exchange. Most previous research on language exchange has involved participants meeting and engaging in activities face-to-face. However, this study implemented an online video language exchange program as an out-of-class activity for students at A University in the U.S. and B University in Korea. It was conducted six times during the fall semester of 2023. A post-activity survey and informal interviews with participating students confirmed that the language exchange improved learners’ Korean speaking skills and cultural comprehension. This study is meaningful as it introduces an online language exchange activity where college students from the U.S. and Korea cooperatively studied virtually, overcoming geographical barriers, and providing practical case examples. The study results are expected to develop various learning strategies and improve teaching modules for learning Korean in the era of technological advancement.

Lactiplantibacillus plantarum DSR330 (DSR330) has been examined for its antimicrobials production and probiotics. In this study, the hepatoprotective effects of DSR330 were examined against nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in a high-fat diet (HFD)-fed C57BL/6 mouse model. To induce the development of fatty liver, a HFD was administered for five weeks, and then silymarin (positive control) or DSR330 (10<sup>8</sup> or 10<sup>9</sup> CFU/day) was administered along with the HFD for seven weeks. DSR330 significantly decreased body weight and altered serum and hepatic lipid profiles, including a reduction in triglyceride, total cholesterol, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels compared to those in the HFD group. DSR330 significantly alleviated HFD-related hepatic injury by inducing morphological changes and reducing the levels of biomarkers, including AST, ALT, and ALP. Additionally, DSR330 alleviated the expression of SREBP-1c, ACC1, FAS, ACO, PPARα, and CPT-1 in liver cells. Insulin and leptin levels were decreased by DSR330 compared to those observed in the HFD group. However, adiponectin levels were increased, similar to those observed in the ND group. These results demonstrate that L. plantarum DSR330 inhibited HFD-induced hepatic steatosis in mice with NAFLD by modulating various signaling pathways. Hence, the use of probiotics can lead to hepatoprotective effects.
Potential Probiotic Properties of Lactococcus lactis NK34 Isolated from Jeotgal

Strain NK34 was characterized for probiotic use. Strain NK34 was named Lactococcus lactis NK34 based on API 50 CHL kit results and 16S rDNA sequencing. L. lactis NK34 was highly resistant to artificial gastric juice (pH 2.5) and artificial bile acid. Based on results from the API ZYM kit, 4 enzymes were produced. L. lactis NK34 was resistant to all antibiotics tested except for 10 μg/mL roxithromycin and 10 μg/mL erythromycin. The cholesterol-lowering effect of L. lactis NK34 was about 46.9%. Concentrations of interleukin (IL)-1α in the 20× concentrated supernatant of L. lactis NK34 was about 361 pg/mL. L. lactis NK34 was also found to inhibit the growth of colon cancer cells due to MNNG-induced DNA damage. These results demonstrate the potential of L. lactis NK34 as a health-promoting probiotic.
Immunomodulatory Effects by Bifidobacterium longum KACC 91563 in Mouse Splenocytes and Macrophages

The present study evaluates the immunomodulatory effect of Bifidobacterium longum KACC 91563 in murine primary splenocytes and macrophages. B. longum KACC 91563 regulated Tand B-cell proliferation and inhibited the Th1 (IL-2, IFN-γ)/Th2 (IL-4, IL-10) cytokine imbalance and immune cytokine production. Moreover, immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels were significantly lower after treatment with B. longum KACC 91563. These findings suggest that B. longum KACC 91563 could modulate the systemic immune system toward both IgE production and regulation of the Th1/Th2 balance.
