SINS/GNSS-Integrated Navigation of Surface Vessels Based on Various Nonlinear Kalman Filters and Large Ship Dynamics

        Chen Guo,Mu-Zhuang Guo,Chuang Zhang 대한전기학회 2021 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.16 No.1

Generally, studies investigating the strapdown inertial navigation system/global navigation satellite system (SINS/GNSS)- integrated navigation of surface vessels focus on adaptive strong nonlinear algorithms to handle the system and measurement noise induced by the complex environment and motion state. However, these studies rarely consider the suitability of strong nonlinear adaptive optimization in all conditions or the existence of any restriction. The application conditions for these standard nonlinear fi lters with respect to the surface vessel SINS/GNSS require investigation. In this study, the estimation accuracy of the motion state obtained using the extended Kalman fi lter, unscented Kalman fi lter, and cubature Kalman fi lter in case of diff erent vessel motions is compared based on the simulated ship sensor data obtained using a dynamic large surface vessel model under various marine conditions. Compared with previous studies, the data generator in this study simulates the actual ship movements under various conditions, based on which considerably detailed and practical analysis and conclusion can be realized in case of the SINS/GNSS-integrated navigation obtained using various standard nonlinear fi lters. In particular, the situations often encountered by large surface vessels during integrated navigation attributed to environmental interference or instrument failure, including system noise amplifi cation, initial alignment error, and GPS outage, are investigated.

      • Distribution Characteristics of 3,369 Chinese Colorectal Cancer Patients for Gender, Age, Location and Tumor Size During Colonoscopy

Cai, Bin,Wang, Mu-Yong,Liao, Kai,Xu, Yan-Song,Wei, Wei-Yuan,Zhuang, Yuan,Zhang, Sen Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.20

Background: Studies have shown the existence of gender- and age-related differences in the incidence and anatomic distribution of colorectal cancers. The purposes of this study were to analyze the distribution characteristics of colorectal cancer patients regarding gender, age, location and tumor size in the course of colonoscopy. Materials and Methods: All colorectal cancer patients who underwent colonoscopy in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from 2003 to 2012 were included in our retrospective study. Demographic information (age and gender) and colonoscopy report information (tumor size and location) were collected and analyzed. To compare the gender differences in tumor location and tumor size, as well as the size differences in tumor location, the chi-square test was used. Results: A total of 3, 369 colorectal cancer patients (2, 007 men vs 1, 362 women) were included in our study. Statistical analysis showed there was no gender difference in the anatomic distribution of the tumors (p>0.05). However, there was a gender difference in tumor size (p<0.05). In addition, our study found there was a significant difference in tumor size between rectal and colon tumors (p<0.001). Conclusions: There was no gender difference in the anatomic distribution of colorectal tumors. In addition, tumors observed in men were larger than in women.

Information Fusion Based on Artifcial Intelligence Method for SINS/ GPS Integrated Navigation of Marine Vessel

        Chuang Zhang,Chen Guo,MuZhuang Guo 대한전기학회 2020 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.15 No.3

The approaches of artifcial intelligence (AI)-based has widely been utilized to provide higher positioning precision for ship navigation by integrating the GPS with the SINS. To address the restrictions of complicated and dynamic information resulted from ship irregular motion, this paper proposes a novel ensemble learning technique to replace traditional single neural network. The ensemble learning approach is able to construct the SINS/GPS integrated navigation system model according to the SINS attitude, speed information and accelerometer, gyroscope output data. The proposed method is verifed using ship-mounted experimental data of various trajectories. Experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm can signifcant improvement in positioning precision under the conditions of SINS and specifc GPS unavailability.

Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of the Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris Strains Affecting Cabbages in China Revealed by MLST and Rep-PCR Based Genotyping

        Guo Chen,Congcong Kong,Limei Yang,Mu Zhuang,Yangyong Zhang,Yong Wang,Jialei Ji,Zhiyuan Fang,Honghao Lv 한국식물병리학회 2021 Plant Pathology Journal Vol.37 No.5

Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (Xcc) is the causal agent of black rot for cruciferous vegetables worldwide, especially for the cole crops such as cabbage and cauliflower. Due to the lack of resistant cabbage cultivars, black rot has brought about considerable yield losses in recent years in China. Understanding of the pathogen features is a key step for disease prevention, however, the pathogen diversity, population structure, and virulence are largely unknown. In this study, we studied 50 Xcc strains including 39 Xcc isolates collected from cabbage in 20 regions across China, us- ing multilocus sequence genotyping (MLST), repetitive DNA sequence-based PCR (rep-PCR), and pathogenicity tests. For MLST analysis, a total of 12 allelic profiles (AP) were generated, among which the largest AP was AP1 containing 32 strains. Further cluster analysis of rep-PCR divided all strains into 14 DNA groups, with the largest group DNA I comprising of 34 strains, most of which also belonged to AP1. Inoculation tests showed that the representative Xcc strains collected from diverse regions performed differential virulence against three brassica hosts compared with races 1 and 4. Interestingly, these results indicated that AP1/DNA I was not only the main pathotype in China, but also a novel group that differed from the previously reported type races in both genotype and virulence. To our knowledge, this is the first extensive genetic diversity survey for Xcc strains in China, which provides evidence for cabbage resistance breeding and opens the gate for further cabbage-Xcc interaction studies.
