The research is to develop cost methodology to support railway managers for identifying principles, tools and methods of activity based management correctly and precisely, and can be useful and effective for managers for realizing their goals. The research result a ministry can be suitable guideline in terms of how to execute activity based management. Since in this research, main and secondary activities are studied completely in the Railway organization, it can be an explanatory research. The research population is headquarter managers and experts of railway organization and the sampling procedure is goal-oriented and judgmental. 74 people were selected by using a formula. All hypotheses were tested in 95% significance level. Meanwhile a proposed process of applying. activity based management was offered.

In recent years, technology developments in different countries, especially in newly industrialized countries, are extremely indebted to appropriate technology transfer by these countries. Nevertheless the technology transfer process in the present situation is complex, and its success is related to the coordination rate with the political, economic, social, and environmental objectives of countries. Today debates related to the transfer of the technical know how accompanied by equipment hardware has found remarkable importance such that countries seek increasing comprehensive capabilities in the field of transferred technology for which Preventive Maintenance (PM) is one of the aspects. This research with the purpose to determine the technological capability level and to study the role of PM in the effective & appropriate technology transfer in subway industry is carried out for presenting a suitable model for the technology transfer in this industry with an attitude towards the effects of principal PM factors. For this purpose, after the study of different and relevant models existing in the field of suitable methods for technology transfer, some equipment PM theories and models were selected as the base for the compilation of the questionnaire. With the help of questionnaire, main PM factors that are effective in the field of technology transfer were extracted, and finally, their effects on technology transfer were analyzed, identified and a comprehensive model suggested in this connection.
Efficiency Evaluation of 12 Regions of RAI (Iranian Railway) Using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA)

Safe, fast, efficient and effective railway is a main factor of economic development level of every country. This paper uses the DEA method to evaluate and compare the efficiency of 12 Regions of RAI. In addition, we introduce the reference(s) unit(s) for every inefficient region, and determine the amount of input decrease and/or output increase need to become them efficient. Findings indicate that in 2006, 4 regions of 12 are in Constant Return to Scale (CRS) status and 7 of them in Variable Return to Scale (VRS), and the average efficiency is 0.730 and 0.888, respectively. In other words, RAI works 27 percent under its capacity. More over results indicate that Hormozgan, Khorasan, Tehran and Isfahan Regions have the most efficiency respectively. The results show that the 8 regions, have been working in Increaser Return to Scale and 4 reminder Regions in Decrease Return to Scale. According to this results, we submit the suitable suggestion for improve the efficiency of the inefficient regions.

The current study attempts to put to the test the nature of interdependence between L2 and L1 in a bilingual mind. It aims to find out if reading strategy instruction (RSI) in L2, a) affects reading comprehension ability and attitude toward reading both in L2 and L1, and b) if so, in which language (source (L2) or target (L1)) each of these two dependent variables are more affected. To meet the purposes of the study, a quasi-experimental design was employed. Measures of reading comprehension and attitude toward reading in L2 and L1 were distributed as pretests and posttests to 48 Iranian EFL learners. The experimental group received RSI in L2, but the control group received traditional reading instruction. Reading comprehension and attitude toward reading improved significantly both in L2 and L1 for the experimental group, but not for the control group; however, for the experimental group the magnitude of improvement in reading comprehension was more in L1 than in L2, and the magnitude of improvement in attitude toward reading was more in L2 than in L1. Therefore, although languages are interdependent in one mind, cross-linguistic influences are not the same in magnitude in terms of the languages and domains involved.
Functional Analyses of PtROS1-RNAi in Poplars and Evaluation of Its Effect on DNA Methylation

DNA methylation occurs mostly at the C5 positionof dinucleotide symmetric CpG sites in genomic DNA. Abalance is maintained in the plant genome between DNAmethylation mediated by RNA-directed DNA methylation(RdDM) and DNA demethylation mediated by the DEMETER(DME) protein family and REPRESSOR OF SILENCING(ROS1). We used double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) silencingto suppress ROS1 protein expression in ‘Nanlin895’ (Populusdeltoides × Populus euramericana ‘Nanlin895’). Leaves ofWT and transformant poplars revealed more symmetricmethylation on CpG sites than roots and stems. In addition,leaves of transformant poplars revealed more methylatedCpG sites in both 5.8S rDNA and histone H3 compared toWT types via 0, 50 and 100 mM NaCl treatments. In asymmetricmethylation sites, transformant poplars exhibited moremethylated CpHpG and CpHpH contexts than WT poplars. On the other hand, hypermethylation induced by PtROS1-RNAi construct resulted in pleiotropic phenotypic changes intransgenic poplars. The percentage of wavy leaves was increasedmaximum by ~45% in transgenic poplars. Also, the numberof leaves was increased by ~200 number in transformants. Furthermore, shooting (%) and rooting (%) was decreased intransgenic poplars versus WT.
Roll Bonding Behaviour of Al-3003/Al-4043 and Al-3003/Zn Sheets

In the present study, the roll bonding behaviour of Al-3003/Al-4043 and Al-3003/Zn sheets were compared. The bi-layer sheets were produced by a roll bonding process at different reductions in thickness and rolling temperatures. The joint strengths of the sheets were evaluated by peel and bend testing before and after supplemental annealing treatment. The peeled surfaces were examined using a scanning electron microscope. The results indicated that the Al-3003/Al-4043 sheets were bonded with higher joint strength and lower threshold reductions in thickness with respect to the Al-3003/Zn sheets. In contrast to the Al-3003/Zn sheets, significant improvement was observed in the joint strength of the Al-3003/Al-4043 sheets after annealing treatment. Moreover, electron microscopy examinations showed that the fracture types of the Al-3003/Al-4043 and Al-3003/Zn sheets were predominantly ductile and brittle, respectively.

In this study an attempt was carried out to determine the effect of production temperature on the mechanicalproperties and energy absorption behavior of closed-cell A356 alloy foams under uniaxial compressiontest. For this purpose, three different A356 alloy closed-cell foams were synthesized at three different castingtemperatures, 650 °C, 675 °C and 700 °C by adding the same amounts of granulated calcium as thickeningand TiH2 as blowing agent. The samples were characterized by SEM to study the pore morphologyat different foaming temperatures. Compression tests of the A356 foams were carried out to assess theirmechanical properties and energy absorption behavior. The results indicated that increasing the foamingtemperature from 650 °C to 675 °C and 700 °C reduces the relative density of closed cell A356 alloys by18.3% and 38% respectively and consequently affects the compressive strength and energy absorption ofcellular structures by changing them from equiaxed polyhedral closed cells to distorted cells. Also at 700 °Cfoaming temperature, growth of micro-pores and coalescence with other surrounding pores leads to severalbig voids.
