시험용 달 궤도선의 발사 요구조건 사전 분석 단계로 최근 외국에서 발사한 달 탐사선의 발사 요구조건을 분석하였다. 일반적으로 달 탐사선의 발사 요구조건은 달 임무 궤도를 결정하는 중요한 요소이며, 또한 지구, 달, 태양의 상대적인 운동으로 인해 임무궤도 요구조건을 만족하는 발사 가능 시간이 주기적으로 반복되는 경향이 있다. 분석 결과 설정된 발사 요구조건들로부터 달 궤도선의 주 임무가 달의 남/북극 지역의 광학 관측 임을 간접적으로 알 수 있었다. 향후 우리나라 달 궤도선 발사 요구 조건 설정에 본 논문이 도움이 되길 기대한다. In the preliminary study on launch window requirement for Korea Path-finder Lunar Orbiter(KPLO), the recent foreign lunar orbiter’s lauch window requirement was analyzed. Normally, the launch requirements depends on the mission orbit. Based on the relationship between Moon, Earth, and Sun, the launch time will be available periodically to meet requirements. In this paper, it is understood that the launch window requirements come from payload mission requirements to take picture each poles of Moon. This paper might be a practical example to derive KPLO launch requirements in the future.

<P>Radiation therapy and chemotherapy have little effect on renal-cell carcinomas (RENCAs). We investigated the effect of the tumor vaccination strategy on preventing tumor formation after a challenge with RENCA. The hepatitis surface antigen (HBsAg) was used to enhance the antitumor immunity and tumor vaccination efficiency. RENCA cells expressing HBsAg (RENCA/HBS) were completely susceptible to HBsAg vaccination, which implies that HBsAg vaccination induces specific antitumor immunity against HBsAg- expressing cancer cells. As with HBsAg vaccination, vaccination with irradiated RENCA/HBS retarded tumor formation following a RENCA/HBS challenge. After HBsAg vaccination, the irradiated RENCA/HBS tumor vaccine completely prevented the tumor formation by RENCA/HBS. Tumor vaccination with irradiated RENCA/HBS (5 x 10(4) cells), but not with RENCA, reduced the tumor rate after a challenge with 5 x 10(6) RENCA cells, whereas a lower tumor load was overcome by the RENCA vaccination alone. These results confirm the postulate that RENCA/HBS vaccination elicits an antitumor immune response to some putative antigens or enhances the general immune competence in immunosuppressed renal tumor patients.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Embryonic stem (ES) cells, derived from the inner cell mass of the mammalian blastocyst, can continuously proliferate in an undifferentiated state and can also be induced to differentiate into a desired cell lineage. These abilities make ES cells an appealing source for cell replacement therapies, the study of developmental biology, and drug/toxin screening studies. As compared to mouse ES cells, human ES cells have only recently been derived and studied. Although there are many differences in properties between mouse and human ES cells, the study of mouse ES cells has provided important insights into human ES cell research. In this review, we describe the advantages and disadvantages of methods used for human ES cell derivation, the expansion of human ES cells, and the current status of human ES cell differentiation research. In addition, we discuss the endeavor that scientists have undertaken toward the therapeutic application of these cells, which includes therapeutic cloning and the improvement of human ES cell culture conditions.</P>

O-(3-[$^{18}$F]Fluoropropyl)-L-tyrosine (L-[$^{18}$F]FPT) was synthesized by nucleophilic radiofluorination followed by acidic hydrolysis of protective groups and evaluated with 9 L tumor bearing rat. L-[$^{18}$F]FPT is an homologue of O-(2-[$^{18}$F]fluoroethyl)-L-tyrosine (L-[$^{18}$F]FET) which recently is studied as a tracer for tumor imaging using positron emission tomography (PET). [$^{18}$F]FPT was directly prepared from the precursor of O-(3-ptoluenesulfonyloxypropyl)- N-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-L-tyrosine methyl ester. FPT-PET image was obtained at 60 min in 9 L tumor bearing rats. The radiochemical yield of [$^{18}$F]FPT was 0-45% (decay corrected) and the radiochemical purity was more than 95% after HPLC purification. The total time elapsed for the synthesis of [$^{18}$F]FPT was 100 min from EOB (End-of-bombardment). A comparison of uptake studies between [$^{18}$F]FPT and [$^{18}$F]FET was performed. In biodistribution, [$^{18}$F]FPT showed similar pattern with [$^{18}$F]FET in various tissues, but [$^{18}$F]FPT showed low uptake in brain. Furthermore, [$^{18}$F]FPT showed higher tumor-to-brain ratio than [$^{18}$F]FET. In conclusion, [$^{18}$F]FPT seems to be more useful amino acid tracer than [$^{18}$F]FET for brain tumors imaging with PET.

Background: Intra-articular corticosteroid injection (IACI) is commonly used in the field of orthopedic surgery and rheumatology for management of the joint disease. However, there have been very limited data about IACI-induced hypopigmentation. Objectives: The purpose of present study was to investigate characteristics of IACI-induced hypopigmentation. Methods: 43 patients who were diagnosed as IACI-induced hypopigmentation at Pusan National University Hospitals (Busan and Yangsan) from 2004 to 2016. Results: Of the 43 patients, 53 lesions were analyzed in this study, the male to female ratio was 1:7.8 and the mean age at diagnosis was 46.4 ± 13.5 years. The most common (24/43, 56%) impression at the local clinics was vitiligo. Mean number of injection 1.8 times and the interval from injection to the onset of IACI-induced hypopigmentation was 3.3 months. Wrist was the most commonly affected site (18/53, 34%), followed by elbow (13/53, 25%), ankle (11/53, 21%) and knee (7/53, 13%). All of the lesions showed hypopigmentation accompanying promient underlying veins (28/53, 52.8%), skin atrophy (27/53, 50.9%), telangiectasia (10/53, 18.9%). Hypopigmented patches clinically showed various figures such as polygonal-linear (23/53, 43%), polygonal (16/53, 30%), and linear (14/53, 26%) appearances. And, they mostly had speculated border (43/53, 81%). Conclusion: Dermatologists need to be familiar with IACI-induced hypopigmentation in order to avoid incorrect management under misdiagnosis of vitiligo.

<P>The proteasome inhibitor, bortezomib, has antimyeloma activity even in myeloma cells refractory to multiple prior treatments. The most commonly reported adverse events in patients receiving bortezomib are sensory neuropathy, thrombocytopenia and gastrointestinal events. We report a patient with myeloma who developed pseudomembranous colitis after bortezomib treatment. Bortezomib has the boronic acid moiety which improves the specificity of proteasome inhibition and can be used as non-β-lactam-based β-lactamase inhibitors. This case indicates that gastrointestinal toxicities by bortezomib may be caused, in part, as a result of change in the colonization of colonic microflora.</P><P>Copyright © 2007 S. <P>We propose an optical configuration for a transflective mode with a circular polarizer for the vertical alignment liquid crystal cell, which can show the wideband property of high contrast in oblique incidence. The proposed configuration consists of a biaxial film and two uniaxial films for satisfying both the transmissive and the reflective modes. Optimization of the optical configuration of the circular polarizer has been performed on the Poincaré sphere in the entire visible wavelength range using the Stokes vector and the Mueller matrix method. We also verify the excellent optical characteristics of the proposed configuration by comparing the viewing angle and contrast ratio in the oblique direction with a conventional optical configuration in calculation.</P>
