The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary purple sweet potato(lpomoea batatas) powder on serum lipid levels and antioxidative enzymes in normal and pretective effect on hepatotoxicity rats induced by carbon tetrachlolide. Four groups of rats (3-week-old inbred Sprague-Dawley male rats) were normal rats fed control diet(C)_(1) induced hepatotoxicity rats fed control diet(EC)_(1) normal rats fed purple sweet potato diet(P), and induced hepatotoxicity rats fed purple potato sweet diet(EP). Rats were induced by single injection of 50% carbon tetrachloide(0.1 mL/100 g B.W., i.p.). The rats were fed ad libitum each of the experimental diet for 5 weeks. After 5 weeks the rats were sacrificed and activities of antioxidant enzymes and lipid peroxidation products were determined in their liver homogenates. But serum concentrations of lipid was not significant in all groups. Serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT/GPT) and aspartate aminotransferase(ALT/GPT)of the EC and EP groups were heigher than the C and P groups. The hepatic glucose 6-phosphatase(G9Pase) activity of the group fed purple potato diet(P) was lower than the other groups(p<0.05). However, The glutathione peroxidase(GPx) activities was not statistically different between the groups. Renal glutathione S-transferase(GST) activity of the EC and EP groups were lower than the C and P groups(p<0.05). In conclusion, these results suggest that purple sweet potato is believed to be possible protective effect on hepatotoxicity rats induced by carbon tetrachlolide.

Acute torsion of the ovary and ovarian mass is a recognized surgical emergency, but rarely has the diagnosis been made preoperatively on the basis of imaging studies. The sonographic findings in 14 cases of surgically proven torsion of the ovary and ovarian mass are described. Mostly cystic ovarian mass, engorged vessel, dilated uterine tube, beak-like echo(torsion site), smooth mass wall thickening an free-fluid collection in cul-de-sac are described. More significant in terms of specificity were the demonstration in 6 cases(42.9%) of the smooth mass wall thickening and in 8 cases(57.1%) of a free fluid in the cul-de-sac. We report the sonographic findings of ovary and ovarian mass torsion that may suggest the preoperative diagnosis of this condition.

A simple, rapid, accurate, precise and robust HPLC method was developed for the simul-taneous determination of fimasartan and amlodipine in tablet dosage form. Furthermore, stability of active ingredients was evaluated under normal and stress conditions. The isocratic elution was accomplished by Nlucleosil C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 ㎛)at 40 ℃. The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile and 0.02 M monopotassium phosphate buffer (pH 2.2) in the ratio of 50=50 (v/v) was eluted at 1.0 ml/min. The eluent was moni-tored by the UV detector for fimasartan and amlodipine at 237 nm for 8 min, detection .time. The validation of HPLC method was carried out in accordance with the ICH guidelines.
Development of Speed Reducer with Planocentric Involute Gearing Mechanism

A new speed reducer with the planocentric involute gearing mechanism, which can be replaced with a cycloid drive, is developed. This speed reducer eliminates some significant disadvantages of the cycloid drive, which are difficulty in not only designing and manufacturing the tooth profile but also meshing the gears to maintain an accurate center distance. In this paper, to avoid tooth tip interference between internal and external gears and maximize a speed reduction ratio, a pressure angle, a tooth height, a profile shifting factor and the number of teeth are simulated. We manufacture a prototype based on these simulated results of the design specifications (the rated power of 350watts, rated speed of 3600rpm and speed reduction ratio of 41:1), of which the overall size is Φ146㎜×95.2㎜. A power efficiency test of the prototype is carried out to compare with the cycloid drive.
Selective separation of Strontium in the solution containing Calcium by Supported Liquid Membrane

칼슘을 함유한 방사성 환경시료 용액으로부터 스트론튬을 분리하기 위한 방법으로 함침형 액막을 제조하여 그 분리특성을 고찰하였다. 운반체로 사용된 DC18C6과 DNNS의 농도에 따라 금속이온 투과도와 스트론튬 선택도에 영향을 미쳤으며, 특히 0.1M DC18C6과 25mM DNNS을 함침시켜 제조한 액막의 경우에서 93.3%의 스트론튬 선택도를 얻을 수 있었다. 모의용액의 스트론튬에 대한 칼슘의 함량비가 1 : 25 - 1 : 50일 때 스트론튬 선택성이 90% 이상으로 나타났으며, 따라서 본 연구에서 제조한 액막은 스트론튬 측정을 위한 해수 환경시료의 전처리에 적용가능할 것으로 생각된다. In order to separate Sr selectively from environmental sample solutions containing Ca, supported liquid membranes(SLM) were prepared and their characteristics of separation were investigated. The contents of carriers, DC18C6 and DNNS, in SLM affected the permeabilities of metal ions and selectivities of Sr. The selectivity of Sr reached to 93.3% in a SLM with 0.1 M DC18C6 and 25 mM DNNS. When the ratio of Sr to Ca concentration in the feed solution was in the range of 1/25 to 1/50, the selectivity of Sr was greater than 90%. Therefore, it is considered that the SLM prepared in this study is capable of treating environmental sea-water samples for strontium measurement.

As environmental problems caused by fossil fuel use emerged renewable energy raised as an effective solution in several countries, including South Korea, Japan, Germany and so on, Agriphotovoltaic (APV), one of the systems for renewable energy, growing plants under photovoltaic (PV) panels, has been getting attention due to its co-productivity of electricity and crop yield. To date, production and yield of crop under APV have been the main focus, neither the crop quality nor consumers’ acceptability to the processed produces. Therefore, this study focused on comparing the quality of cabbage and cabbage juice grown from open-field (OF) and APV. To address this research question, we cultivated ‘Winter Storm’ cabbage under the APV and open field during 2020 Fall season. The bi-facial panels of APV were faced to north direction and each one has length, width and thickness; 1.68 m, 0.95 m, and 30 mm respectively. The total power generation capacity of panels was 20.16kW. Fresh cabbage weight and its diameter grown from APV were slightly decreased (156 g; 9.7%, 0.2 cm; 1.2% respectively) compared to open-field but not significant. Glucosinolates and its hydrolysis products, major phytochemicals in brassica plants, were not different in fresh cabbage but few in juice. The amount of volatile organic compounds, 2-methylpyrazine, 2,5-dimethyl pyrazine, and dimethyl trisulfide, that affect the perception of smell or taste were significantly high in cabbage juice made of open-field grown one (n = 3, p < 0.01). In overall, sensorial panels were not able to distinguish difference in the triangle test using cabbage juice (n = 70, p = 0.724). In attribute test, experienced panels tended to give more correct answers than inexperienced panels to cabbage juice. Regardless of the distinguished difference in color, aroma, and taste, panels did not have any preference (50 : 50%) to two different cabbage juice made of the different production system. To our knowledge, this is the first sensorial experiment using crop grown from APV.

Purpose: To assess the clinical outcomes of radiotherapy (RT) using two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional conformal RT (3D-CRT) for patients with gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma to evaluate the effectiveness of involved field RT with moderate-dose and to evaluate the benefit of 3D-CRT comparing with 2D-RT. Materials and Methods: Between July 2003 and March 2015, 33 patients with stage IE and IIE gastric MALT lymphoma received RT were analyzed. Of 33 patients, 17 patients (51.5%) were Helicobacter pylori (HP) negative and 16 patients (48.5%) were HP positive but refractory to HP eradication (HPE). The 2D-RT (n = 14) and 3D-CRT (n = 19) were performed and total dose was 30.6 Gy/17 fractions. Of 11 patients who RT planning data were available, dose-volumetric parameters between 2D-RT and 3D-CRT plans was compared. Results: All patients reached complete remission (CR) eventually and median time to CR was 3 months (range, 1 to 15 months). No local relapse occurred and one patient died with second primary malignancy. Tumor response, survival, and toxicity were not significantly different between 2D-RT and 3D-CRT (p > 0.05, each). In analysis for dose-volumetric parameters, Dmax and CI for PTV were significantly lower in 3D-CRT plans than 2D-RT plans (p < 0.05, each) and Dmean and V15 for right kidney and Dmean for left kidney were significantly lower in 3D-CRT than 2D-RT (p < 0.05, each). Conclusion: Our data suggested that involved field RT with moderate-dose for gastric MALT lymphoma could be promising and 3D-CRT could be considered to improve the target coverage and reduce radiation dose to the both kidneys.

The advent of the smart phone enjoying the web with a mobile phone and App store that is a mobile contents open market beyond the closed environment of the existing mobile carrier give many mobile game developers opportunities and crisis at the same time. In a situation undergoing a lot of changes in this mobile environment, measures investigated through stakeholder interviews about mobile game industry's development plans are as follows: First, national policy support is required. Second, developer's recognition on changes in the market is required. Third, the development of new business models such as partial charging, etc is required.
