In the present study, amoxicillin (AMX) solution was treated by the combination of sonocatalysis (ultrasound/MgO nanoparticles) with electrolysis (Pt anode/graphite cathode). The reaction rate of the combined process (5.29 × 10−2 min−1) was over two orders of magnitude higher than that of the sonocatalysis (2.45 × 10−2 min−1). AMX was decomposed synergistically by the hybrid process (synergy percent of about 16%). On the basis of the applied mathematical modeling, an AMX removal efficiency (%) of more than 93% was achieved at Na2SO4 concentration of 0.13 M, current intensity of 0.04 A, MgO nanoparticles dosage of 1.8 g/L and AMX concentration of 11 mg/L.

Purpose: Limited studies have shown antifibrotic effects of pentoxifylline, captopril,simvastatin, and tamoxifen. No comparisons are available of the effects of these drugson prevention of renal and bladder changes in partial urethral obstruction (PUO). Materials and Methods: The rats were divided into six groups (n=7). The sham-operatedrats (group I) only underwent laparotomy and did not receive any treatments. The PUOgroups (group II–VI) received normal saline (PUO+NS), pentoxifylline (100 mg/kg/d;PUO+PEN), captopril (35 mg/kg/d; PUO+CAP), simvastatin (15 mg/kg/d; PUO+SIM),or tamoxifen (10 mg/kg/d; PUO+TAM) by gavage for 28 days. Then, the volume and/orlength of the kidney components (tubules, vessels, and fibrous tissue) and the bladdercomponents (epithelial and muscular layers, fibrous tissue, fibroblast and fibrocytenumber) were quantitatively evaluated on the microscopic sections by use of stereologicaltechniques. Results: The volume of renal and bladder fibrosis was significantly ameliorated in thePUO+PEN group, followed by the PUO+CAP, PUO+SIM, and PUO+TAM groups. Also,the volume and length of the renal tubules and vessels and bladder layers were moresignificantly protected in the PUO+PEN group, followed by the PUO+CAP, PUO+SIM,and PUO+TAM groups. Conclusions: Treatment of PUO with PEN was more effective in the prevention of renaland bladder fibrosis and in the preservation of renal and bladder structures.
Mutation Spectra of BRCA Genes in Iranian Women with Early Onset Breast Cancer - 15 Years Experience

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Iran. In the recent years an upward trend has been observed in the Iranian population. Early detection by molecular approaches may reduce breast cancer morbidity and mortality. We provided consultation to 3,782 women diagnosed with early onset breast cancer during the past 15 years (1999-2014). To establish a data set for BRCA gene alterations of the Iranian families at risk, two hundred and fifty four women who met our criteria were analyzed. A total number of 46 alterations including 18 variants with unknown clinical significance (39.1%), 18 missense mutations (39.1%), 7 Indels (15.2%) and 3 large rearrangement sequences (6%) were identified. Further scanning of affected families revealed that 49% of healthy relatives harbor identical causative mutations. This is the first report of comprehensive BRCA analysis in Iranian women with early onset breast cancer. Our findings provide valuable molecular data to support physicians as well as patients for the best decision making on disease management.
Experimental investigation of a supercritical airfoil boundary layer in pitching motion

In this study, the boundary layer velocity profile on the upper surface of a supercritical airfoil in a forced sinusoidal pitching motion was measured and experimentally investigated. Measurements were performed using a boundary layer rake, including total pressure tubes positioned at 25 % of the chord far from the leading edge on the upper surface. For static measurements, the effects of the angle ofattack between −3° and 14° and free-stream velocity between 40m sand 70m swere investigated; for dynamic measurements, theeffects of oscillation amplitude variation between ±3° and ±10°, reduced frequency from 0.007 to 0.0313, and mean angle of attack between −3° and 6° were studied during one oscillation cycle. Results indicated that the boundary layer thickness decreased in upstroke motion. Increasing the oscillation frequency led to the extension of hysteresis loops. Fast Fourier transform was used on pressure signals to study the amplitude of the dominant frequency in the velocity profile. Spectral analysis showed that the dominant forced frequency of oscillation in the boundary layer and the amplitude of this frequency were varied by increasing the reduced frequency and other parameters.

Most of controllers need real time mobility operation so one of the most important devices which can be used to solve this challenge is Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). FPGA can be used to design a controller in a single chip Integrated Circuit (IC). To have higher implementation speed with good performance cMinimum Control Unit (MCU) is implemented on Spartan 3E FPGA using Xilinx software. Design a 4 bits Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)- based carry lookahead MCU is the main challenging works. MCU is control unit to control of data transfer between input and output and process the input data. In this research, MCU is used to control the 4 bits, Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU). Combinational logic characterized by its propagation delay and contamination delay. To reduce the delay hardware description language (HDL) type of programming is very important. To reduce the route delay and logic delay, type of HDL design is very important. In this research, we used lookahead design, which reduce about 10% delay in comparison with ripple carry.
