Pretreatment of Silicone Coated PET Release Film for the Recycling of PET

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) release film is a functional film that acts as a material barrier to protect the surface of commercial products such as window, semiconductor wafer, mobile phone screen and label tape. Usually, PET release film is composed of multiple layers to enhance the physical properties and grant various functionality. Especially, PET film coated with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is widely used among PET released film. However, recycling of silicone coated PET film is difficult without removing silicone layer from the film. In this work, we propose pretreatment process to remove silicone layer from the PET release film by swelling and physical detachment. To swell PDMS layer on a PET film, acetone was used. Then, glass beads were added to physically break PDMS surface. After the agitation of mixture at room temperature, swollen PDMS waste and glass beads were filtered from the mixture. Treated PET film was then put in acetone to further rinse the PDMS waste left on the surface. From energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis, the amount of silicon element on the surface of PET film decreased by 98.7%, suggesting that PDMS layer was successfully removed from PET film.

While most previous studies have mainly regarded data on consumers’ buying cycle as ordinal ones, we assumed that it captures the number of times that consumers making purchases within a given period of time. In this respect, we used count data models to investigate the differences in factors influencing purchase frequency for eco-friendly labeled food between households with and without children. Main findings of the study are as follows. First, we found that the households with young children purchase eco-friendly labeled food more frequently within a given period of time. Second, we found the differences in purchasing behavior between two groups in terms of three perspectives: (1) loyalty, (2) consumption tendency (cost effectiveness versus satisfaction inclination), and (3) major purchasing items. Based on the results, we presented marketing strategies tailored to each group to expand the demand for eco-friendly food.
학부모의 내향·외향 성격유형과 정적·동적 명상유형이 스트레스와 마음챙김에 미치는 효과

이 연구의 목적은 학부모의 내향·외향 성격유형과 정적·동적 명상이 스트레스와 마음챙김에 미치는 효과와, 정적·동적 명상유형에서 스트레스와 마음챙김에 대해 학부모의 내향·외향 성격유형에 의한 상호작용효과를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 정적 명상과 동적 명상 프로그램에 18명씩 지원한 K 지역 학부모 36명을 대상으로 16시간 동안 비동등 통제집단 유사 실험을 하였고, 다변인 공변량 분석(MANCOVA)을 하였다. 독립변인은 학부모의 내향·외향 성격유형과 정적·동적 명상유형의 2요인 2수준이며, 종속변인은 스트레스와 마음챙김이며, 공변량은 사전검사 점수다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학부모의 내향·외향 성격유형에 따라 스트레스와 마음챙김은 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 학부모의 마음챙김은 정적·동적 명상유형에 따라 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 정적·동적 명상유형에서 스트레스나 마음챙김의 효과는 학부모의 내향·외향 성격유형에 따라 달라지지 않았다. 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학부모 대상으로 정적·동적 명상교육을 실시한다면 마음챙김 능력을 높이는데 정적명상이 동적명상보다 효과가 있을 것이며, 스트레스에 효과 차이가 없을 것이다. 둘째, 학부모의 내향·외향 성격유형에 따라 마음챙김이나 스트레스의 효과 차이가 없을 것이다. 마지막으로, 학부모의 정신건강과 역량강화를 위해 스트레스를 줄이고 마음챙김 능력을 높이는 목적으로 실시하는 정적·동적 명상 교육에서 학부모의 외향·내향 성격유형은 큰 영향을 주지 않을 것이다. The purposes of this study are to examine the main effects and the interaction effects of parents' personality types (introversion vs. extroversion personality) and meditation types (static vs. dynamic meditation) on stress and mindfulness. The design of experiment is a non-equivalent control group quasi experiment, which conducted for 16-hours for 36 parents in K region who participated in static (n: 18, in: 9, ex: 9) · dynamic (n:1 8, in: 7, ex: 11) meditation programs. Multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) was applied for data analysis. The independent variables are parents' introversion · extroversion personality traits and static · dynamic meditation types, the dependent variables are stress and mindfulness, and pre-test scores were employed as covariates. The analysis results are as follows: first, there was no difference in stress and mindfulness according to the parents' introversion and extroversion personality types. Second, parents' mindfulness differed according to the static and dynamic meditation types. Third, in the static and dynamic meditation types, the effect of stress or mindfulness did not change depending on the parents' introversion and extroversion personality types. The implications are as follows: first, if static and dynamic meditation education is provided for parents, static meditation will be more effective than dynamic meditation in improving mindfulness ability, and there will be no difference in the effect on stress. Second, there will be no difference in the effect of mindfulness or stress depending on the parents' introversion and extroversion personality types. Lastly, in order to reduce their stress and increase their mindfulness ability to strengthen their mental health and competence, it will not be greatly affected by the parents' extrovert and introvert personality types.
Recent Advances in Radiation-Hardened Sensor Readout Integrated Circuits

An instrumentation amplifier (IA) and an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) are essential circuit blocks for accurate and robust sensor readout systems. This paper introduces recent advances in radiation-hardening by design (RHBD) techniques applied for the sensor readout integrated circuits (IC), e.g., the three-op-amp IA and the successive-approximation register (SAR) ADC, operating against total ionizing dose (TID) and singe event effect (SEE) in harsh radiation environments. The radiation-hardened IA utilized TID monitoring and adaptive reference control to compensate for transistor parameter variations due to radiation effects. The radiation-hardened SAR ADC adopts delay-based double-feedback flip-flops to prevent soft errors which flips the data bits. Radiation-hardened IA and ADC were verified through compact model simulation, and fabricated CMOS chips were measured in radiation facilities to confirm their radiation tolerance.
