In Vietnam, young people are gradually becoming the most accessible objects to social networks. With the development of technology, they usually use online social networks (ONS) as a tool to update information through multimedia content, which may contain other people s information. In different cases, other people s information will be shared and received for different purposes. Therefore, the risk is inevitable and may affect the privacy of individuals whose information is shared, causing turbulence in the community. This study aims to measure impact and find out the factors that influence the willingness of others to share information on social networks in Ho Chi Minh City by examining young people s perceptions that their activities on Facebook may be risky for other people s information. Besides that, the study proposes solutions to avoid possible risks when sharing information with others.

In the past, traditional methods of research on ship maneuvering performance were estimated in calm waters. However, the course-keeping ability and the maneuvering performance of a ship can be influenced by the presence of waves. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the maneuvering behavior of a ship in waves. In this study, the force acting on a moving ship and a rudder behind the model ship will be performed in regular waves in Changwon National University (CWNU). In addition, the prediction force acting on the rudder in calm waters was carried out and compared with those of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Model test in regular wave was performed to predict the force acting on the ship and the rudder behind the model ship in various wave directions. The effects of wavelength and wave direction on hydrodynamic forces acting on the ship hull versus rudder angle is discussed.
Cytotoxic Activity of Parthenin, a Sesquiterpene Isolated from a Crinum ensifolium

Phytochemical study on the ethanol extract of a Crinum species by bioassay-guided fractionation resulted in the isolation of an active principle, which was determined as parthenin (1) on the basis of physicochemical and spectroscopic analyses. This is the first report on the existence of a sesquiterpenoid from Crinum ensifolium. Compound 1 was found to show strong cytotoxic activity against some cancer cell lines and strongly inhibit NF-kB activity with the IC50 value of 1.82 mM.

A new ceramide alomacrorrhiza A was isolated from the ethanolic extract of the plant Alocasia macrorrhiza (L.) Schott. Its chemical structure was elucidated as (2S,3S,4R)-2N-[(2'R)-2'- hydroxy-hexacosanoyl]-tetradecane-1,3,4-triol based on extensive 1D, 2D NMR, EI-MS, FABMS, HR-FAB-MS spectroscopic data and chemical degradation studies.

One new C29 sterol with a cyclopropane ring at C-25 and C-26, aragusteroketal B (1), and aragusterol B (2) were isolated from the Vietnamese marine sponge Ianthella sp. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analyses. Both 1 and 2 showed moderate cytotoxic activity against MCF-7, SK-Hep-1, and HeLa cell lines with IC50 in the range of 12.8-27.8 μM.
Medicinal Plant Extract and Chitosan Oligomer Antifungal Activities Inhibit Phytophthora capsici

This study aims to evaluate antioxidant and antifungal activities from medicinal plant’ methanol extract, chitosan oligomer, and the two combined. Their antioxidative activity was spectroscopically assessed through 2,2-diphenyl-2- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2'-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid (ABTS) radical scavenging assays. Alternatively, antifungal activity was determined through Phytophthora capsici's mycelial growth inhibition. DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities were observed at 1000 ppm concentrations for Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract (GU, 81.4%, IC50=238.4ppm; 83.5%, 199.5ppm, respectively), chitosan oligomer (ChiO, 64.8%, 438.2ppm; 66.6%, 314.5ppm), and GU+ChiO (78.3%, 329.7 ppm; 75.2%, 254.0 ppm). As the standard, ascorbic acid IC50 values were 112.0 and 101.7 ppm, respectively. GU, ChiO, and GU+ChiO at 2.5, 5.0, and 10.0 mg/mL concentrations significantly reduced Phytophthora capsici mycelial growth compared with the control treatment. GU+ChiO EC50 values were 2.04, 2.45, and 2.38 mg/mL at 3, 6, and 9 days after treatment, respectively. These results suggest that the GU and ChiO combination worked as elicitors, triggering enhanced P. capsici suppression in vitro.
Artocarpus nigrifolius: Cytotoxic and Antibacterial Constituents

Six known compounds including α-amyrin 3-acetate (1), β-sitosterol (2), betulinic acid (3), friedelan-3-one (4),artochamin B (5), and 2-C-methyl-D-erythritol 4-O-α-D-glucopyranoside (6) were isolated from the stem barks and leaves of Artocarpus nigrifolius (Moraceae) for the first time. Their structures were identified by spectroscopic methods as well as comparison with literatures. Cytotoxicity and antibacterial activity of 1-6 were evaluated. Results showed that artochamin B (5)possessed the highest cytotoxicity towards MCF7, Lu, HepG2,and KB cell lines with IC50 values of 4.59, 20.00, 3.60, and 1.18μg/mL, respectively. It also inhibited the growth of Gram-positive bacteria (Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus), whereas inactive on the growth of both Gram-negative bacteria and yeast.
