        China’s Economic Power in Asia: The Belt and Road Initiative and the Local Guangxi Government’s Role

        China’s growing economic power has been identified as a major factor in generating profound transformations in the strategic landscape in Asia. Beijing’s interest in using its economic power for the pursuit of geopolitical objectives remains strong. Many analysts believe that the ambitious Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) represents the continuation and even intensification of that interest. I unpack the role of China’s economic power in its external relations by focusing on how Guangxi, a subnational government in China, has facilitated the emergence of the BRI. My study suggests that in-depth knowledge about local governments’ activism in socioeconomic engagements with neighboring countries contributes significantly to a more nuanced understanding of China’s power, particularly its economic power in Asia.

        Research on Denoising Method of Metal Magnetic Memory Signal

        As the main transportation mode of oil and gas, oil and gas pipelines play an irreplaceable role in energy transportation. Metal magnetic memory detection technology can detect early stress concentration and invisible damage, and can be detected under the action of the geomagnetic field, without the need to magnetize the pipeline in advance. Since the magnetic memory signal is relatively weak, the actual detected signal will be affected by environmental noise, sensor jitter, and pipeline surface deposits. Therefore, the magnetic memory signal needs to be denoised. In this paper, the translation invariant wavelet denoising method, which is improved based on wavelet threshold denoising method, is used to denoise the collected pipeline magnetic memory signals. The experimental results show that the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) obtained by this method is 4.97 % higher than the unmodified wavelet threshold denoising, and 3.18 % higher than the SNR obtained by the particle swarm optimization wavelet threshold denoising.

        Molecular characterization and immunohistochemical localization of a mitogen-activated protein kinase, Accp38b, from Apis cerana cerana

        The p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) is involved in various processes, including stress responses, development, and differentiation. However, little information on p38 MAPK in insects is available. In this study, a p38 MAPK gene, $Accp38b$, was isolated from $Apis$ $cerana$ $cerana$ and characterized. The quantitative real-time PCR (Q-PCR) analysis revealed that $Accp38b$ was induced by multiple stressors. Notably, the expression of $Accp38b$ was relatively higher in the pupae phase than in other developmental phases. During the pupae phase, Accp38b expression was higher in the thorax than in the head and abdomen and higher in the fat body than in the muscle and midgut. Immunohistochemisty showed significant positive staining of Accp38b in sections from the brain, eyes, fat body, and midgut of $A.$ $cerana$ $cerana$. These results suggest that Accp38b may play a crucial role in stress responses and have multiple aspects function during development.

        Study on optimal conditions and adsorption kinetics of copper from water by collodion membrane cross-linked poly-γ-glutamic acid

        Poly-γ-glutamic acid (γ-PGA) is a novel polyamino acid formed through microorganism fermentation and biosynthesis. In the present test, membrane (PGA-C) formation by γ-PGA and collodion was performed by using 0.1%glutaraldehyde as a cross-linking agent. A study was conducted on the PGA-C adsorption of Cu2+, specifically the related adsorption equilibrium and kinetics, desorption and regeneration. The results show that with an initial solution pH=5.5and at 318 K, the static adsorption isotherm behavior of PGA-C is in compliance with the Langmuir model and is beneficial to the adsorption of the metal. Meanwhile, with the reaction lasting for 30min, adsorption equilibrium was reached with a maximum adsorption capacity up to 7.431 mg/g. The entire reaction process follows the pseudo-second-order kinetics. By using PGA-C, good regeneration results were obtained after adsorption-generation-adsorption cycling with an HCl solution (0.1 mol/L) as regeneration liquid.

        Transcriptome characterization and profiling related to detoxification enzyme genes in Chilo sacchariphagus (Lepidoptera Crambidae)

        Chilo sacchariphagus Bojeris is one of the most dangerous pests of sugarcane. The larvae damage the seedlings and stems of sugarcane and also harm sorghum, corn and other crops, which causes great economic losses to the sugar industry every year. Transcriptome sequencing and expression profile analysis of cytochrome P450 monooxygenase (CYP), carboxylesterase and glutathione S-transferase (GST) were carried out, which could provide a basis for drug resistance monitoring and drug resistance management of the pest. Unigenes of C. sacchariphagus were obtained by using the Illumina HiSeqTM 4,000 platform as 150 bp paired-end reads. A total of 173,013 unigenes were obtained after data assembly and redundancy removal. 28,330 unigenes were annotated based on multiple public databases, and the number of unigenes annotated by NR database was the largest. According to the transcriptome analysis, 214 candidate detoxification enzyme genes were identified, including 44 GSTs,138CYPs, and 32 CarEs. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the CYPs were mainly clustered in CYP4, CYP6, CYP9 and CYP12 subfamilies; CarEs mainly include antennal CarEs, venom CarEs and CarEs NOTUM; while the GSTs cluster mainly contains subfamilies such as delta, omega, epsilon, theta, zeta and sigma. In this study, transcriptome information of C. sacchariphagus was obtained, and genes related to detoxification were identified, which could provide data and a basis for the further study of detoxification and host plant adaptation mechanism of C. sacchariphagus.

        Injectable Hydrogels with Near-Infrared Controlled Drug Delivery for In Situ Photothermal/Endocrine Synergistic Endometriosis Therapy

        Background Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease in women of childbearing age. Commonly used treatment methods, such as endocrine and surgical therapies, display poor therapeutic effects with a high relapse probability. Thus, novel treatments for endometriosis are required. Methods In our study, polydopamine (PDA), letrozole (LTZ), and agarose (AG) hydrogels were combined to construct an injectable hydrogel with near-infrared controlled drug delivery named LTZ-PDA@AG hydrogel for endometriosis treatment. The release of letrozole can be accurately controlled by the near-infrared light intensity, exposure duration, polydopamine concentration, and hydrogel composition. Meanwhile, we isolated endometrial stromal cells from endometrium in patients with endometriosis, and constructed the rats’ model of endometriosis to verify the biological effects of LTZ-PDA@AG hydrogel. Results Owing to the sufficiently deep penetration of near-infrared light, the LTZ-PDA@AG hydrogel displayed a high temperature increase for efficient photothermal therapy. In addition, high local temperatures can further enhance the diffusion and penetration of letrozole, thereby achieving excellent therapeutic effect in vivo. Importantly, the in vivo and vitro test demonstrated the capacity of the nanocomposite hydrogel for endocrine-photothermal synergistic therapy and the biocompatibility. Conclusion Our work proposes a novel concept for precision endometriosis therapy by photothermal-enhanced endocrine therapy for endometriosis, which is proposed for the first time for the treatment of endometriosis and demonstrates excellent potential for further clinical translation.

      • Improved DV-Hop Localization Algorithm Based on Anchor Weight and Distance Compensation in Wireless Sensor Network

        Position information is the foundation of massive applications in Wireless Sensor Network(WSN). Three improved positioning algorithms based on DV-Hop are proposed in order to enhance the positioning accuracy of wireless sensor nodes. First improved algorithm is distance compensation algorithm (DCA) that creates a triangle model to compensate the estimated distance. The second improved algorithm creates a new chain table for all anchor nodes to record and compute the average hop distance. The third improved algorithm is weighting different anchor nodes with anchor nodes’ nearest unknown nodes. The second and third improved algorithms are based on the DCA. The simulation results show that the three improved algorithms are better than the original DV-Hop in localization accuracy. Compared to the original DV-Hop algorithm, the simulation results shows that the three improved algorithms proposed in the paper increase the positioning accuracy of the unknown nodes.

      • Virtual Network Mapping Algorithm Based on Load Balancing

        Recent studies for network virtualization have shown a promising way to overcome the Internet ossification. The one of the key issues in network virtualization is a virtual network mapping problem, i.e., mapping a virtual network to the physical network. The situations of dynamic arrivals of virtual network request and the limited life cycle of the virtual networks pose significant challenges to the virtual network mapping problem. A balance between the resource allocation of the physical network and the number of mapped virtual networks. In this paper, we have considered the time characteristics that virtual network requests when mapping algorithms so as to achieve the objective that the node load and link load can simultaneously reach a balance. Giving full consideration to mutual restraints of time and resources, we propose a two-dimensional discrete weighted model based on time and resources, and establish a mathematical programming model of minimizing the degree of two-dimensional load balancing. Moreover, we devise a VN embedding algorithms LB-VNE. Simulation experiments show that the proposed algorithms can increase the acceptance ratio and the revenue by the substrate network in the long term.
