      • 가와사끼병에서 면역글로불린 사용 후 ASO 수치의 변동에 관한 고찰

        Objective : Since Kawasaki disease was first described in 1967, the cause and prognostic factors have not been known despite many researches and efforts. The introduction of high-dose intravenous gamma-globulin (IVGG) was an epoch and IVGG is now a standard therapy. But the mode of action of IVGG in reducing inflammatory response is not clearly understood. Understanding of the mechanism should supply the clues that indicate the cause, prognosis, the better treatment of this disease. At present, the correlation of CRP, ESR and change of leukocyte numbers to Kawasaki diseases were known, but the correlation studies of ASO titers are rare. To discover this, we evaluated the interrelationship between the ASO titer and IVGG therapy. Methods and Materials : The subjects included 35 patients with Kawasaki disease who were treated by IVGG at department of pediatrics, Inje university, Busan Paik hospital from June, 2004 to December, 2005. Before and after IVGG administration, ASO titers were evaluated. Results: In the 32 among 35 patients, ASO titers checked before IVGG administration were increased prominently after IVGG therapy. Conclusion : Remarkably increased ASO titers after IVGG administration for the treatment of Kawasaki diseases were found. And changes of ASO titers seem to be due to immunoglobulin instead of streptococcal infection. Further studies will be necessary to clarify the pathogenic mechanisms of increased ASO titers.

        국가정보보호수준 측정 및 활용에 관한 연구

        정보보호 수준을 측정하는 것은 매우 어려운 일로써 정보보호의 영역이 계속 확장됨에 따라 개념자체를 정의하기가 어렵고 아울러 다차원적인 요인을 포함하는 정보보호 지표 선정의 어려움, 시계열적인 통계 데이터 부족, 상이한 정보보호 지표를 하나의 지수로 통합하는 문제가 있기 때문이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 정보보호수준을 계량적으로 측정하기 위한 방법론으로 가장 적합한 것은 지수화하는 것이다. 이는 정책입안자나 정보보호 이해관련자들이 종합적인 측면에서 정보보호수준 목표를 결정하고 실행결과를 평가하는데 용이하기 때문이다. 본 연구의 목적은 정보보호정책 수립 및 평가의 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있는 지수를 산출하기 위한 종합적인 정보보호수준 평가지수 모델을 제시하고 지수를 산출하는데 있다. 지수산출결과, 정보보호수준은 2002년부터 2005년까지를 시계열적으로 보면 매년 평균 5.8%의 증가추세를 보이고 있다. 반면 역기능수준은 2003년 1.25 인터넷 대란으로 증가한 것을 제외하고 꾸준한 감소추세를 나타내고 있다. 특히 정보보호수준과 역기능수준이 발산하고 있어 정보보호정책이 유효하게 작용하고 있다고 판단되어진다.

      • 자궁내막증 백서모형에서 Danazol과 Decapeptyl의 치료효과에 관한 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 장간막에 자궁내막 조직을 자가이식하여 수술적으로 유도된 자궁내막증 백서모형에서 자궁내막증의 치료를 위해 danazol과 decapetyl의 치료효과를 평가하는 것이다. 백서(n=48)들은 무작위적으로 정상대조군(n=12)과 수술적으로 유도된 자궁내막증군(n=36)으로 구분하였다. 후자는 비치료군과, danazol 치료군과 decapeptyl 치료군으로 세분하였다(각 군의 n=12). Danazol(8mg/일)은 수술후 4째주부터 구강을 통해 투여되었다. Decapeptyl(0.2mg/2주)은 근주하였다. 처음투약후 10일, 20일, 40일, 60일째에 각군의 2마리의 쥐를 희생시켰다. 저자들은 자궁내막증 이식체와 난소의 크기를 측정하여 다음의 결론를 얻었다. 1. 자궁내막증 이식체의 크기는 비치료군에 비해(3.91±1.08mm) danazol 치료군과 decapeptyl치료군에서 (각각2.28±0.17mm 과 2.78±0.97mm), 현저히 감소되었다(p<0.01). 2. danazol과 decapeptyl 두 치료군에서 장기치료가 단기치료보다 자궁내막증 이식체의 크기를 감소시키는데 더 효과적이었다(p<0.01). 3. 난소의 크기는 정상대조군과, 비치료군과 decapeptyl 치료군에서 유의하게 차이를 보이지 않은데 반해(각각 4.46±0.85mm, 4.77±0.82mm과 4.97±0.92mm), danazol 치료군에서는 유의하게 감소하였다(3.97±0.63mm) (p<0.63mm). 백서모형에서 수술적으로 이식된 자궁내막조직의 성장과 발달은 자궁내막증의 병인 이해와 신약개발에 유용한 연구모델을 제공할 수 있을 것 이다. The purpose of this study was to surgically induce endometriosis in the rat by autotransplanting endometrial tissue to the mesentery and to evaluate the efficacy of danazol and decapeptyl for the treatment of endometriosis. Rats(n=48) were randomly assigned to normal control group(n=12) and surgically induced endometriosis group(n=36). The latter was further divided into the untreated, danazol treated and decapeptyl treated groups (n=12 for each group). Danazol(8mg/day) was orally administrated from 4weeks after operation. Decapeptyl(O.2ml/2weeks) was injected intramuscularly. Two rats of each group are sacrificed on the 10th, 20th, 40th, 60th, 80th and lOOth day after the first drug administration. We measured sizes of endometriotic implants and ovaries. The results were as follows; 1. The sizes of endometriotic implants were significantly decreased(P<O.Ol) in the danazol and decapeptyl treated groups (2.28±O.71mm and 2.78±O.89mm, respectively) compared with untreated group(3.91±l.08mm). 2. Long term treatment was more effective than short term treatment in decreasing the size of endometriotic implants in both danazol and decapeptyl treated groups(P<O.Ol). 3. The size of ovaries was not significantly different among the normal control, untreated and decapeptyl treated groups(4.65±O.83mm, 4.77±O.82mm and 4.97±O.92mm, respectively) but was significantly decreased(P<O.Ol) in the danazol treated group(3.97±O.63mm). The successful growth and development of surgically transplanted endometrial tissue in the rat may offer an useful research model that can be used to understand pathogenesis of endometriosis and to explore new drug therapies.

      • UV 광산화 공정 및 광촉매 공정을 이용한 벤젠 및 톨루엔 가스의 처리

        Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are widely used in both industrial and domestic activities. This extensive use results in adverse effect in aquatic, soil and atmospheric environments. Conventional methods for treating VOCs from gas streams, such as absorption, adsorption, condensation and thermal /catalytic incineration all have their inherent limitations and none are definitely cost-effective to treat emissions from the small workplace such as architectural coating, printing, and dry cleaning. In this study, photooxidation-photocatalytic oxidation process was applied in the decomposition of VOCs and benzene and toluene, typical VOCs in industrial area, which were adapted as experimental gases. In photooxidation process, the decomposition efficiency of benzene and toluene was evaluated by varying different conditions, such as UV output, flowrate and background gas. The results showed that the decomposition efficiency of benzene and toluene increased considerably with increasing UV output and retention time. In case of background gas, the decomposition efficiency in standard air was higher than that in nitrogen. In photooxidation-photocatalytic oxidation process, the decomposition efficiency was higher than that in photooxidation process and the concentration of ozone generated from photooxidation reactor was drastically decreased after photocatalytic oxidation process. From this study, the results indicate that photooxidation-photocatalytic oxidation process is ideal for treatment of benzene and toluene from the small workplace. But further process optimization must be achieved to apply this process in workplace.

      • 5-〔3-(N-Substituted Piperazinyl)Propoxy〕Indan類의 合成과 中樞神經抑制效果

        Five new indans, 5-[3-(N-substitued piperaziny) propxy]indans, were synthesized by condensation of 5-(3-bromopropoxy)indan, the intermediate, and N-substituted piperazines. The structure of the compunds were determined by means of IR, NMR spectoscopy along with elemental analysis. Each compound was tested for antimorphine and antiamphetamine effects as part of CNS depressant effects and for muscle relaxant action in mice. Thes compound exhibited less potent activity compared to chlordiazepoxide on CNS depressant effect. Muscle reaxant action of the compounds, the side effect of tranquilizer, however, was much weaker than that of chlordiazepoxide.

        응급환자에 대한 맥박산소측정기의 임상적 평가

        Pulse oximetry is a noninvasive method of measuring blood oxygen saturation even before changes to the cardiopulmonary functions become apparent clinically. Therefore it has been widely excepted in many disciplines as a standard patient monitoring equipment. But its accuracy has been argued at low oxygen saturation levels. To determine the accuracy of the pulse oximetry in the emergency department where the patients presenting with respiratory difficulty are expected to have low oxygen saturation levels. Prospective, cross-sectional, paired measurements of oxygen saturation by two different pulse oxineters(SpO2) against oxygen saturation of arterial blood gas analysis(SaO2) was performed from May 1994 to September 1995 at two different university hospitals. Two pulse oxineters each with its digital probe were applied to the patient for the measurement of SpO2 simultaneously and arterial blood gas was drawn for analysis(ABGA) at the same time to measure SaO2. 98 patients who met the criteria mostly consisted of cardiopulmonary patients. There were no significant differences between mean SpO2(88.1±11.4, 88.2±10.0) of the two pulse oximeters and mean SaO2(88.7±11.4) from the arterial blood gas analysis(p=NS). Strong correlations were found(r=.80). But the regression declined as SaO2 decreased especially SaO2 < 90%. The pulse oximetry is potentially useful in patients with clinical signs of acute hypoxemia and patients receiving interventions that may produce acute hypoxemia, because of their ability to continuously monitor the oxygen saturation. But pulse oximetry along cannot identify the degree of hypoxemia or severity of distress. Therefore patients complaining of respiratory difficulty in an emergengy department, history and physical examination must be performed with pulse oximeter as a guide while backing it up with ABGA.

        Goretex를 이용한 융비술

        융비술시 실리콘 고무는 다루기 쉽고 조직 반응이 적어 현대 많이 돌출의 합병증이 생길 수 있다. 저자등은 이러한 실리콘의 단점을 보완할 수 있는 goretex를 사용하여 융비술을 시행하고 비첨에 대해서 자가연골을 이식하여 만족할 만한 결과를 얻었기에 goretex가 안면부 연조직의 증강을 위한 이식재료로 적합하다고 생각되어 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Many different materials have been used to provide augmentation of the nasal dorsum. this include both autogenous and homogenous materials,as well as allografts. Silicone among the artificial materials has been most widely used. The silicone has some advantages and disadvantages. Goretex(expanded polytetra-fluoroethylene) which has widely used in vascular surgery and abdominal surgery can be used for facial soft tissue augmentation. The author presemts 2 cases of nasal augmentaion using goretex with literature review.

      • PDMS와 유리를 이용한 제한효 반응용 마이크로바이오칩 개발

        최근 생화학 심험 분야에서 초미세 구조를 이용한 소형화 분야가 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 소형화의 가증 큰 이점은 적은 양의 시료가 사용되기 때문에 실험 비용이 줄어들 뿐 아니라 실험 시간이 단축 된다는 것이다. 게다가 하나의 칩으로 바이오 실험의 모든 단계가 수행되는 랩 온어 칩의 통합을 위한 가능성을 나타내어 준다, 우리는 제한 효소 반응 실험에 응용하기 위해 새로운 마이크로바이오칩을 개발하였다, 이 마이크로 바이오칩은 PDMS와 유리를 사용해 제작하였고 총 실험 반응 양의 10㎕이다, 마이크로바이오칩을 이용한 제한효소 실험은 일반적으로 행해지는 실험 방법에 비해 반응 시간과 시료 양을 단축하는데 성공적이었다.
