Recommendations Service for Chronic Disease Patient in Multimodel Sensors Home Environment

<P>With advanced technologies in hand, there exist potential applications and services built around monitoring activities of daily living (ADL) of elderly people at nursing homes. Most of the elderly people in these facilities are suffering from different chronic diseases such as dementia. Existing technologies are mainly focusing on non-medication interventions and monitoring of ADL for addressing loss of autonomy or well-being. Monitoring and managing ADL related to cognitive behaviors for non-medication intervention are very effective in improving dementia patients' conditions. However, cognitive functions of patients can be improved if appropriate recommendations of medications are delivered at a particular time. Previously we developed the Secured Wireless Sensor Network Integrated Cloud Computing for Ubiquitous-Life Care (SC(3)). SC(3) services were limited to monitoring ADL of elderly people with Alzheimer's disease and providing non-medication recommendations to the patient. In this article, we propose a system called the Smart Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) as an integral part of the SC(3) platform. Using the Smart CDSS, patients are provided with access to medication recommendations of expert physicians. Physicians are provided with an interface to create clinical knowledge for medication recommendations and to observe the patient's condition. The clinical knowledge created by physicians as the knowledge base of the Smart CDSS produces recommendations to the caregiver for medications based on each patient's symptoms.</P>

With the advance of Information Technology (IT) and dynamic requirements, diverse application services have been provided for end users. With huge volume of these services and information, users are required to acquire customized services that provide personalized information and decision at particular extent of time. The case is more appealing in healthcare, where patients wish to have access to their medical record where they have control and provided with recommendation on the medical information. PHR (Personal Health Record) is most prevailing initiative that gives secure access on patient record at anytime and anywhere. PHR should also incorporate decision support to help patients in self-management of their diseases. Available PHR system incorporates basic recommendations based on patient routine data. We have proposed decision support service called “Smart CDSS” that provides recommendations on PHR data for diabetic patients. Smart CDSS follows HL7 vMR (Virtual Medical Record) to help in integration with diverse application including PHR. PHR shares patient data with Smart CDSS through standard interfaces that pass through Adaptability Engine (AE). AE transforms the PHR CCR/CCD (Continuity of Care Record/Document) into standard HL7 vMR format. Smart CDSS produces recommendation on PHR datasets based on diabetic knowledge base represented in shareable HL7 Arden Syntax format. The Smart CDSS service is deployed on public cloud over MS Azure environment and PHR is maintaining on private cloud. The system has been evaluated for recommendation for 100 diabetic patients from Saint’s Mary Hospital. The recommendations were compared with physicians’ guidelines which complement the self-management of the patient.
Quarriable Knowledge Creation Framework from Unstructured Scientific Documents

Knowledge graphs (KGs) play a pivotal role in modern applications such as decision-making systems, question answering systems, and searching and retrieval systems. However, the automatic construction of a knowledge graph from unstructured text is a challenging task. Moreover, traditional dictionary-, rule-based and supervised machine learning approaches are not reasonably practical due to their dependency on human-expert annotated resources. It is especially true when a knowledge graph is generated from domain-specific information, updated frequently, such as COVID-19 related information resources. This paper uses a pre-trained embedding model (BERT) to create word vectors from COVID-19 research articles. The proposed model is employed at two levels: entity extraction from the text and querying the knowledge stored in KG.

$Bi_{0.5}Na_{0.5}TiO_3$ (BNT) based ceramics are considered potential lead-free alternatives for $Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3$(PZT) based ceramics in various applications such as sensors, actuators and transducers. However, BNT-based ceramics have lower electromechanical performance as compared with PZT based ceramics. Therefore, in this work, lead-free bulk $0.99[(Bi_{0.5}Na_{0.5})_{0.935}Ba_{0.065}]_{(1-x)}La_xTiO_3-0.01SrZO_3$ (BNBTLax-SZ, with x = 0, 0.01, 0.02) ceramics were synthesized by a conventional solid state reaction The crystal structure, dielectric response, degree of diffuseness and electric-field-induced strain properties were investigated as a function of different La concentrations. All samples were crystallized into a single phase perovskite structure. The temperature dependent dielectric response of La-modified BNBT-SZ ceramics showed lower dielectric response and improved field-induced strain response. The field induced strain increased from 0.17%_for pure BNBT-SZ to 0.38 % for 1 mol.% La-modified BNBT-SZ ceramics at an applied electric field of 6 kV/mm. These results show that La-modified BNBT-SZ ceramic system is expected to be a new candidate material for lead-free electronic devices.
Dielectric and Ferroelectric Properties of Nb Doped BNT-Based Relaxor Ferroelectrics

The effects of Nb doping on the crystal structure, microstructure, and dielectric ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties of $(Bi_{0.5}Na_{0.5})_{0.935}Ba_{0.065}Ti_{(1-x)}Nb_xO_3-0.01SrZrO_3$ (BNBTNb-SZ, with ${\chi}=0$, 0.01 and 0.02) ceramics have been investigated. X-ray diffraction patterns revealed that all ceramics have a pure perovskite structure with tetragonal symmetry. The grain size of the ceramics slightly decreased and a change in grain morphology from square to spherical shape was observed in the Nb-doped samples. The maximum dielectric constant temperature ($T_m$) increases with increasing amount of Nb; however, ferroelectric-relaxor transition temperature ($T_{F-R}$) and maximum dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}_m$) values decrease gradually. Nb addition disrupted the polarization hysteresis loops of the BNBT-SZ ceramics by leading a reduction in the remnant polarization coercive field and piezoelectric constant.

Lead-free 0.99[(Bi<SUB>0.5</SUB>Na<SUB>0.5</SUB>)<SUB>0.935</SUB>Ba<SUB>0.065</SUB>Ti<SUB>(1-x)</SUB>Nb<SUB>x</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>]-0.01SrZrO<SUB>3</SUB> (BNBTNb100x-SZ, with Nb100x=0-1) ceramics were prepared by the conventional mixed oxide route. X-ray diffraction and Raman scattering was utilized for the structural evolution of Nb-modified BNBT-SZ ceramics at average and short-scale localized structure. Temperature dependent dielectric properties showed ferroelectric-ergodic relaxor (FE-ER) transition in Nb-modified BNBT-SZ ceramics by producing a significant disruption of the long-range FE order. A giant normalized strain of 825pm/V at 4kV/mm was achieved at Nb1.0. Interestingly, at a relatively low applied field of 3kV/mm, the Nb0.75 sample displayed a large electric field-induced strain (EFIS) response of 0.20%, which is highest value obtained in non-textured lead-free BNT-based ceramics at such low driving field. The structural distortion induced by doping and electric poling is correlated with the dielectric, ferroelectric and EFIS response, and the evolution of giant strain was ascribed to reversible field induced phase transition from ER-FE phase.
