Vol. 6-1. 191-211. Korean dramas started the Korean wave in Vietnam and are still a favourite for Vietnamese people. Loving Korean dramas has become a motive for studying Korean language and culture among a great number of Vietnamese students. Therefore, using the Korean dramas as teaching materials would lure the attention from the students as well as create an interesting studying atmosphere. In addition, Korean dramas use lively and daily communication language so as to help students to approach to the modern language not the formal one stated in the textbooks. The study aims at recommending a suitable teaching methodology of Korean language and culture through television dramas. The contents of Korean language-culture teaching and learning methodology in this paper include three parts: linguistic etiquette, productive skill based on comparison of language and cultural characteristics of Vietnamese and Korean languages, and the general Korean language-culture teaching. Regarding the teaching methodology of Korean language and culture through television dramas, this study brings about some suggestions such as using drama as a audio visual media in practising speaking and listening skills, using drama script in improving the reading skill, and sharpening the writing skill by rewriting the script in the cross-culture perspective.(Vietnam National University-Hochiminh City)

문제: 환자가 수술장내에서 수술을 기다리면서 느끼는 불안감을 최소화할수있도록해야하지만수술실의 효율성 및 의료진 편의성 위주로 운영되고 있어 수술실 내 대기시간이 연장되고 있다. 목적: 수술장내 대기시간을 단축시키기 위해 수술환자의 이동경로에 따른 지연요인과 문제점을파악하고 개선하여 환자가 수술을기다리면서 느끼는 불안감을 최소화하고자 한다. 의료기관: 부산시에 소재한 481병상의 종합병원 수술실 질 향상 활동: 수술환자의 대기시간 지연요인과 문제점을 파악하고 개선을 통해 질 향상을 도모하였다. 개선효과: 대기시간 수행율에서 수술장 도착까지의 수행율이 개선전 95%에서 개선후98%로, 수술방입실까지의 수행율이 개선전 88%에서 개선후 94%로, 마취시작 까지의 수행율이 개선전 93%에서 개선후 96%로 수행율이높아졌다.

The presence of twin hulls of a catamaran has a strong impact on wave pattern in the whole inner region due to interference between waves generated by each demi-hull. Consequently, wave profiles as well as wave height become complicated and unpredictable in the inner region not only in still water, but also in the presence of waves. Determining wave characteristics between demi-hulls of the catamaran is essential for predicting the operation of an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) throughout the launch and recovery (LAR) process. This study performed an experiment to investigate wave characteristics between demi-hulls of the catamaran under regular and irregular waves at various wave directions and speeds. The experiment was designed to measure wave elevation in the inner region between demi-hulls in waves using ultrasonic sensors and capacitance wave probes. The experimental method and setting were verified exacting by comparing the motion response of the catamaran measured by the Qualisys system with numerical simulation using the 3D panel method. Then, wave elevation in the inner region was measured and analyzed to wave height which is a representative parameter of regular waves and to wave spectral density and significant wave height which are representative parameters for irregular waves. These parameters were compared to those of the ocean waves to understand influences of wavelengths, sea states, wave directions, and speeds on wave characteristics between demi-hulls of the catamaran. Plotting of difference from ocean waves indicated the discrepancy in wave characteristics among positions in the inner region, wavelengths, wave directions, sea states, and speeds compared to ocean waves. Results of wave characteristics in the inner region are valuable to analyze motion response and behavior of AUV during LAR process of unmanned surface vehicle (USV).
Determinants Influencing Management Competency of Small and Medium Enterprise Directors in Vietnam

Currently, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are accounting for about 98% of the total number of enterprises in Vietnam. Each year, SMEs create over one million new jobs, utilize up to 51% of the labor force in the society, and contribute more than 40% of GDP to the country. The study aims to analyze factors affecting the management competency of directors in small and medium enterprises in Vietnam. To achieve these research objectives, quantitative and qualitative methods were used concurrently. 300 questionnaires were sent out, but only 276 were collected and used for the quantitative analysis through SPSS 20.0 software. Cronbach’s Alpha, EFA, and regression were used to further confirm the research findings. The research findings show that all four proposed factors have impacts on the management competency of SME directors, among which enterprise features and specific policies for entrepreneur development in the locality have the strongest impacts, followed by personal features and business environment. The findings of this study suggest that managers need to focus on factors affecting the management competency of directors. This paper also provides new insight into the management competency of directors. Based on the findings, some recommendations are given for SMEs to improve management competency.
Numerical Investigation of Motion Response of the Tanker at Varying Vertical Center of Gravities

The vertical center of gravity (VCG) has a significant impact on the roll motion response of a surface ship, particularly oil tankers based on the oil level in the tanker after discharging oil at several stations or positional changes, such as changes in the superstructure and deck structure. This study examined the motion response of the Korea very large crude carrier 2 (KVLCC2) at various VCGs, especially roll motion when the VCG changed. The potential theory in the Ansys AQWA program was used as a numerical simulation method to calculate the motion response. On the other hand, the calculations obtained through potential theory overestimated the roll amplitudes during resonance and lacked precision. Therefore, roll damping is a necessary parameter that accounts for the viscosity effect by performing an experimental roll decay. The roll decay test estimated the roll damping coefficients for various VCGs using Froude’s method. The motion response of the ship in regular waves was evaluated for various VCGs using the estimated roll-damping coefficients. In addition, the reliability of the numerical simulation in motion response was verified with those of the experiment method reported elsewhere. The simulation results showed that the responses of the surge, sway, heave, pitch, and yaw motion were not affected by changing the VCG, but the natural frequency and magnitude of the peak value of the roll motion response varied with the VCG.
