The spread of Corona virus (COVID-19) is pandemic. As the congress enacted the Bayanihan: to Heal as One Act, officially designated as Republic Act No. 11469, the president implemented the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon. Due to ECQ, there is the cessation of work, business, schooling and transportation; so people just stay at home to avoid contagion. It was in this contention that the researchers conducted this study to explore and navigate the thoughts and perspectives of the 15 graduating college students about their lived experiences during the ECQ. The only instrument employed in this research was the closed-fixed interview that covered both factual and meaning-generation level. There were no predetermined questions asked, in order to remain as open and adaptable as possible to the participants’ thoughts and perspectives on the enhanced community quarantine thru their value judgment lenses. The researchers prepared interview questions; participants were asked thru phone calls and skype. Responses were analyzed and categorized to extract their thoughts and perspectives. Conclusions were drawn and future research directions were offered.

Ternary organic photovoltaic devices were prepared through the addition of small amounts of metalloporphyin-terthiophenes to two established low bandgap polymer:fullerene blends. The methodology afforded a PCDTBT:PC71BM-based device that displayed an initial power conversion efficiency of 5.1%, an increase of 16% when compared to the binary blend. Among the range of metalloporphyrins considered in this study, the Cu(II)-porphyrin derivatives were found to result in the most significant efficiency improvements.
Language Needs Analysis: An EAP Curriculum Design to Develop Foreign Students’ English Skills
Joan C. Generoso,Alice Mae M. Arbon 아시아영어교육학회 2020 The Journal of Asia TEFL Vol.17 No.2
This study determines the need to strengthen the English Orientation Program (EOP) for foreign language learners especially due to the changes in the Philippine educational system from K-10 to K- 12 curriculum that demands higher competency in the use of English in the various academic fields of study. Specifically, this study proposes to redesign the EOP into English for Academic Purposes Program with some modifications and enhancements based on the needs of the students. Thus, this study attempts to determine the language needs of foreign students. First, it determines the needs of foreign students in the four macro skills. Second, it identifies the difficulties experienced by foreign students as perceived by both their content and language teachers. Hence, identifying these needs and difficulties would be helpful in creating syllabi for English programs. Results showed that students identified the problem in vocabulary, taking down notes when listening to lectures, understanding the text when reading texts, and finding the appropriate words when reporting and when writing; this finding on writing is affirmed by language teachers. For the content teachers, they find these skills problematic for their students: pronunciation in speaking, and listening to instructions resulting in not being able to perform tasks well.
PREDICTING AUTO-IGNITION CHARACTERISTICS OF RCCI COMBUSTION USING A MULTI-ZONE MODEL
U. EGÜZ,N. C. J. MAES,C. A. J. LEERMAKERS,L. M. T. SOMERS,L. P. H. DE GOEY 한국자동차공학회 2013 International journal of automotive technology Vol.14 No.5
The objective of new combustion concepts is to meet emission standards by improving fuel air mixing prior to ignition. Since there is no overlap between injection and ignition, combustion is governed mainly by chemical kinetics and it is challenging to control the phasing of ignition. Reactivity Controlled Compression Ignition (RCCI) combustion aims to control combustion phasing by altering the fuel ratios of the high- and low octane fuel and injection timings. In this study the dual fuel blend is prepared with gasoline and diesel fuels. The applied injection timings of the diesel are very early (90 to 60o CA bTDC). In the detailed reaction mechanism, n-heptane and iso-octane represent diesel and gasoline fuel, respectively. A multi-zone model approach is implemented to perform RCCI combustion simulation. Ignition characteristics are analyzed by using CA50 as the main parameter. In the experiments for the early direct injection (DI) timing advancing the injection time results in a later ignition. Qualitatively, the trend effect of the diesel injection timing and the effect of the ratio gasoline/diesel are captured accurately by the multi-zone model.
PERPENDICULAR MAGNETIC ANISOTROPY OF Au/(Fe-Co) METALLIC MULTILAYER44S

First-principles calcualtions of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy have been performed and it is predicted that the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy energy of a Au(Fe-Co)(111) multilayer will be larger than that of a Au/Co multilayer. Then we have actually synthesized the Au/(Fe-Co) multilayers by MBE method and found that theses multilayers show the predicted properites. The surface magnetic anisotropy energy is $0.64mj/m^2$, which is larger than the value reported previously for the Au/Co multilayer by 10%. Ther result indicated the possibility to control the magnetic anisortopy by changing the number of valence electrons.
