With background of application of sustainable development strategy and protection of earth's resource, land use and land cover change has gained more focus because of its role in regional social and economic development and global environment change. In this study, a new method has been proposed for change detection from remote sensing data such as Thermatic Mapper data. With thoughts derived from theory of Remote Sensing Information Model (RSIM), this article has tried to explore core characteristics of RSIM on LUCC, of which one is typical of the model, i.e., there exists disturbed information and pseudo-information among remote sensing data being processed. These kinds of information had been analyzed, and relevant methods proposed to remove them in order to obtain proper changed information LUCC. GIS becomes the basic environment to process and integrate different kinds of data, such GPS data and land use survey data and DEM. How to carry out terrain correction in case of mountainous area will be a care problem, in the next stage of study.
High-j Proton h11/2 and g7/2 Intruder Bands in 113In

Excited states of 113In have been populated through the heavy-ion fusion evaporation reaction 110Pd(7Li, 4n)113In. A new band with the configuration of a proton d5/2 orbital is identified. Two ΔI = 2 intruder bands, built on the πh11/2 and the πg7/2 orbitals, have been extended to spins (63/2-)ħ and (55/2+)ħ, respectively. The negative-parity πh11/2 intruder band shows a smooth increase in aligned spin, which is attributed to a strong proton-neutron interaction. The properties of the positive-parity πg7/2 band are discussed based on tilted axis cranking model calculations, and the features of the antimagnetic rotation for this band are shown after backbend. Furthermore, the contributions of the two-shears-like mechanism, the neutron (gd)ν shell and the core rotation are investigated for the positive-parity πg7/2 band.
Study on failure mechanism of line contact structures of nuclear graphite

Line contact structures, such as the contact between graphite brick and graphite tenon, widely exist in high-temperature gas-cooled reactors. Due to the stress concentration effect, the line contact area is one of the dangerous positions prone to failure in the nuclear reactor core. In this paper, the failure mechanism of line contact structures composed of IG11 nuclear graphite column and brick were investigated by means of experiment and finite element simulation. It was found that the failure process mainly includes three stages: firstly, the damage accumulation in nuclear graphite material led to the characteristic yielding of the line contact structure, but no macroscopic failure can be observed at this stage; secondly, the stresses near the contact area met Mohr failure criterion, and a crack initiated and propagated laterally in the contact zone, that is, local macroscopic failure occurred at this stage; finally, a second crack initiated in the contact area and developed in to a Y-shape, resulting in the final failure of the structure. <▼1><P>Carbon-coated Ni nanoparticles supported on N-doped carbon enable efficient electroreduction of CO<SUB>2</SUB> to CO comparable to single Ni sites.</P></▼1><▼2><P>The development of highly selective, low cost, and energy-efficient electrocatalysts is crucial for CO<SUB>2</SUB> electrocatalysis to mitigate energy shortages and to lower the global carbon footprint. Herein, we first report that carbon-coated Ni nanoparticles supported on N-doped carbon enable efficient electroreduction of CO<SUB>2</SUB> to CO. In contrast to most previously reported Ni metal catalysts that resulted in severe hydrogen evolution during CO<SUB>2</SUB> conversion, the Ni particle catalyst here presents an unprecedented CO faradaic efficiency of approximately 94% at an overpotential of 0.59 V, even comparable to that of the best single Ni sites. The catalyst also affords a high CO partial current density and a large CO turnover frequency, reaching 22.7 mA cm<SUP>–2</SUP> and 697 h<SUP>–1</SUP> at –1.1 V (<I>versus</I> the reversible hydrogen electrode), respectively. Experiments combined with density functional theory calculations showed that the carbon layer coated on Ni and N-dopants in carbon material both play important roles in improving catalytic activity for electrochemical CO<SUB>2</SUB> reduction to CO by stabilizing *COOH without affecting the easy *CO desorption ability of the catalyst.</P></▼2>

Objective: Whether metabolic redistribution occurs in patients with white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is unknown. This study aimed 1) to propose a measure of the brain metabolic network for an individual patient and preliminarily apply it to identify impaired metabolic networks in patients with WMHs, and 2) to explore the clinical and imaging features of metabolic redistribution in patients with WMHs. Materials and Methods: This study included 50 patients with WMHs and 70 healthy controls (HCs) who underwent 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/MRI. Various global property parameters according to graph theory and an individual parameter of brain metabolic network called “individual contribution index” were obtained. Parameter values were compared between the WMH and HC groups. The performance of the parameters in discriminating between the two groups was assessed using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). The correlation between the individual contribution index and Fazekas score was assessed, and the interaction between age and individual contribution index was determined. A generalized linear model was fitted with the individual contribution index as the dependent variable and the mean standardized uptake value (SUVmean) of nodes in the whole-brain network or seven classic functional networks as independent variables to determine their association. Results: The means ± standard deviations of the individual contribution index were (0.697 ± 10.9) x 10-3 and (0.0967 ± 0.0545) x 10-3 in the WMH and HC groups, respectively (p < 0.001). The AUC of the individual contribution index was 0.864 (95% confidence interval, 0.785–0.943). A positive correlation was identified between the individual contribution index and the Fazekas scores in patients with WMHs (r = 0.57, p < 0.001). Age and individual contribution index demonstrated a significant interaction effect on the Fazekas score. A significant direct association was observed between the individual contribution index and the SUVmean of the limbic network (p < 0.001). Conclusion: The individual contribution index may demonstrate the redistribution of the brain metabolic network in patients with WMHs.
p38 MAPK Signaling Mediates Mitochondrial Apoptosis in Cancer Cells Induced by Oleanolic Acid

Oleanolic acid (OA) is a nutritional component widely distributed in various vegetables. Although it has been well recognized for decades that OA exerts certain anti-tumor activity by inducing mitochondria-dependent apoptosis, it is still unclear that what molecular signaling is responsible for this effect. In this study, we employed cancer cell lines, A549, BXPC-3, PANC-1 and U2OS to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying OA anti-tumor activity. We found that activation of MAPK pathways, including p-38 MAPK, JNK and ERK, was triggered by OA in both a dose and time-dependent fashion in all the tested cancer cells. Activation was accompanied by cleavage of caspases and PARP as well as cytochrome C release. SB203580 (p38 MAPK inhibitor), but not SP600125 (JNK inhibitor) and U0126 (ERK inhibitor), rescued the pro-apoptotic effect of OA on A549 and BXPC-3 cells. OA induced p38 MAPK activation promoted mitochondrial translocation of Bax and Bim, and inhibited Bcl-2 function by enhancing their phosphorylation. OA can induce reactive oxygen species (ROS)-dependent ASK1 activation, and this event was indispensable for p38 MAPK-dependent apoptosis in cancer cells. In vivo, p38 MAPK knockdown A549 tumors proved resistant to the growth-inhibitory effect of OA. Collectively, we elucidated that activation of ROS/ASK1/p38 MAPK pathways is responsible for the apoptosis stimulated by OA in cancer cells. Our finding can contribute to a better understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying the antitumor activity of nutritional components.
Acquired Localized Hypertrichosis Induced by Internal Fixation and Plaster Cast Application

Hypertrichosis refers to increased vellus hair growth and is independent to androgen excess. The acquired localized hypertrichosis (ALH) is one of the typical hypertrichosis,which mainly results from chronic irritation, inflammation,friction, and occlusion by plaster of Paris. Here, we report a young boy who had ALH on his right hand following a closed fracture with internal fixation and plaster cast application. The case is unusual because the hairy area is limited to the operative region of internal fixation. We suggest that the local vascular changes and skin inflammation induced by internal fixation and plaster cast application may be associated with ALH.

Bi(Zn1/2Nb2/5)O3-modified BaTiO3 ceramics were designed with formula (1‒x)BaTiO3‒xBi(Zn1/2Nb2/5)O3 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.15) and fabricated using conventional solid-state route. With increasing Bi(Zn1/2Nb2/5)O3 concentration, grain volume increased and phase structure was transformed from tetragonal to pseudo-cubic. Dielectric properties changed from temperature-dependent to temperature-insensitive and curves were flattened. Additionally, higher pseudo-cubic phase content induced slim P-E loop and low Pr. Therefore, 0.94BaTiO3‒0.06Bi(Zn1/2Nb2/5)O3 ceramic achieved energy storage density of 1.85 J/cm3 and high energy efficiency of 91.2% under electric field of 230 kV/cm. This energy storage density was 5 times higher than that of pure BT ceramic. Meanwhile, energy storage properties of this ceramic exhibited excellent thermal stability in the range of 30–120 °C and good frequency stability over 10–100 Hz. This work provides promising alternative option in energy storage materials.
