      • Noble Implementation of Motor Driver with All Programmable SoC for Humanoid Robot or Industrial Device

        Huang, LinYun,Lee, Young-Pil,Moon, Yong-Seon,Bae, Young-Chul WORLD SCIENTIFIC PUBLISHING 2017 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF HUMANOID ROBOTICS Vol.14 No.4

<P>Currently, as the requirements for simple implementations in the motor control technologies increase, System-on-Chip (SoC) device such as Zynq All Programmable SoC was devised to meet those requirements. Because this CPU and FPGA can be assembled into one SoC device, we can consolidate motor-control functions and additional processing tasks into a single SoC device. The control algorithms, networking and other tasks, are off-loaded to the programmable logic that can include multiple control cores and multiple control system. This SoC system with a single chip can allow the hardware design with a single chip, hence, we can implement to control the motor to be simpler, more reliable, and less expensive. In this paper, in order to implement motor controller, we apply latest All Programmable SoC technologies for humanoid robot or industrial device that is integrated with FPGA technologies and embedded processor technologies. We also propose the structure of motor controller that decentralizes the function of motor driver from previous typical motor driver into FPGA and level of embedded processor by using All Programmable SoC for humanoid robot or industrial device. We verify the possibilities of applying the novel implemented motor controller in Zynq EPP (Extensible Processing Platform) which is one kind of All Programmable SoC made by Xilinx. To do this, we perform velocity control and position control with digital PI controller on the BLDC motor.</P>

Periodic Doubling and Chaotic Attractor in the Love Model with a Fourier Series Function as External Force

Linyun Huang,Youngchul Bae 한국지능시스템학회 2017 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL of FUZZY LOGIC and INTELLIGE Vol.17 No.1

This paper propose a dynamic mathematical model of love with the Fourier series function as an external force. We also investigate the periodic doubling including 1, 2, 4 periodic motion, chaotic attractor and limit cycle in the love models based on Romeo and Juliet with the Fourier series function as an external force, using time series and phase portraits. To show the nonlinear phenomena using time series and phase portraits, we vary the parameter value with the Fourier series function as an external force.

시간지연을 갖는 로미오와 줄리엣의 사랑모델에서의 거동해석

        황림운(Linyun Huang),배영철(Young-Chul Bae) 한국지능시스템학회 2015 한국지능시스템학회논문지 Vol.25 No.2

We say that human have an animal of emotion. There are various kind in the emotion of human. One of among them, love has been studied in sociology and psychology as a matter of great concern. In this paper, we propose a novel love model with the delay time as response time for love. We also consider it in the Romeo and Juliet of love model to analyze their romantic behaviors. First we consider the Juliet only have a time delay, Romeo only have a time delay, and both Romeo and Juliet have a time delay. We represent their behaviors as time series and phase portrait, and we analyze their difference.

Recently, it is emphasized importance of family. The new family organize including husband and wife are created by caused marriage, they organize new family including wife’s home and husband’s home. As a result, they may experience about conflict or peace between new family and previous family. The research of family mainly have been studied in the social science side. However, because researchers of social science deals with linguistic emotion status, there is no mathematical modeling for family relationship. In this paper, one of the nonlinear research for social subject, we modify love model of Romeo and Juliet. Then we propose novel family relationship model for parent-in-law and daughter (or son)-in- law relation. We also confirm chaotic behavior or nonlinear behavior by time series and phase portrait.

Distributed sliding mode consensus control of energy storage systems in wind farms for power system frequency regulation

        Yinfang Zhu,Linyun Xiong,Changyu Ban,Sunhua Huang 전력전자학회 2024 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.24 No.7

With the increasing penetration of wind power into the grid, its intermittent and fluctuating characteristics pose a challenge to the frequency stability of grids. Energy storage systems (ESSs) are beginning to be used to assist wind farms (WFs) in providing frequency support due to their reliability and fast response performance. However, the current schemes mostly focused on the sole operation of either WT or ESSs for frequency support, lacking in economy and reliability. To address these issues, this work proposes a sliding mode consensus control (SMCC) method for ESSs to assist the frequency response of WTs. First, a coordination strategy for the WTs and ESS is proposed to reinforce the frequency support capability of a WT–ESS by determining the optimal capacity of ESSs. Meanwhile, a novel SMCC is proposed to achieve proportional power sharing among ESSs and increase the total power output of the entire WFs during wind energy shortages. Moreover, an event triggered communication mechanism is utilized to reduce the information exchanges among ESSs. Subsequently, a Lyapunov stability analysis is conducted to prove the stability and finite time consensus of the proposed method. Simulation case studies are conducted in IEEE 39-bus system to validate the effectiveness of the proposed framework.

Mesenchymal Stem Cells Modified with Stromal Cell-Derived Factor 1б Improve Cardiac Remodeling via Paracrine Activation of Hepatocyte Growth Factor in a Rat Model of Myocardial Infarction

        Junming Tang,Jianing Wang,Linyun Guo,Xia Kong,Jianye Yang,Fei Zheng,Lei Zhang,Yongzhang Huang 한국분자세포생물학회 2010 Molecules and cells Vol.29 No.1

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are a promising source for cell-based treatment of myocardial infarction (MI), but existing strategies are restricted by low cell survival and engraftment. We examined whether SDF-1 transfection improve MSC viability and paracrine action in infarcted hearts. We found SDF-1-modified MSCs effectively ex-pressed SDF-1 for at least 21days after exposure to hy-poxia. The apoptosis of Ad-SDF-1-MSCs was 42% of that seen in Ad-EGFP-MSCs and 53% of untreated MSCs. In the infarcted hearts, the number of DAPI-labeling cells in the Ad-SDF-1-MSC group was 5-fold that in the Ad-EGFP-MSC group. Importantly, expression of antifibrotic factor, HGF, was detected in cultured MSCs, and HGF expression lev-els were higher in Ad-SDF-MSC-treated hearts, compared with Ad-EGFP-MSC or control hearts. Compared with the control group, Ad-SDF-MSC transplantation significantly decreased the expression of collagens I and III and matrix metalloproteinase 2 and 9, but heart function was im-proved in d-SDF-MSC-treated animals. In conclusion, SDF-1–modified MSCs enhanced the tolerance of engrafted MSCs to hypoxic injury in vitro and improved their viability in infarcted hearts, thus helping preserve the contractile function and attenuate left ventricle (LV) remodeling, and this may be at least partly mediated by enhanced paracrine signaling from MSCs via antifibrotic factors such as HGF.
