Isolated arteritis has the same histological picture as polyarteritis nodosa but affects the arteries of one organ only We report a case of asymptomatic isolated arteritis, histologically identical to polyarteritis nodosa of the uterine cervix, This arteritis was incidentally found in post-conization specimen.
비정상 초기임신의 감별진단을 위한 혈청내 B-hCG , progesterone 및 Alpha-fetoprotein 측정

A prospective clinical study was done to evaluate usefulness of serum B-hCG, progesterone(P4) and alpha-fetoprotein(a-FP) determinations in normal intrauterine pregnancy, abnormal intrauterine pregnancy(including blighted ovum, incomplete abortion and messed abortion), and ectopic pregnancy. Serum samples and medical records were prospectively analyzed with 40 cases of normal Intrauterine pregnancy, 60 cases of abnormal Intrauterine pregnancy, and 60 cases of ectopic pregnancy. P4, B-hCg and a-FP were highest in normal intrauterine pregnancy. The results showed that there was significant difference in serum B-hCG, P4 and a-FP. Serum B-hCG, P4 and a-FP(>=Gestational period 10wks) were significantly lower in abnormal intrauterine pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy than those in normal intrauterine pregnancy, whereas those were not significantly different in abnormal intrauterine pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy. A combination of biochemical markers including B-hCG, P4 and a-FP were applied usefully in early detection between one group, normal intrauterine pregnancy and other group(abnormal intrauterine pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy). We think that additional diagnostic aids such as sonogram, diagnostic D & C and/or laparoscopy should be supplemented in order to differentiate between abnormal Intrauterine pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy.

This clinical study was done to evaluate the effects of intrapartum AFI fetal outcome. For these purpose two hundred women from May. 1994 to December 1994 were studied. Inclusion criteria were : (1) term or postterm pregnancy (>37 completed weeeks gestation, (2) a singleton fetus, (3) vertex presentation , (4) latent phase of labor (cervix <4cm dilated). The presence of ruptured membranes was not exclusionary. We used real-time ultrasonography performed by the examiner with a 3.5-MHz transducer, linear scanner, SSD-650 Aloka. The AFI was measured with a technique by dividing the maternal abdomen into four quadrants, measuring the greatest vertical diameter of the largest pocket of amniotic fluid in each quadurant and summing the measurements, An AFI >5.0cm was considered to reflect adequate fluid. The results were as follows ; regardless of membrance status, the finding of associated with an increased risk of perinatal morbidity, abnormal FHR patterns, cesarean delivery for fetal distress and meconium stained state.
자궁경부 미세침윤암에 대한 단순 전자궁적출술후 속발한 침윤성 자궁경부암 1 예

Simple hysterctomy is an acceptable treatment method for microinvasive carcinoma which has less than 3 mm stromal invasion and no lymphovascular invasion because there have been few recurrences in this circumstance. We have experienced a case of microinvasive carcinoma which had less than 1 mm stromal invasion without lympho-vascular invasion in the specimen of cone and demonstrated the absence of any residual lesion in hysterectomy specimen. Recurrence occurred in the vaginal vault as invasive lesion after 1 year. A brief review of literature is presented.

Nonimmune hydrops fetalis is a very rare disorder described in 1943 by Potter, which may be characterized by a generalized abnormal accumulation of serous fluid in the entire body tissue and cavities unassociated with isoimmunization. We have experienced a case of nonimmune hydrops fetalis at 33 weeks of gestation in 25 year-old primigravida woman and reported with a brief review of related literatures.
