SNP Discovery from Transcriptome of Cashmere Goat Skin

The goat Capra hircus is one of several economically important livestock in China. Advances in molecular genetics have led to the identification of several single nucleotide variation markers associated with genes affecting economic traits. Validation of single nucleotide variations in a whole-transcriptome sequencing is critical for understanding the information of molecular genetics. In this paper, we aim to develop a large amount of convinced single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) for Cashmere goat through transcriptome sequencing. In this study, the transcriptomes of Cashmere goat skin at four stages were measured using RNA-sequencing and 90% to 92% unique-mapped-reads were obtained from total-mapped-reads. A total of 56,231 putative SNPs distributed among 10,057 genes were identified. The average minor allele frequency of total SNPs was 18%. GO and KEGG pathway analysis were conducted to analyze the genes containing SNPs. Our follow up biological validation revealed that 64% of SNPs were true SNPs. Our results show that RNA-sequencing is a fast and efficient method for identification of a large number of SNPs. This work provides significant genetic resources for further research on Cashmere goats, especially for the high density linkage map construction and genome-wide association studies.
ON SOME COMPUTATIONAL ALGORITHMS FOR n-FOLD IDEALS IN BCK-ALGEBRAS

This paper is devoted to the foldness theory of implicative ideals in BCK-algebras. We use the fuzzy point concept to give some characterizations of fuzzy n-fold implicative ideals and establish some relationships with various n-fold ideals. We also construct some algorithms for studying the foldness of implicative ideals in BCK-algebras.

The research on water-based and enhanced modification of phenolic resin for impregnation of automobileengine oil filter paper has attracted widespread attention. First, the organosilicon was modified, the polyoxyethyleneether (PEO) and allyl glycidyl ether (AGE) were introduced through the hydrosilylation reaction, and the optimalmodification conditions of PEO and AGE were discussed. The results show that when the PEO:AGE molar ratio is3 : 1, the modified silicone prepared has good dispersibility in water. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) energy dispersiveimaging (EDS) was used to analyze the morphology of resin impregnated filter paper. The results show thatwhen the mass ratio of modified silicone to phenolic resin is 5%, the silicone molecular chains and the phenolic resinform a uniform three-dimensional network structure by bonding through chemical bonds. Compared with unmodifiedpure phenolic resin impregnated filter paper, the mechanical properties and engine oil resistance properties of thesilicone-modified phenolic resin-impregnated filter paper are improved.
Effect of anti-skin disorders of ginsenosides- A Systematic Review

Ginsenosides are bioactive components of Panax ginseng with many functions such as anti-aging, antioxidation,anti-inflammatory, anti-fatigue, and anti-tumor. Ginsenosides are categorized into dammarane,oleanene, and ocotillol type tricyclic triterpenoids based on the aglycon structure. Based on thesugar moiety linked to C-3, C-20, and C-6, C-20, dammarane type was divided into protopanaxadiol (PPD)and protopanaxatriol (PPT). The effects of ginsenosides on skin disorders are noteworthy. They play antiagingroles by enhancing immune function, resisting melanin formation, inhibiting oxidation, andelevating the concentration of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Thus, ginsenosides have previously beenwidely used to resist skin diseases and aging. This review details the role of ginsenosides in the anti-skinaging process from mechanisms and experimental research.
Hybrid Phased-MIMO SAR : Mode Design and Performance Analysis

In this paper, we introduce an innovative scanning synthetic aperture radar (SAR) termed as the Hybrid Phased-MIMO SAR (HPMSAR) and investigate the system performance. The HPMSAR overcomes the limitations imposed by the conventional scanning SAR (ScanSAR, spotlight SAR, or Terrain Observation by Progressive Scans (TOPS) SAR) and presents the strong flexibility in imaging mode. Every subarray in HPMSAR is simultaneously pointed in the different directions and electronically steers the azimuth beam. This not only increases the illumination time per subswath entailing a high azimuth resolution but also covers an ultra-wide swath giving short-term time for global coverage. However, multidirectional scanning imaging will produce overlapped echoes and ambiguities on receive, then this paper presents the advanced processing scheme based on two-dimension (2-D) digital beamforming (DBF) with multichannel unambiguous reconstruction technology. The key of this method lies that multichannel processing technology in azimuth ensures receiving echoes free of aliasing by using a low PRF, and 2-D DBF could effectively suppress ambiguities and separate the overlapped echoes from different subswaths. Performance analysis compared with traditional methods shows output performance of interference suppression.

Affinity propagation algorithm is a new powerful and effective clustering method. One of the major problems in clustering is the determination of the optimal number of clusters. In this paper, the particle swarm optimization algorithm is utilized to cope with this problem by using the parameter p as each particle and Silhouette index as the fitness, which can search for the optimal value of p and determine the optimal number of clusters automatically. Moreover, the problem of information overlap is the main drawback of affinity propagation algorithm in dealing with complex structure or high dimensional data for clustering. Hence the enhanced Locality preserving projections method is proposed to integrate with affinity propagation algorithm to reduce the dimension of the data as a processing step. As the result of experiment shows, the proposed method can simultaneously obtain the optimal number of clusters accurately and improve the clustering accuracy by eliminating the redundant information of the data without losing the internal nonlinear structure.

Previous literature has recognised the importance of port efficiency to port performance, and two popular methodologies of DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) and SFA (Stochastic Frontier Analysis) have been widely applied to efficiency evaluation. However, there seems a limitation of lacking objectivity when selecting the variables of inputs and outputs. Meanwhile, as the largest port in Korea, although many related efficiency studies already exist, most of them are founded on a whole port level basis while not on the container terminal level. Therefore, to fill the gap, this paper introduces a PCA (Principal Component Analysis)-DEA approach to research the operational efficiency of nine container terminals of Busan Port with the latest data of 2021. Container throughput is set as the output, and 13 variables from three scopes of land, facilities and labour are identified as inputs, followed by PCA which eventually detects three indictors of “No. transfer crane (RMGC) in yard”, “Staff average salary” and “Container freight station (CFS) space” as the core inputs representing the above three dimensions. Then, the DEA(CCR) and DEA(BCC) models are used to gain the assessment results: “PNIT”, “PNC” and “HJNC” are DEA efficiency, while others of “HPNT”, “BNCT”, “Jaseongdae”, “Shinseondae”, and “Gamman” and “Shin Gamman” are non-DEA efficiency. In addition, to achieve the target efficiency for the non-effective terminals, this paper confirms improvements through Return to Scale (ROS) and input redundancy discussion. The PCA-DEA port (terminal) evaluation approach is practical and unbiased, and it may have some special practical value for the port industry.
