<P>This paper addresses a movement-aware vertical (MAV) handover algorithm between WLAN and Mobile WiMAX for seamless ubiquitous access. An MAV handover algorithm is proposed in this paper to exploit movement pattern for avoiding unnecessary handovers in the integrated WLAN and Mobile WiMAX networks. If a mobile station (MS)'s velocity is high and its movement pattern is irregular, unnecessary handovers likely occur more frequently. Therefore, the MS velocity and moving pattern are important factors for the handover decision procedure. To avoid unnecessary handovers, the MAV handover algorithm adjusts the dwell time adaptively and predicts the residual time in the cell of target base station (BS). Consequently, the adaptive dwell timer of MAV handover algorithm allows an MS a better connection as long as possible. Our simulation results show that the reduction of unnecessary handovers by leads to significant throughput improvements.</P>

<P>We report mu SR experiments on the ternary compounds Sm1-xLaxNiC2 (x = 0.85, 0.92, and 0.96), crossing from a ferromagnetic to a superconducting phase. Zero-field mu SR measurements of the ferromagnetic sample (x = 0.85) unveil a glassylike character of the ferromagnetically ordered state. At the putative quantum critical compound (x = 0.92), fluctuations of the Sm moments slow down below 2 K and remain dynamic down to 30 mK, showing persisting spin dynamics. Moreover, we find a time-field scaling (t/H-gamma) of the mu SR asymmetry function, evidencing quantum critical fluctuations. As to the superconducting material (x = 0.96), the muon spin-relaxation rate displays a gimel-like peak at T = 250 mK, indicating the coexistence of weak magnetism and filamentary superconductivity. Our results demonstrate that Sm1-xLaxNiC2 constitutes a model system for studying a ferromagnetic quantum critical point tuned by chemical pressure.</P>

Homogeneous charge compression ignition(HCCI) is the best concept able to provide low NOx and PM in diesel engine emissions. This new alternative combustion process is mainly controlled by chemical kinetics in comparison with the conventional combustion in internal combustion engine. However HCCI engine’s operation have an excessive rate of pressure rise during combustion. So the purpose of this study solve this problem with EGR gas’s concentration stratification and thermal stratification for reducing the pressure rise in HCCI engine combustion. And we study characteristics of combustion and emissions gas. The reaction mechanism using a this research is diesel surrogate which is composed of heptane/toluene blend fuel.

In this paper, combustion characteristics of HCCI engine with suggested diesel surrogate(heptane/toluene mixture fuel) reaction mechanism were numerically investigated by heptane/toluene mixture ratio and EGR ratio. As results, the ignition timing became faster with increasing of heptane, and an initial oxidation and the ignition timing of the mixture fuel were affected by heptane and toluene, respectively.

And we was investigated combustion characteristics of the new diesel surrogate(heptane/toluene mixture fuel). Especially we study deep into a ignition timing and emission gas according to heptane/toluene mixture ratio and EGR.

물류창고는 수시로 많은 물류가 입고/출고됨에 따라 수시로 재고 현황이 변화하고 이를 빠르고 정확하게 관리하는 것은 물류 관리에 있어서 매우 중요하다. 이를 위해 RFID 기반의 센서 네트워크를 구축하여 기존의 수작업으로 하던 작업을 빠르게 수행할 수 있도록 한다. 센서 네트워크를 구축하기 위해 에너지 기반으로 클러스터링을 하고 이를 기반으로 계층적 라우팅을 통해 데이타 전송을 가능하게 하였다. 또한 클러스터간 이동성을 지원하여 각 노드가 이동하여도 연결성이 보장되도록 하였다. 이렇게 구축된 네트워크는 실제 RFID 리더와 함께 연동되어 물류창고에서 사용되었다. Warehouse has many changes for the stocks by entering and taking. Management about the stocks is important. To manage, sensor network based on RFID is deployed in warehouse. Sensor network uses cluster based on energy and hierarchical routing. Supporting mobility between clusters makes guarantee connectivity for mobile nodes.

Background: Lung cancer is associated with significant psychological distress, including fear of progression (FoP). Because insomnia and depression are highly prevalent and associated with FoP, we examined the association between FoP, insomnia, and depression in cancer patients. Furthermore, we tested the mediation effect of cancer-related dysfunctional beliefs about sleep (C-DBS) on this association. Methods: We analyzed data collected from patients with surgically resected non-small cell lung cancer from a single-center randomized controlled study investigating digital healthcare applications. Baseline demographic and clinical variables were collected. In addition, selfreported questionnaires including the Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form, Patients Health Questionnaire-9 items (PHQ-9), Insomnia Severity Index, and C-DBS were administered. Results: Among the 320 enrolled patients with lung cancer, a regression model showed that FoP was predicted by age (β = −0.13, P = 0.007), PHQ-9 (β = 0.35, P < 0.001), and C-DBS (β = 0.28, P < 0.001). Insomnia did not directly influence FoP, but C-DBS mediated the association. Depression directly influenced FoP, but C-DBS did not mediate this association. Conclusion: Among patients with surgically resected lung cancer, C-DBS mediated the effects of severity of insomnia on FoP. Depression directly influenced FoP, but C-DBS did not influence this association. To reduce FoP among patients with lung cancer, C-DBS should be addressed in the cognitive behavioral therapy module.
