        저자등은 인슐린의존형 당뇨병환자에서 임신중에 병발한 당뇨병성 케톤산증을 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. IDDM is an autoimmune disease resulted from beta cell destruction and insulin deficiency, and developed mostly in children and puberty. Ketoaddosis remains one of the most senous complications that can occur in the pregnant diabetic. A 26-year-old woman, gravida 1, para 0, was admitted at 32 weeks gestation because of fever lasted for 6 days. She had been treated with insulin pump during the pregnancy. Blood sugar was well controlled before admission, and the etiology of her ketoacidosis was urinary tract infection and no insulin-intake. DKA was treated with fluids and intravenous insulin. Urinary tract infection was treated with antibiotics, based on culture test. Healthy newbom was later delivered by cesarean section due to fetal distress. We experienced a case of DKA in pregnant woman and report it with a review on literature.

      • 쌀겨 분진의 연소 및 폭발 위험성에 관한 연구

        We had investigated combustion properties of rice bran dusts. Decomposition of rice bran dusts with temperature were investigated using DSC and the weight loss according to temperature using TGA in order to find the thermal hazard of rice bran dusts, and the properties of dust explosion in variation of their dust with the same particle size. Using Hartman's dust explosion apparatus which estimate dust explosion by electric ignition after making dust disperse by compressed air, dust explosion experiments have been conducted by varying concentration and size of rice bran dust. According to the results for thermodynamic stability of rice bran dust, there are little change of initiation temperature of heat generation and heating value for used particle size. But initiation temperature of heat generation decreased with high heating rate whereas decomposition heat increased with particle size. Average maximum explosion pressure was 10kgf/㎠ for 60/70 mesh and 1.5mg/㎤ dust concentration.

        한우 Band 3 및 CHS 유전병의 분자유전학적 기초연구

        Many bovine genetic diseases are currently unidentified in Korea because of the relatively low monitoring systems in the livestock farms. The molecular detection system using PCR-RFLP of two genetic diseases, namely Band 3 (Erythrocyte Membrane Protein Band Ⅲ) and CHS (Chediak-Higashi Syndrome), have been identified in Japan and used for screening large number of cattle whether each individual has the genetic disease or not. Using the 22 unrelated Korean cattle (Hanwoo) individuals, molecular detection system based on PCR-RFLP have been investigated, which can be distinguishable carriers for the genetic diseases. Even though we could not found the causative mutations for two genetic diseases, the PCR-RFLP techniques used in this study are very valuable for the screening the genetics diseases in Korean cattle, especially for the proven or candidate bulls.

        The phase transition phenomena and the phase separation phenomena of surfactants(SPES) are analyzed using QCA with resonant frequency and resonant resistance. The phase transition phenomena of SPES at 30℃ can be determined by measuring the resonant frequency and resonant resistance by lecithin coated on quartz crystal. The surfactants capacity of SPES can be analyzed by measuring the resonant frequency and resonant resistance of surfactants using QCA.

        상악 전치부 후방 견인 시 이동 양상과 응력 분포에 관한 삼차원 유한요소법적 연구

        상악 전치부 후방 견인 시의 이동 양상 및 응력 분포를 건조 두개골을 전산화 단층 촬영에 의해 3차원 영상화한 유한 요소 모델 상에서 알아보고자 하였다. 피질골 절단술의 시행 여부와 고정원, 힘의 작용점을 각기 달리 설정하여 8개의 실험군을 구성하여 비교하였다. 통상적인 T-loop을 이용하여 공간폐쇄를 하는 경우 전치부는 후하방으로 경사이동 하였으며, 구치부에서도 약간 전방 이동하였다. 피질골 절단술을 동반하여 전치부를 견인한 경우, 전치부 골편에서의 응력 분포가 전반적으로 넓게 분포되었으며, 전치부 경사의 정도가 적은 반면에 변위량은 훨씬 더 많았다. 협측에서의 견인 시 상악 협측에 식립된 미니 임플랜트와 견치 power arm간에 견인력을 가한 경우가 미니 임플랜트로 고정원이 강화된 제2소구치와 견치 브라켓 간에 견인력을 가한 경우보다 전치부의 후하방 경사 정도가 적었다. 구개측에서 power arm에 대한 견인 시 정중구개봉합 부위에 식립한 미니 임플랜트로부터 견인력을 가한 경우가 상악 제1, 2대구치 간 구개면에 식립된 미니 임플랜트로부터 견인력을 가한 경우보다 전치부의 후하방 경사 정도가 컸다. 이러한 결과로써 치아이동 시 피질골 절단술의 효과와 저항중심에 대한 교정력 벡터 조정의 의미를 확인할 수 있었다. Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the displacement pattern and the stress distribution shown on a finite element model 3-D visualization of a dry human skull using CT during the retraction of upper anterior teeth. Methods: Experimental groups were differentiated into 8 groups according to corticotomy, anchorage (buccal: mini implant between the maxillary second premolar and first molar and second premolar reinforced with a mini implant, palatal: mini implant between the maxillary first molar and second molar and mini implant on the midpalatal suture) and force application point (use of a power arm or not). Results: In cases where anterior teeth were retracted by a conventional T-loop arch wire, the anterior teeth tipped more postero-inferiorly and the posterior teeth moved slightly in a mesial direction. In cases where anterior teeth were retracted with corticotomy, the stress at the anterior bone segment was distributed widely and showed a smaller degree of tipping movement of the anterior teeth, but with a greater amount of displacement. In cases where anterior teeth were retracted from the buccal side with force applied to the mini implant placed between the maxillary second premolar and the first molar to the canine power arm, it showed that a smaller degree of tipping movement was generated than when force was applied to the second premolar reinforced with a mini implant from the canine bracket. In cases where anterior teeth were retracted from the palatal side with force applied to the mini implant on the midpalatal suture, it resulted in a greater degree of tipping movement than when force was applied to the mini implant between the maxillary first and second molars. Conclusion: The results of this study verifies the effects of corticotomies and the effects of controlling orthodontic force vectors during tooth movement.

        Development of Worm-like Polymeric Drug Carriers with Multiple Ligands for Targeting Heterogeneous Breast Cancer Cells

        In this study, wormorm-like polymeric micelles were construted from poly(L-lactic acid)-b-poly(ethyelen glycol) (PLLA-b-PEG) block copolymers via worm-like (or cylindrical) self- assembly that consisted of a relatively long PLLA block ($M_n$ 7K Daltons) at the core and a relatively short PEG block ($M_n$ 2K Daltons) as the shell. Several cancer-targeting moieties (such as folate, cobalamin, and cyclic arginine-glycine-aspartic (RGD) peptide) were chemically coupled with the succinylated or maleimided PEG block of PLLA-b-PEG to act as a cancer cell-specific targeting ligand for breast cancer. The worm-like micelles with muplite cancer cell-specific ligands proved to be successful in recognizing different breast cancer cells at once. This has the potential to aid in cancer-specific drug delivery and to be used as an effective treatment for breast cancer.

        강상자형교의 설계온도하중을 위한 최고 유효온도 산정

        합리적인 설계 온도하중을 산정하기 위하여, 강상자형교의 시험체가 실물 규모로 제작되었다. 박스단면의 크기는 폭 2.0m, 높이 2.0m, 길이 3.0m이며, 슬래브의 두께는 17 cm이다. 온도 게이지를 사용하여 1년간 온도를 측정하였다. 또한 인근에 시험체와 유사한 방향으로 설치된 같은 형식의 실교량에서도 같은 기간에 온도를 측정하였다. 교량시험체는 21지점, 실교량에서는 19지점에서 온도를 측정하고 각 측점에서 측정온도를 통계 처리하여 추세선과 표준 오차를 산정하고, Euro code에서 제시한 대기온도 24℃∼38℃에서 각 지점의 유효온도를 산정하였다. 교량시험체 모형에서는 35℃이상에서 Euro code와 실교량과 비교하여 유효온도가 2∼3℃ 정도 높게 산정되었다. 제시된 시험체와 실교량에서 Euro code에 대한 유효온 도의 상관계수는 87.4%, 93.2%로 계산되었다. 국내 도로교설계기준에 따르면 합성교에서 최고기온은 40℃로 규정하고 있는 데 이는 본 연구에서 산정된 실교량과 Euro code의 유효온도와 거의 근접하는 것으로 평가된다. 각 지역별 최고 온도에 대한 Contour map에서 산정한 대기온도별 최고온도와 본 연구에서 제시한 유효온도를 접목하면 국내 교량 설계 시 각 지역 의 특성을 고려한 설계기준이 확립될 수 있을 것이다. In order to obtain a reasonable value for the thermal load to use in designs, a bridge specimen of a full-size steel box girder (bridge) was manufactured. The temperature data were measured at 21 points in the bridge specimen and 19 points in the steel box bridge. The steel box bridge specimen was installed in a similar direction to a nearby real one. The maximum effective temperatures in the bridge specimen and bridge were calculated for air temperatures in the range of 24℃∼38℃. The maximum effective temperature of the bridge specimen and bridge showed correlations of approximately 93.2% and 87.4%, respectively, compared with the Euro code. The maximum effective temperature calculated in this study was very close to the Euro code and the maximum temperature of the Highway Bridge Design Criteria. When the effective temperature obtained in the study is combined with the highest temperature calculated from the Contour map for each region, the design criteria for the thermal load in domestic bridge design, taking into consideration the characteristics of each region, can be established.
