A Study on Development of a Smart Wellness Robot Platform

본 논문에서는 노령화 사회에서 노인들의 기본 건강과 생활을 케어 할 수 있는 홈 웰니스 로봇 플랫폼을 개발한다. 실내 환경에서 웰니스 서비스에 초점을 맞추어 로봇 및 센서 플랫폼을 구현한다. 로봇플랫폼에서는 정밀제어 이동기능과 정교한 로봇 팔 및 핸드를 개발하고 인간친화형 로봇구조로 설계되어진다. 이동로봇은 옴니휠 기반의 쾌속 시스템으로 제어 된다. 로봇팔은 섬세한 조작기능을 수행할 수 있도록 인간의 팔과 유사한 구조로 구현한다. 센서 플랫폼에서는 RF태그와 스테레오 카메라를 활용하여 로봇자신과 대상물체의 위치 인식시스템을 구축한다. 정확한 위치와 자세 인식을 위하여 센서 융합 알고리즘이 제안된다. 끝으로 웰니스 로봇 플랫폼의 좋은 성능들이 실시간 시험 구동을 통하여 확인되어 진다. This paper developed a home wellness robot platform to perform the roles in basic health care and life care in an aging society. A robotic platform and a sensory platform were implemented for an indoor wellness service. In the robotic platform, the precise mobility and the dexterous manipulation are not only developed in a symbiotic service-robot, but they also ensure the robot architecture of human friendliness. The mobile robot was made in the agile system, which consists of Omni-wheels. The manipulator was made in the anthropomorphic system to carry out dexterous handwork. In the sensing platform, RF tags and stereo camera were used for self and target localization. They were processed independently and cooperatively for accurate position and posture. The wellness robot platform was integrated in a real-time system. Finally, its good performance was confirmed through live indoor tests for health and life care.
Jacketing of CICC for KSTAR Superconducting Magnet System

The KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) superconducting magnet system consists of 16 TF (Toroidal Field) and 14 PF (Poloidal Field) coils. Internally-cooled cabled superconductors will be used for the magnet system. The magnet system adopts a superconducting CICC (Cable-In-Conduit Conductor) type conductor. It uses two different types of CICCs, Nb3Sn cable with Incoloy alloy 908 (afterward, Incoloy 908) conduit and NbTi cable with 316LN stainlesssteel conduit. A continuous CICC jacketing system is developed for the CICC jacketing and it uses the tube-mill process which consists of forming, welding, sizing and squaring procedures. The cabling process for TF and PF superconducting cable and the fabrication process of each CICC (TF CICC and PF CICC) are described. The welding of conduit materials is also discussed. The fabrication results including the geometrical specification will be discussed.
Current Status of the KSTAR TF Superconducting Magnet Development

The KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) TF magnet system is a fully superconducting magnet system which consists of 16 TF coils. The TF coil system provides a field of 3.5 T at a plasma center, with a peak flux density at the TF coils of 7.5 T. The stored energy is 470 MJ. TF coils use a Nb3Sn superconducting strand with Incoloy alloy 908 (afterward, Incoloy 908) conduit. The Nb3Sn strand has KSTAR HP-III specifications in which the critical current density is greater than 750 A/mm2 at 12 T, 4.2 K. The nominal current of the TF coils is 35.2 kA with all coils in series. For the fabrication of CICC (Cable-In-Conduit Conductor), a continuous CICC jacketing system is developed, and the procedures of coil fabrication are established to develop the TF coil. The prototype TF coil and the TF 01 16 coils are fabricated for the KSTAR superconducting magnet system. The TF17 coil which will be used as a back up coil is under fabrication. The overall TF coil fabrication will be completed by the end of December 2005.=
Identification of Kakugo Virus in Honeybees from Korea

Kakugo virus (KV) is a picorna-like virus that was originally identified in the brains of aggressive but apparently healthy worker honeybees (Apis mellifera L.). This is the first report of KV infection in Korea. Infection with KV was identified in Korean honeybees by PCR. The sequence of the PCR product was determined and analyzed by T-vector cloning. Homology between the determined and reported KV sequences were calculated, and the results showed a 96.6% similarity for the nucleotide sequence and 99.3% amino acid sequence homology. The PCR method was able to easily detect KV in honeybees. Here, we report the specific KV primer pairs for the detection and verification of KV infection.

웹은 사용자에게 제품이나 정보를 제공할 수 있는 가장 커다란 매체로 성장하였으며, 또한 사용자에게는 필요 이상의 정보를 얻게 해주고 있다. 웹은 다량의 관련 정보들을 여러 웹 페이지들을 통해 표현하고 있으며, 현재 검색엔진들은 키워드들에 관련된 단일 페이지들만을 리스트화하여 보여주고 있다. 근본적으로 이러한 방법들로는 관련된 정보를 가지고 있는 페이지들의 쌍 및 연관된 웹 페이지들의 집합을 구조화하여 제공할 수 없다. 웹은 하나의 웹 페이지에 모든 관련 정보를 담는 범위를 넘어 관련된 정보 페이지들을 하이퍼링크로 서로 연결한 일련의 정보로 인식되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 새로운 링크 가중치 기반 검색 기법으로서 e-아크 메저에 관하여 제안하고자 하며, 이는 사용자가 입력한 키워드들과 관련된 페이지의 집합을 웹 사이트 안에서 찾아내는 연관 검색에 효과적이라는 것을 보이고, 실험을 통해 기존의 메저들 보다 그 효과성을 우월하다는 점을 입증하였다. The World Wide Web has emerged as largest media which provides even a single user to market their products and publish desired information; on the other hand the user can access what kind of information abundantly enough as well. As a result web holds large amount of related information distributed over multiple web pages. The current search engines search for all the entered keywords in a single webpage and rank the resulting set of web pages as an answer to the user query. But this approach fails to retrieve the pair of web pages which contains more relevant information for users search. We introduce a new search paradigm which gives different weights to the query keywords according to their order of appearance. We propose a new arc weight measure that assigns more relevance to the pair of web pages with alternate keywords present so that the pair of web pages which contains related but distributed information can be presented to the user. Our measure proved to be effective on the similarity search in which the experimentation represented the e-arc ranking measure outperforming the conventional ones.
Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification(LAMP) 법을 이용한 Kakugo Virus의 새로운 검출법 개발

Kakugo Virus (KV) is a picorna-like virus that was originally identified in the brains of aggressive but apparently healthy worker honeybees (Apis mellifera L.). A loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay allows one-step detection of gene amplification without expensive equipment such as thermocycler. In this study, new LAMP method for the specific detection of KV in honeybee was developed (KV-LAMP(s)). This method have an advantage that 20 minutes faster than previously KVLAMP. A set of four designed primers named KV-F3(2) / B3(2) / FIP(2) / BIP(2) that recognize KV sepcific sequence. After optimization of conditions, KV-LAMP(s) specific amplification was successfully performed using KV-LAMP(s) from standard DNA sequence. KV-specific template was amplified under isothermal conditions at 56°C within 40 minutes by KV-LAMP(s). The method could be detected KV from DNA clone at 1×102copies/μl. Especially, this method was developed direct detection by using SYBR GreenⅠ and Gene-FinderTM? Nucleic acid fluorescent dye. In conclusion, KV-LAMP(s) may be a useful method for the detection Kakugo Virus from the field.
