Non-linear vibrationof disc brake system, such as judder, squeal, and so on, generated from a disc brake system results in its resonance and the irregular wear of both brake disc and pad. Although the standard methods to verify the non-linear vibration of brake system including a judder are developed, it is complicate to estimate or interpretate the transient vibration generated in low and high frequency level. The accurate brake system modeling and simulation of various input conditions in the time domain should be conducted for analyzing the non-linear transient vibration. In this paper, the accurate model of brake system is used in ADAMS, and its simulation is performed for the various inputs, the parameter study of design factors, as well as each brake components modeling method. Consequently, the accurate brake system model has been developed to evaluate the dynamic performance and vibration of disc brake system.
