        열처리 상태가 10Cr-1Mo-VNbN 주강의 기계적 성질 및 용접성에 미치는 영향

        Mechanical properties and weldability such as HAZ hardness, cold cracking susceptibility and hot ductility of two differently heat treated 10Cr-1Mo-VNbN cast steels were measured and compared. Because of high hardenability of the cast steel, as-annealed cast steel showed martensitic microstructure and thus had higher hardness than annealed-normalized-tempered cast steel which had tempered martensite. Because the welding electrode used resulted in a high hardness weld metal, both cast steels showed same weld metal cold cracking susceptibility even though the as-annealed cast steel had higher HAZ hardness than the annealed-normalizedtempered cast steel. Both cast steels had excellent hot ductility in high temperature range, indicating no risk of grain boundary liquation cracking in the HAZ. However, the as-annealed cast steel showed an inferior ductility in the intermediate temperature range of 1000~1150℃ because of larger unrecrystallized grain size.

        開化期 小說에 나타난 文化意識

        The enlightenment time in Korea was an upheaval age. This paper attempted to investigated the cultural conception in that time, through the novel of the enlightenment time, Sinsoseol(新小說). The cultural conception is human's consciousness movement, which pursued an enlargement and improvement through the course of life. In that time, the cultural conception devided two ways. One is the defeatism which is envious of an foreign idea unconditionally and disregard a native culture. The other is the autonomy idea which is caused by introspection and self examination. The defeatism adhered to foreign culture unconditionally, and which was not enlightenment for independence but assimilatin on foreign. This thought eventually denied native culture, and pursued escaptism, for which is lack of overcoming the difficulty. In conclusin, defeatism keep step with a Japan's policy which rule over the Korean. It is root the privain that overcome the situaion of those days, and that has not pride of native culture. On the contrary, autonomy idea show the volition which overcome the situain of those days, through the active movement. This is root the pride and support of native cultural. The act that translatin of foreign's historical novel and writting the historical biographical novel those protagonist is our racial hero, lead that movement. This movement emphasized a positive resistance for invader.

        나라꽃 무궁화의 어문학적 고찰

        "Mugunghwa", or Hibiscus syriacus is regared as the natinal flower of korea. Every nation generally has the national flower. It represents characteristics of the nation and the race. Therefore it is their symbol. The relatin of "Mugunghwa" and our race has been a longtime in history. It goes was back to about two thousand years ago in literature. Particulaly, in the Japanese imperialism period when our race was suffered, "Mugunghwa" is a unfogettabl, precious, and proud flower to our race. But nowadays, our interest on this flower is very faint. The reason is not only the intentional fabrication of the idea by Japanese imperialism but also the deficiency of our understanding and affection on it. In this study, firstly, the relation of "Mugunghwa" and our race was examined through the research on the old literature. And in the third chapter, names of "Mugunghwa" were linguitically examined through the research on the old literature and dialetcts. As the result, we know that the word "Mugunghwa" is derived from korean language. The fact that our literary works is silent on "Mugunghwa" has been the obstacle of the study on "Mugunghwa". In the fourth chapter, I divide songs and literary works on "Mugunghwa" into thirteen articles, and explanin them. Thus I know our racial affection on "Mugunghwa" in about seventy works of the Korean verse or shijo, 時調, the Chinese poem and Poetry and novels in Korean civilzed period. Finally, in the fifth chapte, I synthesized and examined pro-blems concerning "Mugunghwa". This is to discuss the adequacy of argument on chage of the national flower and the reasonableness of "Mugunghwa" as the national flower that has been frequently sugge-sted. The aim of this study is synthetically to examine problems on "Mugunghwa". Through this study, we will know the feature of "Mugunghwa" as the national flower and the concrete method of affection for it. This knowledge is connected wth our patiotism and love for our race.

        Chemical Imaging Analysis of the Micropatterns of Proteins and Cells Using Cluster Ion Beam-based Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry and Principal Component Analysis

        Micropatterns of streptavidin and human epidermal carcinoma A431 cells were successfully imaged, as received and without any labeling, using cluster $Au_3{^+}$ ion beam-based time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) together with a principal component analysis (PCA). Three different analysis ion beams ($Ga^+$, $Au^+$ and $Au_3{^+}$) were compared to obtain label-free TOF-SIMS chemical images of micropatterns of streptavidin, which were subsequently used for generating cell patterns. The image of the total positive ions obtained by the $Au_3{^+}$ primary ion beam corresponded to the actual image of micropatterns of streptavidin, whereas the total positive-ion images by $Ga^+$ or $Au^+$ primary ion beams did not. A PCA of the TOF-SIMS spectra was initially performed to identify characteristic secondary ions of streptavidin. Chemical images of each characteristic ion were reconstructed from the raw data and used in the second PCA run, which resulted in a contrasted - and corrected - image of the micropatterns of streptavidin by the $Ga^+$ and $Au^+$ ion beams. The findings herein suggest that using cluster-ion analysis beams and multivariate data analysis for TOF-SIMS chemical imaging would be an effectual method for producing label-free chemical images of micropatterns of biomolecules, including proteins and cells.

      • Titania produced from Ti-salt flocculated sludge: photocatalytic activity under solar light.

        <P>In this study, titania photocatalyst was produced from the wastewater sludge of Ti-salt flocculation. The high photocatalytic activity of titania reported was evaluated based on a single organic substrate. However, the photocatalytic activity is a substrate-specific; one photocatalyst showed different photocatalytic degradation rates for different substrates. Thus, to investigate the substrate-specific photocatalytic activity of titania, various substrates of humic acid (HA), dichloroacetic acid (DCA), rhodamine B (RhB), metsulfuron methyl (M&M) and phenol were used under simulated solar light irradiation. Results showed titania had a high activity rate for RhB, moderate activity for HA and DCA and low activity for M&M and phenol indicating substrate-specific activities. When compared with Degussa-P25, titania showed higher activity for M&M, while the opposite was observed for HA and phenol. The specific-substrate behaviour of titania could depend on specific physicochemical and electronic interactions between titania, substrates, and their intermediates compounds formed.</P>

      • Improved mass resolution and mass accuracy in TOF-SIMS spectra and images using argon gas cluster ion beams

        <P>The popularity of argon gas cluster ion beams (Ar-GCIB) as primary ion beams in time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) has increased because the molecular ions of large organic-and biomolecules can be detected with less damage to the sample surfaces. However, Ar-GCIB is limited by poor mass resolution as well as poor mass accuracy. The inferior quality of the mass resolution in a TOF-SIMS spectrum obtained by using Ar-GCIB compared to the one obtained by a bismuth liquid metal cluster ion beam and others makes it difficult to identify unknown peaks because of the mass interference from the neighboring peaks. However, in this study, the authors demonstrate improved mass resolution in TOF-SIMS using Ar-GCIB through the delayed extraction of secondary ions, a method typically used in TOF mass spectrometry to increase mass resolution. As for poor mass accuracy, although mass calibration using internal peaks with low mass such as hydrogen and carbon is a common approach in TOF-SIMS, it is unsuited to the present study because of the disappearance of the low-mass peaks in the delayed extraction mode. To resolve this issue, external mass calibration, another regularly used method in TOF-MS, was adapted to enhance mass accuracy in the spectrum and image generated by TOF-SIMS using Ar-GCIB in the delayed extraction mode. By producing spectra analyses of a peptide mixture and bovine serum albumin protein digested with trypsin, along with image analyses of rat brain samples, the authors demonstrate for the first time the enhancement of mass resolution and mass accuracy for the purpose of analyzing large biomolecules in TOF-SIMS using Ar-GCIB through the use of delayed extraction and external mass calibration.         ToF‐SIMS imaging and spectroscopic analyses of PEG‐conjugated AuNPs

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) are known safe materials to be used <I>in vivo</I>, and so, are becoming increasingly important in biomedical applications. Here, the stability of PEG‐conjugated AuNPs in an aqueous solution was monitored as a function of time using several techniques, namely dynamic light scattering (DLS)‐size analysis, UV‐visible absorption spectrometry and ToF‐SIMS. Roughly 15‐nm‐sized AuNPs were synthesized and pegylated with mPEG (MW = 5 kDa). Four different samples were synthesized, depending on whether or not a dialysis procedure was performed right after synthesis of the AuNPs or pegylation of the AuNPs. The DLS results show that size of mPEG‐conjugated AuNPs and standard deviation increased in cases where a dialysis procedure was performed after pegylation of the AuNPs, indicating aggregation of the AuNPs due to the detachment of mPEG ligands from the surface of the AuNPs. Also, results from UV‐visible absorption spectra and ToF‐SIMS images point to the likelihood that free mPEG ligands in solution help prevent aggregation by maintaining a dynamic equilibrium between the conjugated ligands on the surface of the AuNPs and the free ligands in the aqueous solution. Conversely, once free, mPEG ligands were eliminated from the solution by dialysis and conjugated mPEG ligands detached from the surface of AuNPs into the solution, suspension stability lowered and the AuNPs showed signs of aggregation. We believe that the ToF‐SIMS imaging analysis with DLS and UV‐visible absorption analyses would be useful to study the stability of PEG‐conjugated AuNPs in different environmental conditions.
