        Dr. Sung Kyo Lee. 1999. Linguistic Variation in Poetry. Collected Papers on Christian Language Culture. A good poet is said to be an expert in using words. In this respect, the relationship between poetry and language is to be researched for. In the differences between poetic diction and general language, how they are expressed on the surface is to be searched for. And this paper aims at examining the linguistic characteristics as well as the remarkable property of poetry. For the concrete examination of the characteristics between poetry and language will help those who want to be a good poet in their creating writings. Based on these arguements, this paper makes an introductory remark in chapter 1. In chapter 2, the relationship between a general language and a poetic diction is argued. And, in chapter 2 poetic expression and the language is argued. The arguments on poetic characteristics and the language in chapter 3 can be seen to clarify the problems in emotional language, poetic diction and rhythm, and also poetic diction and ambiguity.       • 大學敎育計劃과 經營의 效果的 方案 : 慶北大學校 敎養敎育을 中心으로 Problems and Suggestions

        This study examined major objectives, the scope and content of curricular, instructional and evaluational procedures for general education, and some issues related with guidance services for college freshmen. Three hundred students and one hundred and thirty-seven professors in K.N.U. were sampled and their responses to current issues on general education were analyzed by means of interviews, questionnaire, and need assessment techniques. Syllabuses, courses of studies, and college bulletins of major universities in Korea were also reviewed. The major findings and suggestions of the present study were as follows: (1) It is necessary to maintain the division of general education which plans and administers curricular activities and academic affairs for college freshmen. But it seems advisable for each college to take primary responsibility for student guidance and student affairs for the college to which the freshmen belong. The division of general education should have cooperative and functional relationships with each college. (2) The organization of staff in the division of general education consists of a dean, an associate dean, a sectional chief of academic affairs, and eight assistants to the sectional chief (one per college or academic field). (3) The major objectives of general education identified are citizenship education emphasizing acquisition of general and profound knowledge and personality development, professional education of prerequisite learning for advanced and major study, and nationality education concerned with value clarification and development of morality and sociability. (4) In order to realize effectively the above objectives, college students should be required to take more than 42 credit hours in the area of general education curricular: 20-24 credit hours for prerequisite courses (national ethics, Korean history, philosophy, Korean, English, second foreign language, physical education, and military training); 12 credit hours for major-related optional courses; 6-10 credit hours for optional courses. (5) A provisional model of teaching for general education should include a systematic arrangement of the specification of instructional objectives, diagnosis of the entry behavior and remedial teaching, active participation on the part of students in instructional procedures, and the formative and summative evaluation. (6) Size or structure of classroom and class size for general education should be flexible and adjustable to the nature and instructional obectives of each subject-matter. Educational media and references for general education should be developed and provided, and special plan for system development and educational environment should be also considered for the enhancement of general education.

      • 전침 자극에 의한 오디 괄약근 운동성 변화에 관한 연구

        Background/Aims: This study was designed to evaluated the effects of electroacupuncture on the sphincter of Oddi (SO) motility in humans and to correlate the manometric findings with plasma cholecystokinin (CCK) levels. Methods: Eleven patients (M: F= 5: 6) who had various kinds of biliary disorders were enrolled. SO motility was monitored with a conventional low-compliant continuously perfused technique using ERCP (n=9) or percutaneous transhepatic cholangioscope (n=2). After baseline monitoring for phasic wave contractions of SO, electroacupuncture was applied at a specific acupoint, GB 34, in these 11 patients. A nonspecific acupoint 5 cm away from GB 34 was selected as a control. Manometric parameters of SO were also checked in 6 subjects during stimulation of the control acupoint. CCK plasma levels were measured during the time course of electroacupuncture stimulation. Result: All the manometric parameters including the basal pressure of SO, amplitude, frequency and duration of phasic wave contraction of SO were significantly decreased (p< 0.05) during electroacupuncture stimulation. The inhibition of SO contractility was accompanied by increased CCK plasma levels. After removal of electroacupuncture stimulation, restoration of amplitude and duration to basal condition were noted. A tendency towards the return of SO contractility was also observed in basal pressure and frequency. Stimulation of the control acupoint, however, did not affect the SO contractility and plasma CCK levels. Conclusions: Electroacupuncture stimulation of acupoint GB 34 showed reversible inhibition of SO contraction in humans. We speculate that the response of SO to electroacupuncture stimulation may be mediated by some neurohormonal mechanisms including CCK release.         The purpose of this study is to determine the ageing mechanism of Mica/Epoxy composite material for large generator stator windings in order to estimate remaining life of generator. X-ray analysis is performed to investigate the position and structure of mica crystal in insulation materials. The phase change of aged and sound specimen under each atmosphere isn't observed. Surface analysis of insulation materials by optical microscope also show that the sound and aged specimen, sliding phenomenon by shear and thermal stress is observed both interface between mica and epoxy.

      • 핸드오프로 인한 TCP 재전송 타이머의 타임아웃 방지 방안

        It will be occurred unacceptably long pause and intermittent disconnection states due to handoffs under the mobile computing environment. The current TCP interprets these handoffs as network congestion and excutes the congestion avoidance algorithms which degrade TCP performance. To prevent degrading TCP troughtput due to the unnecessary timeout problem of source retransmitter timer caused by handoffs, we propose EHN(explicit handoff notification) message algorithm which resets the value of retansmission timer. By adapting EHN, the TCP source can maintain the pre-handoff' congestion window size after handoffs and prevent the abrupt decrease of congestion window size caused by timeout. Therefore, this scheme improves the TCP performance more than the current TCP implementations during handoffs. With the computer simulation, we compare our EHN scheme with the current TCP scheme and fast retransmission scheme and prove the validation of EHN.

      • 유무선 통합망에서의 SACK TCP 프로토콜 성능 개선 방안

        Reliable transport protocols such as TCP are tuned to perform well in traditional networks where packet losses occur mostly because of congestion. However, networks with wireless and other lossy links also suffer from significant non-congestion-related losses such as bit errors and handoffs. As a result, these measures result in an unnecessary reduction in throughput and the increase of interactive delays. Recently, Indirect-TCP[Bak95] and Snoop[Bal95] protocols have been proposed to alleviate the effects of non-congestion-related losses on TCP performance over networks that have wireless or similar high-loss links. These protocols for improving network throughput through splited flow contrlo are very important which protocol is used in the wireless links. Therefore, In the wireless links characterized by sproadic high bit-error rates and intermittent connectivity due to handoff, the throughput is improved by using SACK(Selective Ack) which provides the sender with sufficient information to recover quickly from multiple packet losses within a single transmission window. For more improving the network throughput, the current SACK must be corrected by considering the wireless characteristics. First, The number of Duplicated Ack'threshold reduces "1. thus, TCP source is quickly responding to packet losses. This study shows the improved performance through the simulation. Second, Congestion control algorithm of SACK adapts to the wireless characteristics. These corrections considering the wireless characteristics will improve optimally the TCP performance.

        When we observe the current downtown residences, we can see that it has been just moving forward to a plan based on a plan based on a profit, not to a space harmonizing with city circumstances or to a design toward to human beings. In this circumstance, a human is to be just a individual and nature becomes a component of the background. A space for a residence creates all elements of human life and offer a cultural process. However, in this circumstance, what human beings can be supported? Only effective design by technical advance doesn't make life comfortable. A human exists in nature and when he makes his way living together with nature, he can realize the true meaning and a human and nature both can grow. Hereupon, under the condition that all city places become a subject of economic profit, intend to look into a way how we can support a pedestrian passage which is one of our life spaces as a basic element to improve residence quality and to contribute to the development of a city. In this study, considering a spatial speciality of a pedestrian passage's design in a city residence, I will study diverse methods to change an act patten by residents' motive to form a balanced image of city environment and to satisfy behaviors of both a human and a society. The future city residence areas should be developed minding continuous development for future by making up environmental friendship, humanity, harmony of technology and nature. The Kangnam province in Seoul was analyzed only as a technology without concerning about environment. And the traffic policy made the circumferences not harmonized but just existed. The owner of a city is a human and nature, not materials. A city should be a place for a human and nature to live together. As an approach of a pedestrian space through an urban problem analysis. First, from a viewpoint of urban pedestrian and human environment, our society has a lot of traffic problems caused by vehicles' excess increase. The residence in the heart of a city has poor surroundings and especially the situation of pedestrian space is quite poor because of a traffic policies prior to vehicles. Pedestrian passages compose beginning and end of all traffics and its efficiency influences the whole traffic systems. Walking is not just a moving act, but rapport with environment. Therefore, pedestrian environment affects public facilities' access and usage and service area's institution. And it should be made for residents to use public transportation comfortably and safely. Second, as an approach of a human and natural environment, good behaviors and environment structure have a close relation. If urban designs are made for a human and natural environment, a environment, a human, nature, technology will be able to develop together. Environment matters are a continuous issue and designers should consider environment and humans in their works. Third, from the viewpoint that the emotional circumstance is produced through the art, it is cognition to a scene surrounding us. The value of art can't be separate from our life, but it should deeply sink into it. As circumstances are made by it, people using that place can create more amusement and the space representation which can enjoy the scene may make their life more affluent.
