The winter respiration in a mongolian oak stand was simulated with the computer program. The amount of CO₂ evolved by the winter respiration of the stand was estimated 43.52 ton CO₂ ha^(-1) and the amount of CO₂ evolved by the Q_(10) method was estimated 54.75 ton CO₂ ha^(-1) which was 25.8% more than the result by this method.

Carbon dioxide balance of an individual mongolian oak was modelled based on the equations from the meteorological data and the relationship between organs and the gas exchange rates. Gross productivity, total respiration, and net productivity of an individual mongolian oak were estimated 13.2, 6.1, and 7.1kg CO₂/month, respectively.

Solar ultraviolet-A (UV-A) irradiances indicent on a horizontal surface at Taegu of Korea during 1995-1998 were calculated with 5 min averages of measurements taken every 30 seconds by a broadband UV- A sensor. The maximum and minimum of monthly averages of daily UV-A dose were 499.37 KJ m-2 day-1 inJuly and 171.09 KJ m--2 day-1 in December for 4 years of the observation period. The maxima of daily UV-A dose and instandaneous UV-A were observed as 846.46KJ m-2 day-1 June 7, 1998 and 37.22 W m-2 at 12 : 15, July 16, 1998, respectively. Increasing trends in annual maxima of daily UV-A dose and instantaneous UV-A were averaged to 6.4% and 6.7% , respectively, per year during 1995-1998 at Taegu, Korea.

Effects of water stress on leaf growth, leaf diffusive resistance and net photosynthetic rate were studied on the first trifoliate leaves of snapbean(Phaseolus vulgaris L.) grown under controlled environmental conditions in a growth cabinet. As the drying cycle progressed, leaf water potential, relative water content and the net photosynthetic rate were decreased, but the leaf diffusive resistance was increased. Leaf growth in the elongation and the area was the most sensitive, but the net photosynthetic rate was the least sensitive to water stress. The grade of the leaf photosynthetic rate was the least sensitive to water stress. The grade of the leaf diffusive resistance after recovery was not affected by the different degrees of water stress experienced during the drying cycle but the recovering time attained to the control level was delayed. The leat diffusive resistance was not affected at leaf water potential above -8 bars, but increased rapidly below that value.

A 3,346 by of the cdd upstream region in Bacillus subtilis was sequenced from the pSO1 (Song BH and J Neuhard. 1989. Mol. Gen. Genet 216: 462-468) and sequence homology was searched to the known genes in Genbank and European Molecular Biology Laboratory databanks. Five complete and one truncated putative coding sequences deduced from the nucleotide sequence were found through the ORF searching by Genetyx and Macvector software, and one of them was identified as the dgk (diacylglycerol kinase) gene and another, a truncated one, as the phoH (phosphate starvation-inducible gene) gene. The B. subtilis dgk gene, having a role for response to several environmental stress signals, revealed an open reading frame of 134 amino acids with 43.1% of sequence identity to the Streptococcus mutans dgk gene. The carboxy terminal 59 residues of the truncated phoH gene showed 52.7% and 34.5% of sequence identity in amino acids with the corresponding genes of Mycobacterium leprae and Escherichia coli. The four remaining coding sequences consisting of 115, 421, 91, and 91 residues were thought to be unknown ORFs because they have no significant similarity to known genes.
문화유산으로서 제주해녀의 관광자원 선택속성, 영향인식 차이에 관한 연구 -관광객과 지역주민 간 비교를 중심으로-

본 연구는 사라져가는 제주지역의 해녀를 대상으로 지역주민과 관광객들이 느끼고 있는 선택속성 인식 및 관광자원화가 되었을 경우 나타날 수 있는 효과를 조사하고 원형 보존과 가치성을 모색하여 제주해녀가 지역주민과 관광객들과의 공생을 통해 나아갈 수 있는 보존 방향 모색에 연구목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 문헌연구와 경험적 연구를 병행하였는데 문헌연구에서는 문화유산관광, 관광상품화 영향인식과 관광정책적 접근방향에 대한 연구의 표본과 연구목적들을 중심으로 고찰하였으며, 통계프로그램인 SPSS 12.0과 빈도분석, 모든 변수들의 기술통계량을 제공받고자 기술분석, t-test, ANOVA, 회귀분석을 통해 연구결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과 제주해녀를 바라보는 시각이 지역주민과 관광객은 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났는데 제주해녀가 "대표성을 띠고 있다", "희소성 가치가 높다"가 가장 높은 차이를 보이고 있으며, 다음으로 "지역문화적으로 가치가 높다", "지방적이다", "해녀에게 접근이 용이하다", "보전가치가 높다", "계승할 필요가 있다" 조사되었다. 제주를 대표하는 문화코드, 보존을 통한 가치성 지속 등 문제점 보안을 통하여 추후 제주해녀를 보존, 보전, 계승, 발전할 수 있는 문화정책을 찾아나가야 하며, 해녀에 관한 관광객과 지역주민간의 인식차이를 정확히 파악하여 향후 제주 문화유산으로 거듭날 수 있도록 모색되어야 할 것이다. The study examined the differences between residents and tourists` perceptions on the woman divers known as Haeyeo, which has been recognized as the cultural heritage and regional icon. in Jeju island. Their numbers has declined but their value has increased as of one of the major cultural heritages to preserve originality. To find out the differences between residents and tourists, the 19 attributes were applied, and a total of 279 respondents are required to rate the perception for each attribute. Findings indicated that woman divers would be the best icon of cultural heritage and valuable asset for Jeju island. They also have very unique value for preservation to both tourists and residents. To be continue this, several things, including fund, facilities, programs for tourism and education for woman divers should be supported. Even though survey methods and used attributes may be a limitation of this study, this result of the paper might assist tourism policy for woman divers` preservation to be the sustainable asset.
