A Study has been conducted experimentally on natural convection heat transfer charact-eristics for various Rayleigh numbers at vertical and horizontal plates with the rectangular corner. The results are as follows: 1) While temperature field is formed by the interaction of the heated fluid between verti-cal and horizontal plate, thermal boundary layer is pulled to the vertical plate near co-rner. 2) In case of constant Rayleigh number, the mean Nusselt number of the vertical plate is 28.8% more than that of the horizontal plate at ??. 3) Local Nusselt number increases at the trailing edge of the vertical plate and the lea-ding edge of the horizontal plate but decreases at the corner combined in vertical and horizontal plates. 4) In the vertical plate, the mean Nusselt number has a similar tendancy, but has 38.5% less than by the results of Schmidt and Beckman's study at ??. 5) In the horizontal plate, the mean Nusselt number has a similar tendancy, but has 38.4%iess than by the results of Rotem and Classen's study at ??.

마이크로 팩토리 시스템에서 마이크로 방전 가공 시스템은 많은 장점을 가진다. 전통적인 가공 시스템과 달리 비접촉 가공 방식이기 때문에 소형화에 따른 강성저하 문제에서 자유로우며, 정밀 가공이 가능하다. 그러나 방전가공에서 사용하는 전극에서, 가공 중 발생하는 마모 문제는 생산성뿐만 아니라 가공 정밀도를 떨어뜨리는 문제를 발생시킨다. 이번 연구에서는 전극의 마모 문제를 보완할 수 있는 방전 드릴링 가공과 밀링 가공에서의 공정 제어기법을 제안하였다. 또한, 마이크로 팩토리 용 테스트베드의 방전 가공 모듈로 디스크형 미세 전극 드레싱 가공 시스템, 자동 공구 교환 장치 시스템, 소형 유체 순환 시스템 등도 개발하였다.

농촌진흥청 목포시험장에서 1998년까지 시험한 대마의 재배법 재선 연구중에서 앞으로 실시해야 할 생력기계화 직파재배의 기초가 될 몇가지 시험성적을 정리하였던 바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 남부지방에서의 대마 직파재배의 파종적기는 3월 15일이었다. 2. 적정재식밀도는 휴폭 40cm×주간 5cm가 가장 적당하였다. 3. 직파재배의 시비수준에 대한 반응은 적합하였고 퇴비는 10a당 1,000㎏이 가장 좋았다. Experiments were conducted to reduce the labor and production cost by using the machine in hemp. The results are as follows: The recommendable sowing date and planting space seemed to be Mar. 15 and 40×5cm, respectively. The optimal fertilizer level were with compost of 1,000㎏/10a. Distraction osteogenesis (DO) is a surgical process for reconstruction of combined deficiencies in bone and soft tissue. It involves gradual, controlled displacement of surgically created fractures which results in simultaneous expansion of soft tissue and bone volume. Due to the late introduction of healing by DO in the field of odontology, alveolar DO is increased. The process of alveolar DO involves osteotomy in the area of deficiency, fixation of a healthy segment of bone adjacent the deficient site, transport, and maintenance of newly formed bone. After a 7- or 10-day latency period for soft tissue healing, distraction is performed at the rate of 0.5㎜ twice a day fully to 7㎜. The distractor is then maintained for consolidation after distraction for 10- to 12 weeks. After consolidation, the distractor is removed. Improvement of vertical bone regeneration was achieved in all cases. The resultant distraction zone is filled with natural bone, consistent with the distraction osteogenesis concept. This results in mature cortical bone at the crest for enhanced implant stability and prosthodontic treatment.

The neodymium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Nd:YAG) laser is most widely used for treatment of lesions affecting the oral mucosa. A pulsed Nd:YAG laser (SDL-300EN, Samsung Electronics, Korea) with a wavelength of 1.32㎛ was used. In all cases, contact mode was used. Four cases of soft tissue oral lesions are presented to document the clinical aspects. Surgery proceeded without complication and healing was uneventful. This study indicate that the Nd:YAG laser can be used successfully for intraoral soft tissue applications are well tolerated and minimal bleeding.

In this study, we investigated air pollutants in the glass industry, and converted the fuel of the melting furnace used in the glass industry for the first time in Korea from B-C Oil to LNG. By investigating the saving effect and changes in air pollutants NOx, SOx, and Dust, the following conclusions could be drawn. Switching the melting furnace fuel (BC Oil → LNG) to minimize the environmental impact of the glass industry resulted in a 65 % reduction in SOx, an 18 % reduction in Dust, and a 43 % increase in NOx. However, when the temperature of the melting furnace stabilizes, it will decrease. In terms of cost, it was possible to reduce the basic charge by about 200 million/year by reducing NOx, SOx, and dust. It was possible to reduce the NaOH usage by more than 80 %, saving about 100 million won/year of drug costs. EP dust generated from the electrostatic precipitator was able to reduce waste treatment cost by KRW 40 million/year by reducing NaOH usage by 80 % and EP dust by 65 %. Greenhouse gas emissions were reduced by 28,000 [tCO<sub>2</sub>/year], reducing about 800 million won based on 30,000 won in emission credits. This is to suggest an improvement plan that can be an effective and sustainable response to the change of pollutants according to the change of fuel used and the reduction goal of the 「Special Act on Air Environment Improvement in Air Management Areas」 to be enforced in 2020.

<P>Although the central branches of the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) sensory neurons do not spontaneously regenerate, a conditioning peripheral injury can promote their regeneration. A potential role of macrophages in axonal regeneration was proposed, but it has not been critically addressed whether macrophages play an essential role in the conditioning injury model. After sciatic nerve injury (SNI) in rats, the number of macrophages in DRGs gradually increased by day 7. The increase persisted up to 28 d and was accompanied by upregulation of inflammatory mediators, including oncomodulin. A macrophage deactivator, minocycline, reduced the macrophage number and expressions of the inflammatory mediators. Molecular signatures of conditioning effects were abrogated by minocycline, and enhanced regenerative capacity was substantially attenuated both <I>in vitro</I> and <I>in vivo</I>. Delayed minocycline infusion abrogated the SNI-induced long-lasting heightened neurite outgrowth potential, indicating a role for macrophages in the maintenance of regenerative capacity. Intraganglionic cAMP injection also resulted in an increase in macrophages, and minocycline abolished the cAMP effect on neurite outgrowth. However, conditioned media (CM) from macrophages treated with cAMP did not exhibit neurite growth-promoting activity. In contrast, CM from neuron–macrophage cocultures treated with cAMP promoted neurite outgrowth greatly, highlighting a requirement for neuron–macrophage interactions for the induction of a proregenerative macrophage phenotype. The growth-promoting activity in the CM was profoundly attenuated by an oncomodulin neutralizing antibody. These results suggest that the neuron–macrophage interactions involved in eliciting a proregenerative phenotype in macrophages may be a novel target to induce long-lasting regenerative processes after axonal injuries in the CNS.</P>
