This study was carried out to characterized the hemorrhagic lesion sof the collagenase induced hemorrhagic stroke in rats. Fifty three Sprague-Dawley male rats were divided into two group. Group Ⅰ was served as model animals for hemorrhagic stroke, which were infused with 2㎕ saline containing 0.5unit collagenase(type Ⅶ) into the caudaate nuclei. Group Ⅱ was served as control animals, which were infused with 2㎕ saline only into the caudate nuclei. Six heaks of the rats of group Ⅰ were sacrificed at 30 min, 1, 5, 24 hours, 2, 5, 10 days after the infusion , and 3 heads of rats were sacrificed at 15 days after the infusion. Two heads of the rats of group Ⅱ were sacrificed at 30min, 1,5, 24 hours after the infusion. The brains of the rats were removed and examined grossly and histopathologically. Grossly, pin point sized or linear hemorrhage were occurred at 30minutes and the hemorrhagic lesions extended to 5mm in diameter at 24 hours. After then the hemorrhagic lesions faded gradually. Histopathologically, extended hemorrhage with degeneration of brain parenchyma were observed at 5 hours. Large area of malacia were observed at 24 hours. At 5 days, proliferation of astrocytes, proliferation of newly formed capillaries, and infiltration of lipid laden macrophages were seen at the periphery of the area of malacia. At 15 days, most of the area of malacia were replaced by granulation tissue. These observations may be useful parameters for the screening of therapeutic drugs using collagenase induced hemorrhagic stroke animal model.

This paper is an experimental research on the capillary separation treatment of the synthetic wastewater and leachate in Kimpo landfilling site using the wood refinary fibers(WRF) and simple wooven textiles(SWT) materials. WRF and SWT are the very water-suctionable materials, and its physico-chemical characteristics are investicated the previous study. As a results, in the experimental results of the synthetic wastewater and the leachate treatment, kaolinite and milky waste-water treated perfectly, and the leachate treated partly. And treatibility depend on only the initial concentration of wastewater, not the capillary height, area, and shapes.

This paper is a research on the life cycle assessment (LCA) of plastic bag, bottle and container. In order to compare the environmental analysis of plastic, paper, pulp, aluminium, glass and steel material, it is studied by LCA technique from before-discarded step such as the material collection, processing of product, energy and water consumption, and product transportation, to after-discarded step such as waste product transportation, air and water pollutant discharge, waste generation, and treatment and/or disposal of waste. As a results, plastic material has a better environmental assessment than the other materials in before- and after-discarded step. So, plastic material must be newly concerned with a green material, and must be reappraised to the waste-deposit systems.

Up to now all carton packs used for milk container in our country have been imported abroad. With rapid increase of interest on environment and waste recycling, Environmental Societies and Civil Consumer's Organization restart the Use of Glass Bottle for Milk Movement. From preliminary survey result that glass bottle had many advantages in most test items, we chose the glass bottle as substitute for carton pack, and proposed some regulations such as usable range and detailed regulation, etc. Because at this time it is impossible to rebuild whole pack manufacturing process to substitute carton pack to glass bottle, it may be more favorable to use glass bottle for milk packing under some restricted condition such as easy recollection and reusable circumstances. In addition some governmental regulations to promote glass bottle milk productions and sale and to return all used glass bottles are absolutely required in group catering system. If above is impossible, it will be next choice to set up regulations of milk packing as well as to use glass bottle at some position, and adopt a consumer deposit system in order to increase glass bottle usage, which will help environmental protection and economy.

MPTP 독성물질이 도파민성 신경세포에 선택적으로 작용하여 산화성 손상에 의한 신경세포사를 일으키는 것을 이용하여 파킨슨병의 동물모델을 만들고, 이를 통해서 아폼토시스를 비롯한 포사의 기전에 대한 연구 및 너코틴의 신경세포 보호효과 여부를 판정하는 실험을 병행하고자 하였다. 파킨슨꾐의 동물모델을 MPTf 독성 물질을 이용하여 확립하였으며, MPTP(30mgag, i.p.)를 투여한 후 1, 2,3, 4, 5일째 흑질 조직을 채춰하여 tarm로 박걸하여 tyrosine hydroxylase 면역조직화학염색을 수행하여 cell countif우한 결과, control은 57.635ce11s, 1일째 친.OfDells,2일째 57.9±6cells,3일릴 없.3±죠ells, 4일째 49.0츠3cells, 5일째 39.4±Scells료 4, 3일째 뚜렷한 신경세포 수의 감소를 보였다. 신경세포사 기전 규명을 위한 아폼토시스 분걱에서는 벼PTP 투여 후 1, 2, 3, 4, 5일째 조직을 채취하여 Hoechst staining, TUNEL staining을 수곡하였는데 양성 반응을 보인 신경세포는 관찰되지 않아. 아폼토시스로 인한 세포사가 관찰되지 않았다. bIPTP 파킨슨병 동물모델에서 nicotine 보호효과 탐색에 관한 실험은 nicat푸e 0.2mgAg을 5일 퐁안 투여 후 리『fP(30mgag)를 CS7Bt/6 마은스에 복강 내주사로 nicotine과 병용 투여한 후 1, 2, 3, 4, 5일째 뇌를 적출하땄다. 신경세포사가 뚜렷이 관찰되기 시작하는 4, 5일째의 신경세포 수의 감소 정도를 20. 30% 정도 약화시키는 경향을 보였으나, nicotine 보호효과에 대한 추가 실헝이 현재 수행 중에 있다. The cause of Parkinson's disease (PD) is largely unknown. However, free radical toxicit? may plaf a role ip. the degeneration of substantia nigra, which is the Hajorfocus of pathological damages in PD. Recently, a neuroprotective effect of nicotine in PD has been suggested. Therefore, the mechanism of neurodegenerafion and protective potential o( nicotine in PD were investigated in the experimental modeB of Pll using a neurotoxin, C57BL/6mice were administered with 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP, 30 mg/kg,j.p.). The degree of neurodegenerafion was determined by immunohistochemical stainiHB oftyrosine hydroxylase (TH). TH-positive cells on nigral sections were found 56.0 ±4, 57.9 ±6,52.315ce11s, 49.0±3cells, and 39,4±Scells at days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, respectively (controls : 57.6±Scells). Hoechst and TUNEL staining showed no evidence of apoptosis. The exandnation on themice co-adrunistered with nicotine(0.2mgAg) and MPTP(30mgag) revealed a tendency ofnicotine protective effects. At days 4 and 5, the degree of TH-positive cells was decreased by20-30%, In corclusiffn, the role of apoptosis was not evidenced in this MPTP modeB of PB.The possible proteccon by nicotine should be elucidated with further studies.
니켈 촉매를 사용한 Arenarol Analog Library의 합성

Arenarol 이나 avarol 계열의 화합물들은 항암 또는 항 AIDS 에 뛰어난 효과를 보인다고 알려지면서 연구가 활발히 진행되어 전합성까지 이루어졌다. 그러나, 이들이 가진 복잡한 decalone 구조로 인해 십 여 단계 이상의 합성과정을 거쳐야 하므로 신약으로 개발되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이들이 가진 복잡한 decalone 구조를 neopentyl구조로 단순화 시킨 arenarol 단순유도체 (arenarol analog)를 디자인 하였고, 다양한 종류의 치환체를 갖는 areanrol 단순유도체들을 합성하였다. Recently, it is generally known that arenarol and avarol derivatives have been shown to exhibit either anti-cancer or anti-AIDS properties, and total synthesis of arenarol and avarol were reported. But arenarol and avarol have not been developed to new drugs because they contain complicated decalone structures. We disigned arenarol analogs through simplifying the decalone to a substituted neopentyl structure, and synthesized arenarol analogs.

This study was done to examine the problems and resolutions for the hog farms in the current and future direction of information utilization and hog management software. Based on the survey of 70 farms which possess computers in Honam area, the main object of purchasing computers was to use in day to day life such as childrens' education. The object of purchasing for business use or information collection was relatively minor. The sites most frequently visited by internet were in the field of childrens' education, followed by agricultural marketing. The fields hog farms concern in the near future are found to be the sites, by the order, in marketing, children's education, e-mail, agricultural technology, agricultural management, and weather forecast. Besides the contents development in these fields, development of agricultural software seem to be urgently needed. Since hog management softwares have contributed to raise the accuracy in decision making by 20%, to raise productivity and profitability, to reduce labor and cost, and to raise quality(10%, respectively).
