        일반적으로 응답자가 민감한 속성을 가지고 있지 않으면 직접 "예"라고 응답하고, 민감한 속성을 가지고 있으면 Greenberg et.al (1969)의 무관질문모형의 확률장치를 이용하여 선택된 질문에 응답을 하는 새로운 무관확률화응답모형을 써서 모집단의 비율Ⅱ을 추정하기 위하여 표본의 비율 p^^를 생각하면, 95%신뢰수준에서는 1.96×se(p^^)≤오차의 한계로부터 계산된다. 그러면 문제는 se(p^^)가 될 것이다. 그러나 여론조사의 경우 모집단이 K개의 범주로 나누어지고 각각 비율이 Ⅱ_1,Ⅱ_2,…,Ⅱ_k일 때, 그리고 표본에서의 비율을 P_1,P_2,…,P_k라 하면, 실제의 관심은 가장 큰 두개의 비율(Ⅱ_1,Ⅱ_2라 하자)의 차이에 대하여 연구자가 원하는 만큼의 신뢰수준과 오차의 한계를 갖는 표본의 크기를 원한다. 따라서 정해진 신뢰수준과 오차의 한계를 갖는 표본의 크기를 원한다. 따라서 정해진 신뢰수준과 오차의 한계를 얻기 위한 표본의 크기는 se(P^^_1 - P^^_2)에 대한 이론이다.

        Diallel crosses as mating designs are used to study the genetic properties of inbred lines in plant breeding experiments. Suppose there are p inbred lines and let a cross between lines i and j be denoted by (i,j), i<j=1,2,…,p. Let n_(c) denote the total number of distinct crosses in the experiment. Our interest lines in comparing the parents with respect to their general combining ability(gca) parameters. The complete diallel cross involves all possible crosses among the p parental lines with n_(c)=p(p-1)/2. Sometimes p tends to be large resulting in a large number of crosses. and it becomes impractical to carry out even one replication of the diallel cross. In such situations a partial diallel cross may be used for carrying out the experiment. Diallel crosses in completely randomized designs have been discussed by several authors, e.g. Kempthorne and Currow(1961). Singh and Hinkelmann(1990). Optimal block designs for complete diallel crosses have been considered by Gupta and Kageyama(1994), Dey and Midha(1996), and Das, Dey and Dean(1998). Singh and Hinkelmann(1995) gave efficient block designs for partial diallel crosses using partially balanced incomplete block designs. Orthogonal blocking of partial diallel crosses was considered by Gupta, Das and Kageyama(1995). In the paper we consider complete diallel cross experiments in which two sources of nuisance variability are to be controlled. Row-column designs provide a general class of designs for controlling heterogeneity in the experimental material in two directions. Universally optimal row-column designs for complete diallel crosses are investigated.

        Regression diagnostics in the method of diagnosis accomplished for get more useful information in estimation of regression coefficient. And It diagnose investigation of error term hypothesis and correlation of independent variable, selection of fitted model, appearance of outlier. A value of measurement influenced effect by estimation of regression coefficient. If there is mighty correlation among independent variable than It is difficult to get converse matrix of X'X or The mean of regression analysis is decline because of variance of regression coefficient estimated is expand and there is no meaning parameter estimation of method of least squares. Multicollinearity is the case that it is difficult to get converse matrix of X'X or not exist as for being relation of mighty linear combination among of independent variable, each column of matrix. Therefore, In this thesis, there is a target to reduce multicollinearity through the method of principal component regression and factor analysis in method of solution and the way of diagnose multicollnearity like this. The method of principal component regression is the method of solve a problem that use principal component regression estimator was independent variable by principal component, in case appearance of multicollinearity. In case, data of complicated from are correlated, we will interpret for search a potential common factor that can explain correlation among variables throughout factor analysis. Solve the problem throughout the factor analysis, find potential common factor of complicate variables and establish of statistic model and then explain relation structure of variables and estimate factor score and that apply regression analysis.

        This paper is to help a teacher carry out the test about whether or not his teaching method is more effective, compared with existing method or other teacher's method. In this paper, the followings are shown : 1. We derived a probability density function of multivariate normal distribution and arranged 1-dimensional, 2-dimensional, and 3-dimensional normal distribution. 2. We described the theory on student's t-distribution and F-distribution, the mean, and the variance. 3. We described t-test theory used in comparison and analysis of one sample mean or two sample means, and F-test theory used in comparison and analysis of several means. 4. Finally, we showed t-test and F-test with the example and described the method of comparison and analysis using SAS.

      • Empirical and Hierarchical Bayes Estimator's in General Linear Models

        Consider the problem of estimating a vector of unknown regression coefficient or an unknown estimate function under the sum of squared error losses in general linear models. We first provide empirical and hierarchical Bayes estimator of an estimable function shrinking towards a fixed known point. We also propose empirical and hierarchical Bayes estimators of a vector of unknown regression coefficients shriking towards regression surface, and then show that the hierarchical Bayes estimator of an estimable function is identical to the least squares estimator of the same estimable function.

        Optimality of complete diallel crosses in experiment with incomplete blocks is investigated. Optimal complete diallel crosses are characterized, and such binary plans are derived using nested balanced incomplete block designs. Especially, classes of MS-optimal designs as theorem are discussed.

      • Estimator of Mean Residual Life of Lognormal Life Distribution

        In this paper we consider a new estimator of mean residual life(MRL), based on the partial moment of the distribution. The parameters of a partial moment are estimated by its maximum likelihood estimators when the underlying distribution is known. Though the new estimator is not a consistent estimator of the MRL, it is shown to have smaller mean squared error than the well known empirical MRL estimator for certain parametric families. Numerical summaries of the mean squared error of the new estimator are presented.

      • Bayes Estimation in a Hieatchical Linear Model

        In a hierarchical linear model, we propose the hierarchical Bayes estimator of a vector of unknown regression coefficients in a hierarchical linear model, and then prove the admissibility of this estimator using Blyth's method.
