        A simple limit-equilibrium-based method to estimate the pressures exerted by EPS(Expanded Polystyrene) block is presented in this study. To verify the validity of the developed method, the computed results are compared with those obtained from the large scale retaining wall tests. Using the developed method, the efficiency of EPS backfill models is analyzed, and also results of analytical parametric study are presented to demonstrate the effects of design parameters. Finally, the displacements expected at the facing are examined throughout the FLAC Program analyses.

      • 社會體育振興을 위한 國民意識 再考方案

        The purpose of this paper is to investigate and analyze the nation's consciousness about the social physical education by regional groups(big cityes, middle cityes, farm village, fishing villge). And the researchers are to find a way to populize this movement. These subjects for this investigation were chosen at random among the citizens in four region. 4,450 sheets of questionnaire were given to the citizen. And 3,587(81%) sheets of them were received from male(2,582) and female(975) citizens. The results of this investigation are as follows: 1. The nation's consciousness has not been still modernized and the nation tend to depend on their doctors rather than on the new active leisure sports, which is a passive and conventional way, to keep their health. 2. Most people have spent their leisures on nonactive hobby such as reading, listening to music, and watching TV rather than sports. 3. Most residents pointed out lack of facilities, and needed professional directors and various programs they could participate. 4. The opening of citizen athletic field and the gymnasiums to citizens was needed to recruit the lack of facility, and the participation to commercial sport ws differed by economical status and leisure time, however, they usually participated such activities as table-tennis, swimning and tennis. 5. To activate social physical education, first of all, an expansion of the facilities such as athletic fields and gymnasium is needed under the active support of government. 6. The facilities for young men and the handicapped is insufficient, and to prevent juvenile delinquency and guide them into the right way, we should lead them out to participate sports activity. And the facility for the handicapped is needed too.

      • 신경망을 이용한 기준모델 적응제어시스템의 설계

        신경망을 이용하여 구성된 기준모델 적응제어기를 제안한다. 본 논문의 목적은 불확실한 상황에서 비선형 플랜트를 제어하기 위함이다. 제안된 적응 제어 기법은 적응기법과 Lyapunov 이론을 기초로한 학습 알고리즘을 이용하여 변화되는 동적환경에서도 안정된 제어동작을 보장한다. 그리고 전방향 신경망 제어기는 전체 시스템의 일부로써, 마치 적응제어기처럼 초기에도 안정된 동작을 보장한다. 제안된 시스템은 두가지의 제어기법을 사용하며, 폐궤한 제어기는 위치, 속도 등의 오차를 감소시키는 방향으로 제어입력을 만들고, 신경망은 폐궤환 제어기가 보상치 못한 오차분을 보상한다. 마지막으로, 제안된 제어시스템을 가지고 2자유도 메니퓰레이터로 모의 실험 검증을 할 것이다. The Neural Network MRAC system is presented. The purpose of this paper is applied to a plant that is to be controlled in a uncertainty environment. The proposed control system has a learning and adaptation ability in the varying environment by using the error back-propagation learning algorithm based on Lyapunov stability theory. And The N.N. regulator is a part of the overall system and is guaranteed to be stable in the initial stage. This control system is divided into the feedforword controller(N.N.regulaotr) and the feed back controller. The feedforword controller has a capability of compensating for the varying mass parameter and the nonlinear terms of gravity, colilori and centifugal term. And the feedback controller works to eliminate errors of position, velocity which the feedforword controller cannot compensate for. Finally, the proposed control system are demonstrated by using the simulation of a two d.o.f. robot manipulator.

      • 산사태 억지벽체공법에 관한 연구

        This paper proposes a stabilizing method against landslide using slide suppressor wall reinforced with soil nails. Included are a procedure to predict earth pressures acing on the concrete panel and a method of analysis of the stabilizing pile. Based on the proposed procedure, the efficient installation type and inclusion angle of nails are analyzed. Also, optimum location of the slide suppressor wall composed of concrete panel and stabilizing pile is analyzed. Finally the comparison with a method proposed by Wright is made, and the effect of interactions between stabilizing piles is examined, throughout the design example.

      • 횡하중을 받는 CIDH말뚝의 회전이동에 따른 수동토압의 변화

        An analytical solution procedure is described to estimate the developed passive lateral earth pressures against a laterally loaded cast-in-drilled-hole pile rotating near about its middle height into a mass of cohesionless soil. Various stages of pile rotation, from an at-rest state to an initial passive state to a full passive state, are considered in the analysis. Based upon the equilibrium of a tetrahedron-shaped soil failure wedge and the Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion, the necessary equations for solution are obtained. Variation of the soil strength and the point of rotation due to rotational movement of a pile are also taken into account in the analysis. Finally, the results predicted by the developed method of analysis are compared with those obtained from the experimental model tests on sand. The comparisons show in general good agreements at various stages of a pile movement.

      • 강성벽체의 수평이동에 따른 발생토압의 변화

        An analytical solution method is described to estimate the developed static horizontal earth pressures behind a vertical rigid wall experiencing inward translational movement. Condition of failure defined by a modified Mohr-Coulomb criterion, together with hyperbolic function to define the variation of sand shear strenth, is used in the analysis. The results predicted by the developed method of analysis are compared with those from the experimental model tests on loose or dense sands. The comarisons show good agreements at various stages of wall movement. Finally, a example is provided to illustrate the transition of horizontal earth pressures behind a rough rigid wall.

        1932년 바나하에 의해 소개된 一樣有界元理(Uniform boundedness Principle)는 베어 카테고리 定理를 이용하여 證明 되었으며, 대부분 문헌 역시 같은 방법으로 소개하고 있다. 본 논문은 베어카테고리 정리와는 관계없는 초보적인 보조정리를 이용한 一樣有界元理 證明을 소개 한다. 나아가 一樣有界元理를 응용하여 얻은 기존의 결과들을 재 조명함으로써, 동 원리를 응용할 수 있는 수학적 대상을 탐색하고 활용하는 데에 도움을 주고자 한다.

      • 제주도산 노랑초파리(Drosophila melanogaster) 자연집단에 있어서 P-M system에 의한 Cytotype 분포

        The frequency of the cytotype distribution of the P-M system was investigated in the natural populations of Drosophila melanogaster form 4 localities (Cheju, Sogwipo, Moseulpo, Sungsan) of Cheju-Island. The results are as follows : 1. The frequencies of M, Q, and M'(pseudo M) types are 17.95%, 33.01% and 49.04%, respectively. 2. The activities of M cytotype appered to be variable among 4 population, indicating M and Q cytotype. 3. The P factor activity for potential GD sterility is negligible in these populations.

      • 발생토압의 감소 및 증가 효과를 고려한 캔티레바식 옹벽 설계

        In the case of retaining walls rotating about the base or the top, developed lateral earth pressures at various stages of wall rotation could be reduced or increased by sloping one face of the wall in the direction of the supported sand mass. To compute the developed earth pressures reduced or increased, Coulomb's solution method was modified. By applying the effect of reduction or increase in developed lateral earth pressures to the design of a cantilever retaining wall, i.e., by sloping the heel or the toe of a cantilever retaining wall, it was found that the width of the base slab could be reduced with approximately the same factor of safety against sliding, resulting in less volume of concrete, excavation and backfill. Furthermore, the rate of change in magnitude of developed earth pressures was analyzed at various stages of wall rotation for different values of sand friction angle as well as wall friction.
