In the beginning, the application and research of marketing concepts did not of beyond the scope of the business firms, but today, as the social needs and expectation standards become increased, the concepts have gone beyond the scopes of the businesses activities. In other words, as the marketing concepts become more socially oriented, marketing thoughts and theories can be applied even to non-profit organizations, and thus, the scope of the application for marketing becomes expanded. The debate for marketing scopes first began with publishing of thesises in the Journal of Marketing of scholars claiming the expansional need for the applicability of marketing concepts. The two sides in this debate is the expansionist versus the existing traditionalisists. This paper examines the background for the marketing sphere debate, the comparison between the marketing sphere and its opposition, and the extent in which this problem is applied and researched. According to the expansion-applicability scholars, marketing can be applied to non-profit organizations and with successful results. The traditionists do not deny that marketing concepts and tools can be applied to non-profit organizations to achieve their goals but they claim that the existing sphere of marketing transactions and other activities relating to business, is enough and need not be expanded. In establishing the scope of marketing, we can solve all the activities and related transactions including the group activities and related problems of non-profit organizations within the expanded marketing scope. In reality, any non-profit organization which does not face problems relationg to consumers and products do not exist. This is because it is not possible to avoid the marketing activities, and whether an organization recognizes this or not, it is true that all execute some from of marketing activity in their own way. Therefore, looking at this in this view point, it is necessary for all organizations, whether profit or non-profit, must apply the generic concept of marketing to solve the problems they encounter. Thus, it is necessary to expand in full, the marketing application sphere to improve the signification of marketing theory as a part of social science.

Currently the evaluation of high school science and mathematics learning has been too much knowledge-centered without concerning the inquiring ability or scientific attitude. This study, therefore, was made for the purpose of establishing of evaluation model for high school science (biology and earth science) and mathematics learning and its evaluation items. In this paper, the research was done about three fields, biology, earth science and mathematics. 1. For the biology, the evaluation methods of inquiry learning were studied with the foreign references, and proper evaluation items were suggested. 2. For the earth science, after analizing 5 kinds of earth science textbook of current using in high school, essential 19 items were selected. 5 of them were tested in test group and control group, then, the results were analized. 3. For the mathematice, the teaching elements of「Set」and「Flow chart」in mathematics (Ⅰ) were selected and structured. Detailed teaching objects were established and evaluation items were introduced.
Pull-out test에 의해 형성된 리드프레임/EMC 계면의 파손경로에 대한 형성과정 해석

Two types of copper-oxide layers were formed on the surface of a copper-based leadframe sheets by immersing them in two kinds of hot alkaline solutions. The oxide-coated leadframe sheets were molded with EMC (Epoxy Molding Compound), and the molded bodies were machined to form pull-out specimens for the purpose of measuring the adhesion strength between oxide-coated leadframe and EMC. After the pull-out tests, fracture surfaces were analyzed using various techniques to find out the failure loci, and subsequently, finite element modeling was carried out to simulate failure loci forming process. The results revealed that phase angle is a main factor affecting failure locus. Local phase angle changes resulted in locally different failure loci. (Received November 26, 2004)

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>A single‐walled carbon nanotube rope interconnect is fabricated by utilizing dielectrophoresis and capillary condensation. The rope connects a pair of prefabricated cantilevers with good alignment and outstanding packing density. The diameter and resistance of the rope are readily controlled by adjusting the dielectrophoresis parameters such as applied voltage and frequency. The properties of the rope, including packing density, electron transport, and maximum current density, are investigated. The maximum current density of the rope is measured to be as high as 1 × 10<SUP>7</SUP> A/cm<SUP>2</SUP> in vacuum. </P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In dry reforming of methane (DRM), coke deposition on the Ni-based catalyst is the main cause of instability of the process. Perovskite LaNiO<SUB>3</SUB> is a well-known highly active catalyst precursor for DRM, but the La-Ni catalyst derived from it is susceptible to severe coke deposition and thus difficult for practical applications. To improve its stability and activity, Co and Mn are introduced to develop a tri-metallic LaNi<SUB>0.34</SUB>Co<SUB>0.33</SUB>Mn<SUB>0.33</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> catalyst precursor. The role of Mn is to improve the stability of the catalyst, whereas Co is an additional active component to increase the reaction rates. A strong metal and support interaction mediated by MnO is noted in the tri-metallic catalyst, which contributes to a synergistic effect of the tri-metals to sustain the high activity and stability under the harsh conditions of DRM.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Perovskite LaNiO<SUB>3</SUB> was substituted with Co, Mn by a microwave-assisted Pechini method. </LI> <LI> Reduced LaNi<SUB>0.34</SUB>Co<SUB>0.33</SUB>Mn<SUB>0.33</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> showed improved DRM activity and stability. </LI> <LI> Mn improved the catalyst stability, whereas Co increased the reaction rates. </LI> <LI> MnO mediated a strong interaction between metallic sites and La<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> support. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
