<P><B>Cyclodextrins</B> tethered onto a mesoporous silica nanoparticle via disulfide stalking are effective gatekeepers not only to entrap guest molecules in the pore but also to release the guest in response to glutathione (GSH). The PEGylated nanocontainers also exhibit efficient GSH‐mediated release of doxorubicin in cancer cells. Our approach offers unique applications for multifunctional delivery systems. </P>
Effects of individuation and categorization on face representations in the visual cortex

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The human faculty of distinguishing thousands of faces critically contributes to face identification and our social interactions. While prior studies have revealed the involvement of the fusiform face area (FFA) in the individuation processing of faces, there are also reports supporting that the responses of the FFA is flexible depending on tasks. Here, we investigated whether the specificity of neural responses in the FFA for individual faces depends on the need for individuation using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). We found that individual face images could be decoded from response patterns of the FFA when individuation was required for the task but not when only categorization according to a common feature such as race or gender was necessary. These results suggest that the specificity of neural responses for individual faces is flexible in the FFA, depending on the behavioral goal of face individuation.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The specificity of neural responses for individual faces in the FFA is flexible. </LI> <LI> Individual faces could be decoded during individuation but not during categorization. </LI> <LI> Face representations depends on the behavioral goals of face individuation and categorization. </LI> </UL> </P>

<P>The cyclodextrin covered porous silica nanoparticles (Si-MPs) exhibited enzyme responsive characteristics. The cyclodextrin gatekeepers on the surface of Si-MPs can be hydrolyzed by a-amylase to release guest molecules from the porous reservoir. The ester linkage in the stalk part of the cyclodextrin gatekeeper can also be cleaved by lipase to release guests from the channel. Our approach would provide a unique methodology for controlled delivery systems.</P>

Methylation of HBV cccDNA has been detected in vivo and in vitro; however, the mechanism and its effects on HBV replication remain unclear. HBx derived from a 1.2-mer HBV replicon upregulated protein levels and enzyme activities of DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1), 3a, and 3b, resulting in methylation of the negative regulatory region (NRE) in cccDNA, while none of these effects were observed with an HBx-null mutant. The HBx-positive HBV cccDNA expressed higher levels of HBc and produced about 4-fold higher levels of HBV particles than those from the HBx-null counterpart. For these effects, HBx interrupted the action of NRE binding protein via methylation of the C-1619 within NRE, resulting in activation of the core promoter. Treatment with 5-Aza-2′dC or DNMT1 knock-down drastically impaired the ability of HBx to activate the core promoter and stimulate HBV replication in 1.2-mer HBV replicon and in vitro infection systems, indicating the positive role of HBx-mediated cccDNA methylation in HBV replication.

The Korea Internet of Things Society. In this paper, we developed 'PyStudy' system as a python based self-study helper software. Proposed PyStudy system is consisted with several components such as PyStudy console, self-study window, helper and self-coding window. User can refer helper function to find questionable python libraries at on-line connection quickly. And self-progress checking on python study also provided on integrated PyStudy IDE software. The PyStudy software provides the information necessary to learn the Python language efficiently. Proposed software can be applicable to an advanced Python language education course. 논문에서는 python 언어를 학습하고자 하는 학생을 위한 학습 도우미 'PyStudy'를 개발하였다. 'PyStudy'는 콘솔창, 학습창, 학습 진도창, 파이썬 도움말, 학습콘텐츠로 구성되어 있다. 학생은 통상적인 통합개발환경(IDE) 기능과 학습콘텐츠들을 학습창을 통해 이용할 수 있다. 학습도중 모르는 것이 있을 경우 파이썬 도움말을 이용해 빠르게 찾을 수 있다. 학생의 학습관리는 학습 진도창을 통해 이루어진다. PyStudy는 파이썬 언어에 대한 효율적 학습환경을 제공하며, 이를 통해 파이썬 기반 고급 프로그래밍 교육에 적용할 수 있다.
