This paper analyze spectrum of vibration-frequencies to reduce noise level of d transformer. Using loading back method on same condition of real load to grasp th core and winding which are caused by the transformer vibration. We were mea vibration-frequency by varing appiled voltage and load current of a transformer. cause of a transformer vibration is occured by the harmonic effects, and was identifi vibration is less influenced by the coil. As the result of this paper, comparing the transformer with some isolated materi general transformer, the transformer with some isolated material could reduc amplitude of vibration-frequencies.

Photocatalyzed degradation of acetylene gas was carried out over precoated titanium dioxide(anatase) illuminated UV light in a flow reactor. photocatalytic oxidation of acetylene gas indicated high conversion rates (78.0%) to CO₂gas. And photocatalytic oxidation of gas according to a fold, twofold, and threefold of titanium dioxide(anatase) respectively gave high conversion rates. The longer reaction time was, the higher conversion rate to CO₂ gas showed.

According to recent studies, the immunogenetic factors are thought to be account for a part of the etiopathogenesis of autoimmune thyroid disease. In Korea, there was one report on the relationship between HLA DR5, DR8, B13 and autoimmune thyroid disease. There were also several reports on a familial hereditary transmission of autoimmune thyroid disease in other countries but not in Korea. We describe the occurrence of autoimmune thyroid disease that affected three members of a family through three generations. This is the first report on familial hereditary transmission of autoimmune thyroid disease in Korea. We report on an 80-year-old woman who presented with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, her 53-year-old daughter who had Graves' disease, and her 29-year-old grand-daughter who had Graves' disease. In order to identify the immunogenetic influence in these cases, HLA haplotypes & thyroid autoantibody were studied. HLA DRB3*02 was obseved in each of the patents. HLA DQB1*0301, DR11, DQB1*05031 and DR14 were observed in the two cases. However, HLA B13, DR5 and DR8 were not observed. The patients are currently undergoing follow-up using PTU, methimazole and synthyroid medication

<i>In situ</i> characterization of the field-emission behaviour of individual carbon nanotubes

<P>The current–voltage (<I>I–V</I>) characteristics of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) during field emission were investigated by <I>in situ</I> imaging and field-emission (FE) measurement inside a field-emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). A primary electron of the FE-SEM could induce and enhance a large stimulated electron emission from a CNT which might be due to the strong local field on the tip of the CNT in the presence of an applied voltage. FE of bent nanotubes (BNTs) can initially occur after they are fully straightened or it can start in the bent state (during geometrical straightening) as the applied field increases. The FE from a single CNT follows FN (Fowler–Nordheim) behaviour with a single linear slope in the FN plot. The FE from two nanotubes with a geometrical change during FE showed transition of the FN slope from the low voltage to the high voltage region, which could be due to interactions between two dynamic neighbouring BNTs.</P>

Various membrane tests were conducted to determine transport characteristics of natural organic matter (NOM) in ion exchange (IX) membranes. Both pH and ion strength could affect the adsorption of NOM on the membrane surface. The amount of the adsorbed NOM mass on the membrane surface under an alkaline (pH 10) condition was approximate 3.0 times larger than that under an acid condition (pH 4) when the dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentration of NOM was 10 ㎎-C/L. Zeta potential was characterized to demonstrate the effect of IX membrane fouling with NOM on the membrane surface charge. The major transmitted NOM fraction through electrodialysis membrane was anticipated to be the hydrophobic NOM due to its high negative charge density. However, the molecular size of the hydrophobic NOM was too large to pass thorough the IX membrane pores, providing its accumulation or adsorption on the membrane surface.

The principle of the ultra-high frequency (UHF) method to detect partial discharge(PD) in GIS is to measure the UHF electromagnetic waves excited by PD pulses. Such electromagnetic waves propagate along the GIS busbar in the TEM-mode, TE-mode, TM-mode. And the coaxial busbar of the GIS acts as a waveguide in which the UHF electromagnetic waves travel. This paper was studied the analysis on damping characteristic of electromagnetic waves excited by PD in GIS and presented the method to yield the cutoff frequency for determine the minimum band of sensor that detect the PD pulse.
