Formal Representation and Query for Digital Contents Data

Digital contents services are one of the topics that have been intensively studied in the media industry, wherevarious semantic and ontology techniques are applied. However, query execution for ontology data is stillinefficient, lack of sufficient extensible definitions for node relationships, and there is no specific semanticmethod fit for media data representation. In order to make the machine understand digital contents (DCs) datawell, we analyze DCs data, including static data and dynamic data, and use ontology to specify and classifyobjects and the events of the particular objects. Then the formal representation method is proposed which notonly redefines DCs data based on the technology of OWL/RDF, but is also combined with media segmentationmethods. At the same time, to speed up the access mechanism of DCs data stored under the persistent database,an ontologybased DCs query solution is proposed, which uses the specified distance vector associated to asurveillance of semantic label (annotation) to detect and track a moving or static object.

In this work, micro plasma-induced non-equilibrium liquid chemistry was utilized to synthesize and controlled formation of gold metallic nanoparticles (Au MNPs) by governing the concentration of (HAuCl4). These new approaches based on both plasma and liquid electrolytes contain charged species, and the interactions between the two phases represent a unique combination of physics, chemistry, and materials science. Continuous and stable DC glow discharge was done in home–made cavity to synthesize the definite sizes of (Au MNPs) by means of (3 kV) discharge voltage and (2 mA) discharge current for a period of (7 min) in aqueous solution of HAuCl4 with four different concentrations of about 1 mM, 5 mM, 10 mM and 20 mM at room temperature. The atmospheric pressure plasma discharge between stainless steel capillary tube cathode electrode over the (HAuCl4) solution and platinum plate as an anode dipped in solution for rapid formation of colloidal Au MNPs. Morphology aspects of the synthesized Au MNPs layer were studied by examining the (FE-SEM), HR-TEM images and X-ray difraction (XRD) pattern. Optical features of (Au MNPs) were considered via a UV–Vis beam spectrophotometer. These measurements showed that Au MNPs were organized by governing the concentration of HAuCl4, and uniform Au MNPs with specific exclusive sizes were acquired. Grain size, specific surface area and optical stability of Au MNPs strongly be affected by the HAuCl4 concentrations.

Heating and cooling degree days (HDDs/CDDs) method is commonly used to quantify the demand for energy needed for cooling and heating of buildings. Therefore, daily air temperature (minimum and maximum) from four stations in Iraq were analyzed to detect the annual and monthly heating and cooling degree-days trend over the period 1970–2014 using linear regression techniques. The results indicated that; Annual mean values of accumulated heating degree-days AHDDs recorded from 1048oC in Basra station in the south to 2289oC in Mosul station north of Iraq. The annual mean values of ACDDs registered from 2220oC in Rutba to 2927oC in Basra. The annual AHDDs trends analysis indicated significant decreasing trends for all stations with probability level ≥ 99% except in Basra. The monthly AHDDs showed a general decreasing trend for all stations, and for most months about 91.6%of monthly trends had negative values. However, the annual total accumulated cooling degreedays ACDDs indicated that all stations registered significant positive trends with probability level ≥ 99 %. The highest annual positive linear tendency rate was recorded in Basra (19.586 oC/year). Moreover, the monthly ACDDs showed in the winter months from December to February, there were no significant trend values recorded. Except for these three months, there were significantly increased ACDDs trends in all stations and for the majority of the months during the study period.

The genus Schizomyia Kieffer (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) is newly recorded in Taiwan and Schizomyia maesae Elsayed, Lin & Tokuda n. sp. that forms irregular galls on stems of Maesa perlaria (Lour.) Merr. var. formosana (Primulaceae) is described as new to science. The genus Gephyraulus Rübsaamen (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) is newly recorded on Fabaceae and in Japan. Gephyraulus tokudai Elsayed n. sp. that develops in the flower buds of Caesalpinia crista L. (Fabaceae) is described here as new to science. A description, illustrations, and ecological features of the new species are given. In addition, a molecular phylogenetic analysis including the new species, G. zewaili and G. lycantha, each from a different host plant family, indicated that Gephyraulus is a polyphyletic genus.

A gall midge species (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) associated with flower buds of Melicope triphylla (Lam.) Merr. (Rutaceae) was found on Ishigaki Island, southwestern Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Morphological examination and molecular analysis indicated that it is an undescribed species of the genus Pseudasphondylia Monzen (Cecidomyiidae: Cecidomyiinae: Asphondyliini). The species is herein described as Pseudasphondylia ishigakiensis Elsayed sp. n. and notes on its life history are reported. In addition, a molecular phylogenetic analysis based on a fragment of COI mitochondrial gene comparing the new species with other known Pseudasphondylia in Japan was conducted to confirm the species distinctness.

An integrated geophysical survey using land magnetic and ground penetrating radar (GPR) methods was conducted to investigate the archaeological findings and ancient cultural relics at an undiscovered 100 m × 60 m in Tal-Baltus in El-Sadat city, Menofia Governorate, Egypt. The study area at Tal-Baltus was chosen among several archaeological hills in the Menofia governorate due to its archaeological significance in the Greco-Roman history of Egypt. The total area was first surveyed using the magnetic method, and then two small promising sites within this area were selected for the GPR survey. The obtained magnetic results showed the presence of remarkably high anomalies with different shapes of irregular geometry. Therefore, they are interpreted as ruins of old storage rooms related to an ancient harbor-shaped structure. Besides, numerous scattered pillars and column heads were also delineated and matched with remains of granite blocks in abundance in the study area, taking the same trend as the delineated magnetic anomalies. In addition, the GPR results highlighted several hyperbolas with variable amplitudes and sizes, which have been interpreted as the shallow foundation of a potential ancient harbor made of limestone. The comprehensive interpretation of the integrated magnetic and GPR surveys strongly suggests that the study area may be a part of an ancient harbor in addition to some other ancillary room-shaped structures used for cargo storage purposes and scattered portions of walls and pillars dating back to the Greco-Roman era.
