<P>The first simple-cubic liquid crystal was obtained by coating monodisperse Au nanoparticles (NPs) with a thick corona of amino-substituted organic dendrons. This unusual structure was determined by grazing-incidence diffraction and electron density reconstruction and explained by analyzing the radial density profile of the corona. It is a important problem that the adjustment of a rural settlementas a unit of rural community, and many number of researcher tackled its. The aim of this paper is to verificate the process of rural con-struction, that is applied the regional resources, and to introduce the situation of attending inhabitants, and their employments as a results of this planning. We chose Odaira hamlets in Oomama town, it is located in Gunma prefecture as an object of this study. Odaira is a small village in the mauntain, and it is composed only 135 families. Odaira is an underpopulated hamlet. It is engaged no lively farming and forestry. Most of inhabitants are commuting to the cities around here. Inhabitants of Odaira who are conscious of the conditions of declining hamlet organized a group to improve it. This group have investigated all around the hamlet as a system of workshop. And they found the resources for sight-seeing, crops as the regional products, and other resources for rural planning under three keywords ; resources for the sight-seeing, the rigional products, and theimprovement of environments. In many resources, most important thing was the existens of a stalactite cave come down as a legend from old time. Local government of Oomama town and the inhabitants tried to explorate of stalactite cave and succesed to excavate it. They have constructed two facilities for management, parkaround the stalactite cave and these have been a new place of work for inhabitants. Arrangement of the rural constructions developed to other items schemed acording to the master plan, like as a camping ground, bungalows, a wet botanical garden, and a park beside a river. These also produced the new places of work for 54 people as a result of this rural planning. The most of them were the aged peoples and the women of farmer. The highest age was 83 years old, he is working at the camping ground. In the employment system at Odaira, people who desire to work and desire to employ both registrate to a commission of management of Odaira, and this commission arrange them in case of needs.
Measurement of the Permeability in a Ferrite Core by Superimposing Bias Current

In this study, we investigate measurement of the magnetic permeability in a ferrite core at RF frequencies when bias current is superimposed on an RF signal with a view to adaptively controlling performance of RF transformers using ferrite cores. A measurement arrangement used comprises a short microstrip line (MSL) circuit including a coaxial conductor (CC) structure consisting of an electrically grounded metal pipe, a center conductor and a sample between them. A bias tee network is incorporated into this MSL-CC circuit in order to superimpose direct current on an RF signal. Using this arrangement, a dependence of permeability on an amplitude of superimposed bias current was measured at frequencies of 10 MHz to 500 MHz. Reliability of the measurement results is discussed based on several experimental data, implying that the method has an accuracy less than 10 % at most of the above frequencies.
Adaptive Compensation Method for the Temperature Dependence of RF Transformer Isolation

In this study, we propose an adaptive compensation method for the temperature dependence of RF transformer isolation and present results of preliminary experiments. First of all, we examine the isolation temperature dependence of an RF transformer designed as a splitter, by means of both an electromagnetic simulation technique and experiments, to show the significance of the present issue. Then, we discuss the nature of a transformer core so as to obtain the most desirable isolation characteristics against a temperature change. Finally, in order to adaptively compensate for the isolation variation due to temperature, we propose a bias current superimposed on the RF signal, where the current amplitude is adjusted according to temperature change, and demonstrate the results of preliminary experiments conducted at a fixed temperature, but with different bias currents, indicating the validity of the proposed method.

A hydrophobic ionic liquid including an amino moiety ([DiOcAPmim][NTf<sub>2</sub>]) was synthesized. Its extraction behaviors towards Pd(II), Ru(III), Rh(III) were investigated in nitric acid aqueous solution as a function of contact time, effect of concentration of nitric acid, effect of temperature, and effect of co-existing metal ions. The extraction kinetics of Pd(II) was fairly fast and extraction equilibrium can be attained within only 5 min under the [HNO<sub>3</sub>] = 2.05 M. When [HNO<sub>3</sub>]< 1 M, the extraction percentage of Pd(II), Ru(III), Rh(III) were all above 80%. When [HNO<sub>3</sub>] reached 2 M, all of the extraction percentage decreased and in an order of Pd(II)>Ru(III)>Rh(III). When [HNO<sub>3</sub>]> 2 M, the extraction performance gradually recovered. The effect of temperature can slightly affect the extraction performance of Pd(II). Furthermore, in simulated high-level liquid waste, [DiOcAPmim][NTf<sub>2</sub>] showed a better preference towards Pd(II) under the interference of various other co-existing metal ions.

The Japanese economy experienced an unprecedented period of high economic growth for almost 20 years from 1955 to 1973. During this time, regional economic policies including infrastructure development and small business measures were implemented in outlying regions to reduce regional disparities. However, during the economic bubble that arrived in the 1980s, the economic gap between Japan’s three major metropolitan regions and the other regions of Japan widened, and the nation entered an urban-centered economy. Afterward, the three major metropolitan areas suffered a major shock when the economic bubble burst, compared to which the economic slowdown in the outlying regions was mild. However, these phenomena have not been analyzed scientifically. This study analyzed the factors in the economic gap due to the currently ongoing urban-centered economy for phenomena from fluctuations in the rate of GDP growth. The fluctuations in the rate of GDP growth were examined by applying wavelet interpolation to GDP data for each region from 1955 to 2010. The results, judging from the behavior of the maximum peak velocity (MPV) of GDP in urban and rural regions, showed that the MPV of GDP was clearly larger in the bubble period than in the period of high economic growth in urban areas, and this social phenomenon is conjectured to have produced the continuation of the urban-centered economy and the disparities with rural regions.
