        LCC 분석을 통한 도시가스와 지열 냉 난방설비의 경제성 평가

        The purpose of this study is economic analysis of heating and cooling systems that are using gas, geothermal energy through life cycle cost analysis. The adapted research method selected the office building in Seoul region. The building is 15 stories and have total floor area of 270,000㎡. And the capacity of heating and cooling system applied in new building is 700RT to 750RT as a scale of heating and cooling system that can provide same capacity. The Adapted LCC Analysis period on 40 years. Comparing and analyzing life cycle cost about each heating and cooling system in cases, economical evaluation is estimated. The results are as follows: 1) The total life cycle cost of gas heating and cooling system is approximately 7,979million won, the total life cycle cost of geothermal heating and cooling system is approximately 8,073million won. 2) The cost of the geothermal heating and cooling system is higher than gas heating and cooling system about 1.18%. Thus, optimal plan is the gas heating and cooling system.

        InGaZnO transistor based on porous Ag nanowire-functionalized gate electrode for detection of bio-relevant molecules

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We report on InGaZnO (IGZO) thin film transistors (TFTs)-based bio-chemical sensors which can detect the chemical/biological species. As novel sensing platform, the IGZO TFT with Ag nanowire (NW) mesh showed pronounced output voltage changes responding to all analytes of H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>, b-<SMALL>D</SMALL>-glucose, <SMALL>D</SMALL>-glucono-1,5-Lactione, and lactic acid, which are reproducible and reversible. Herein, porous Ag NW-functionalized top gate electrode plays a major role in sensing platform for enhanced sensing capability in aqueous medium. Moreover, these top gate geometry serve as a stable backplane for electrical modulation. As a result, analytes solutions become acidic or basic and such pH alterations induce significant turn-on voltage shifts on our devices. For implementation of a resistive load inverter, the output sensing voltage signals can be directly extracted, and such signals are reproducible and reversible.       • Uncertainties of satellite-derived surface skin temperatures in the polar oceans: MODIS, AIRS/AMSU, and AIRS only

        <P><p><strong>Abstract.</strong> Uncertainties in the satellite-derived surface skin temperature (SST) data in the polar oceans during two periods (16-24 April and 15-23 September) 2003-2014 were investigated and the three data sets were intercompared as follows: MODerate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer Ice Surface Temperature (MODIS IST), the SST of the Atmospheric Infrared Sounder/Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit-A (AIRS/AMSU), and AIRS only. The AIRS only algorithm was developed in preparation for the degradation of the AMSU-A. MODIS IST was systematically warmer up to 1.65 K at the sea ice boundary and colder down to −2.04 K in the polar sea ice regions of both the Arctic and Antarctic than that of the AIRS/AMSU. This difference in the results could have been caused by the surface classification method. The spatial correlation coefficient of the AIRS only to the AIRS/AMSU (0.992-0.999) method was greater than that of the MODIS IST to the AIRS/AMSU (0.968-0.994). The SST of the AIRS only compared to that of the AIRS/AMSU had a bias of 0.168 K with a RMSE of 0.590 K over the Northern Hemisphere high latitudes and a bias of −0.109 K with a RMSE of 0.852 K over the Southern Hemisphere high latitudes. There was a systematic disagreement between the AIRS retrievals at the boundary of the sea ice, because the AIRS only algorithm utilized a less accurate GCM forecast over the seasonally varying frozen oceans than the microwave data. The three data sets (MODIS, AIRS/AMSU and AIRS only) showed significant warming rates (2.3 ± 1.7 ~ 2.8 ± 1.9 K decade<sup>−1</sup>) in the northern high regions (70-80° N) as expected from the ice-albedo feedback. The systematic temperature disagreement associated with surface type classification had an impact on the resulting temperature trends.</p> </P>

        Titanium nitride thin film as a novel charge collector in TCO-less dye-sensitized solar cell

        <P>A titanium nitride (TiN)-based dye-sensitized solar cell is developed where TiN is used as a charge collector and TCO-less glass as a substrate. A nanocrystalline TiO<SUB>2</SUB> film was deposited onto a TCO-less glass substrate using the radio frequency (r.f.) magnetron sputtering method and capped with a TiN film with a thickness of ∼66 to ∼167 nm, which was controlled by varying sputtering time. The crystal structure of TiN layers is analyzed using XRD, chemical bonding nature and composition (TiN<SUB>0.95</SUB>) were confirmed by XPS and RBS, respectively. Cross-sectional scanning electron microscopic images confirmed the columnar structure of TiN films. Electrical resistance is exponentially decayed and approaches 4.4 Ω as the TiN film thickness increases up to 167 nm. The photovoltaic property is significantly influenced by the TiN film thickness. The energy conversion efficiency increases from 3.3% to 6.8% with increasing the TiN film thickness from 66 nm to 86 nm, where an increase in fill factor from 0.33 to 0.64 is mainly responsible for the efficiency improvement. The highest efficiency of 7.4% is obtained with a 136 nm-thick TiN film and declines to 5.8% at 167 nm, resulting in a one order of magnitude retarded diffusion rate of I<SUB>3</SUB><SUP>−</SUP>. A long-term stability test was performed for 1000 h and compared with a cell with pure Ti metal. The TiN-based cell maintains an efficiency of 84% after 1000 h, while the efficiency of the Ti-based cell is degraded by ∼34%, indicating that TiN is more stable than Ti in the TCO-less dye-sensitized solar cell.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>A titanium nitride material was used as a charge collector for the first time in the TCO-less dye-sensitized solar cell.         Relationship between G-protein ${\beta}$3 Subunit C825T Polymorphism and Citalopram Responses in Korean Patients with Major Depressive Disorder

        This study aimed to determine the relationship between the C825T polymorphism in the G-protein ${\beta}$3-subunit (GNB3) gene and the response to citalopram in a Korean population with major depressive disorder (MDD). Citalopram was administered for 8 weeks to the 84 MDD patients who completed this study. All subjects were examined using the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV, and the severity of depression was assessed using the 21-item Hamilton Depression Rating (HAMD-21) scale. A main effect of an interaction of genotype with time on the decrease in the HAMD-21 score during the 8-week study period was not found. ANOVA revealed no significant effects of the GNB3 C825T polymorphism on the decrease in the HAMD-21 score at each time period. Although the C825T polymorphism of the GNB3 gene may affect the pathogenesis of MDD, our results do not support the hypothesis that this polymorphism is involved in the therapeutic response to citalopram in Korean patients with MDD.

        저자들은 1996년 9월부터 11월 사이에 가톨릭대학교 성가병원 신경외과 중환자실에서 다약제 내성을 보이는 F. adoratum 4 예가 다발성으로 분리되었음을 인지하였다. Flavobacterium adoratum 은 그람 음성 간균으로 이 균에 의한 임상적으로 유의한 감염증례는 전세계적으로 보고된 예가 매우 드물며 국내에서도 현재까지 보고된 예가 없었기 때문에, 이에 저자들은 국내 최초로 보고하는 바이다. 저자들은 역학적 조사를 실시함과 동시에 분자역학적 형별로서 infrequent restriction site polymerase chain reaction (IRS-PCR)을 사용하여 분자수준에서 이 균주들의 일치성 여부를 분석하였다. IRS-PCR 결과 이들 네 균주 모두 동일한 균주임을 증명할 수 있었다. 역학적 조사상 감염원을 규명하지는 못했으나 형별 성적을 토대로 볼 때, 한 균주가 여러 환자들에게 다발적으로 전파되었음을 추정할 수 있었다. F. adoratum에 의한 감염질환은 발생 빈도가 드물지만 다약제 내성의 경향을 보이는 균주라는 점에서 앞으로 주요한 병원 감염균 중 하나로서 주목해야 할 대상이라고 생각한다.

        Development of a New Electrode for Micro-Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) using Ti(C,N)-based Cermet

        Ti(C,N)-based cermets were recently designed for tool applications as they offer enhanced interfacial strength. These cermets exhibit a typical core/rim microstructure, as found in conventional cermets. To determine the possibility of using these new cermets as electrodes for electrical discharge machining (EDM), Ti(C,N) with carbides, nitride, solid-solution carbonitride such as (Ti,W)(C,N), and Ni were milled together, and sintered to manufacture an electrode to drill a micro-hole in a stainless steel thin plate (SS304) using micro-EDM. A commercial WC (tungsten carbide) electrode was selected to compare its machining capability with that of the homemade cermet electrode. To ensure a fair comparison of cutting performance, the optimal machining conditions for commercial WC, cermet, and the homemade cermet electrode were obtained using the Taguchi method and Grey relational analysis. Experiments under Taguchi and Grey relational optimal conditions showed excellent machining performance using the new homemade cermet electrode.

        Modification of ASC1 by UFM1 Is Crucial for ERα Transactivation and Breast Cancer Development

        <P><B>Summary</B></P> <P>Biological roles for UFM1, a ubiquitin-like protein, are largely unknown, and therefore we screened for targets of ufmylation. Here we show that ufmylation of the nuclear receptor coactivator ASC1 is a key step for ERα transactivation in response to 17β-estradiol (E<SUB>2</SUB>). In the absence of E<SUB>2</SUB>, the UFM1-specific protease UfSP2 was bound to ASC1, which maintains ASC1 in a nonufmylated state. In the presence of E<SUB>2</SUB>, ERα bound ASC1 and displaced UfSP2, leading to ASC1 ufmylation. Polyufmylation of ASC1 enhanced association of p300, SRC1, and ASC1 at promoters of ERα target genes. ASC1 overexpression or UfSP2 knockdown promoted ERα-mediated tumor formation in vivo, which could be abrogated by treatment with the anti-breast cancer drug tamoxifen. In contrast, expression of ufmylation-deficient ASC1 mutant or knockdown of the UFM1-activating E1 enzyme UBA5 prevented tumor growth.         Will Middle-Aged Korean Women Buy Jeans Again?

        The purpose of the study was to investigate jean consumption among middle-aged Korean women and the characteristics of consumers as potential jean consumers. The data were collected from the survey of 238 Korean women aged 45 to 64 years old. The respondents prefer outlet store to other retail outlets and wear jeans mainly for travel, grocery shopping, and outing. The main reason for not wearing jeans is body change, which leads to poor fit in abdomen and waist area. The sample was clustered into two groups based on interest in jeans: high-interest and low-interest group. From the examination of group differences, the high-interest group rated conformity/brand reputation, scarcity, and attractiveness of appearance significantly higher compared to the low-interest group among the five clothing benefits pursued. No difference was found in obesity and body satisfaction. Group differences were found in recent purchase, price, number of jeans owned, and frequency of wearing jeans. The results suggest the characteristics of the potential jean market among middle-aged women in Korea. Implications are discussed.
