This paper proposes a wire-actuated position sensor for navigation control of a mobile robot. It provides human-robot interface that allows to control intuitively the movement of mobile robot to follow the user. The wire-actuated position sensor is composed of position sensing module, angle sensing module, and a wire. The wire is wound inside the sensor, and it released when the user pulls the wire to his/her side. Then, the sensor measures the distance from the sensor to the end of the wire and angle between the axis toward the front of the sensor and the wire. The distance and angle represent the position of the user with respect to the sensor attached coordinate, and these are used to control the moving trajectory of the robot to follow the recognized position of the human. We designed and fabricated the sensor prototypes and conducted experiments to evaluate the performance of the sensor. The experimental results show that the maximum measurement error was less than 2.5% of the measured distance and 3° for entire measurable range of the sensor.

측만지증는 경미한 선천성 기형으로 주로 새끼손가락이 옆으로 굽게 되는 것을 말한다. 이는 주로 상염색체 우성유전으로 나타나며, 일반적으로 그 빈도는 2~5%대로 매우 낮으나 다양한 유전질환이 동반되었을 때는 보다 높은 빈도로 관찰되기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 가계도 조사를 통해 측만지증의 빈도와 형태를 조사하고, 유전양상을 알아보았다. 기저 유전질환이나 선천성질환이 없는 100가구 (382명)를 관찰한 결과, 18명 (4.7%)에서 측만지증이 관찰되었다. 모두 양측성이었고 여성 (6.8%)에서 남성 (2.6%)에 비해 높게 나타났으나 통계학적인 유의성은 없었다 (p=0.056). 측만지증이 나타난 5가구 중 4가구에서 상염색체 우성형태의 유전양상을 보였으며, 나머지 한 가구에서는 특징적인 유전형태를 보이지 않았다. 본 연구를 통해 한국인에서 측만지증의 빈도와 양상, 그리고 유전형태를 확인하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 앞으로 측만지증에 대한 관심과 인식이 고조되어야 하겠다. Clinodactyly, as rare congenital malformation, refers to a curvature of a digit in a radial or ulnar direction in the coronal plane. The abnormality is inherited as an autosomal dominant trait. And its frequency was low, however, it was higher by accompanying other congenital anomaly. In present study, the frequency and genetic characteristics of clinodactyly were investigated. In 100 family (382 peoples), clinodactyly was found in 4.7% (n=18). All clinodactyly were bilateral and it was more frequent in female (6.8%) than male (2.6%), without statistical difference (p=0.056). Its inheritance was autosomal dominant trait in 80% (4/5) families, however, one family did not have any inheritance pattern. We described the frequency and clinical implication of clinodactyly, and this description will be lead to an improved understanding of its spectrum and inheritance.

A novel concept of subsonic airfoils, which have low losses and wide operating ranges, has been developed for use in Industrial Gas Turbine. The airfoils are optimized through parametric study for having benefits in high-Reynolds number. The design process is carried out by the in-house airfoil generator and the Quasi-3D blade-to-blade solver. First the solver has been validated using well-known experiments in subsonic compressor cascade. Then, the new airfoils have been designed, which cover a wide range of inlet flow angle, Mach number, and flow turning. It turns out that the new airfoil has a superior performance than typical Circular Arc Airfoils or Control Diffusion Airfoils. This is because the diffusion distribution of the new airfoil in High-Reynolds number is adequately enhanced. It is expected that compressor efficiency and surge margin would be improved, if the Enhanced Diffusion Airfoils are used.
한의 복합 치료가 어깨 관절경 수술 후 급성 통증에 미치는 영향: 후향적 관찰연구

Objectives The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of integrative Korean medicine on acute postoperative pain after arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Methods This study was conducted in a retrospective observational way. Patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into integrative Korean medicine-treated group (IKM group) and no integrative Korean medicine treated-group (No IKM group). The primary outcome was the difference in the amount of change in pain intensity. The secondary outcome was the difference in pain intensity, opioid consumption over time, and the number of adverse events after surgery. Results The change of numerical rating scale for pain intensity from baseline to IKM group was 3.09±2.12, while 2.64±1.80 in no IKM group, and the difference of change between two groups was statistically significant (p<0.05). Difference in the use of opioid between two groups over time after surgery was also statistically significant (p=0.000). Conclusions The results of this study suggest that integrative Korean medicine can be effective for acute postoperative pain after arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Metal diaphragm is widely used for hydrogen pressure vessel. and it is very important about fatigue and fracture field because it has a reciprocating motion. Therefore, it is necessary to obtain fatigue characteristic and reliability about the material of diaphragm. The objective of this study is to estimate the diaphragm’s mechanical property and fatigue characteristic by 25kN Elastomer testing equipment. This test was implement on the 50㎐ and R(stress ratio)=0.1 and acquired S-N curve for each stress level conditions. From the test, fatigue limit cycle satisfies the condition of 356.93㎫
