        The Relationship among Chatbot’s Characteristics, Service Value, and Customer Satisfaction

        Purpose - The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the chatbot's characteristics (ease of use, social presence, playfulness, usefulness) on service value, customer satisfaction and reuse intention when consumers purchased fashion products in the mobile shopping environments. Research design, data, and methodology – Data were collected from Korean consumers from ages 20 to 59 who have experienced using chatbot in a mobile shopping for fashion products. After a pilot survey to 53 customers, the preliminary questionnaire was revised for the final test, and the final questionnaire was administered to 1500 customers. Out of these, 300 were collected. After deleting 48 incomplete ones, 252 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. Frequency analysis and exploratory factor analysis using SPSS 23.0 and confirmatory factor analysis and structure equation analysis using AMOS 18.0 were employed for data analyses. Results - First, four factors were extracted for the chatbot's characteristics: ease of use, social presence, playfulness and usefulness. Second, regarding the effect of chatbot's characteristics on service value when purchasing fashion products in the mobile shopping environment, ease of use, playfulness and usefulness of chatbot significantly affected service value. Social presence did not have significant effects on service value. Third, in terms of the effect of the chatbot's characteristics on customer satisfaction when purchasing fashion products in the mobile shopping environment, social presence, playfulness and usefulness of chatbot significantly had an effect on customer satisfaction. Ease of use did not have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Fourth, service value of chatbot when purchasing fashion products in mobile shopping environment was found to have an effect on customer satisfaction with chatbot. Fifth, service value of chatbot on reuse intention when purchasing fashion products in the mobile shopping environment was found to have an effect on reuse intention of chatbot. Sixth, customer satisfaction with chatbot had a significant impact on the reuse intention of the chatbot when purchasing fashion products in the mobile shopping environment. Conclusions - The present study provide dimensions on the chatbot’s characteristics and these may provide helpful data for further studies in this area and for marketers as well.

        When the PM in diesel engine out gas are loaded in a DPF system, the DPF filter is needed to regenerate. To find a regenerative solutions, this study describes the effects of catalyst coating quantity on NO₂ conversion and BPT(balance point temperature) characteristics. And the regenerative performance tests for plasma burner are conducted. As a result, the active DPF system with a plasma burner will be a useful method to regenerate the DPF filter especially at low exhaust temperature.

        Fungi Associated with the Traditional Starter Cultures Used for Rice Wine in Korea

        The ‘Nuruk’ starter culture has been used for many years in the fermentation of rice wine in Korea. In present study, mycobiota in Nuruk cultures was identified by performing morphological, physiological, and phylogenetical analyses. Mucorales was the most common mycobiota in Nuruk,followed by yeast and Aspergillus. The composition of fungal species in Nuruk was different among samples and did not correlate with the geographical location from where the Nuruk culture was manufactured. For more detailed identification, 174 filamentous fungal strains were isolated from 39 Nuruk samples. Although the morphological and molecular analyses showed that the strains were identical at the genus level, some discordance was identified between species. Of the 174strains, 160 showed thermotolerance, and the level of thermotolerance matched the clade generated by phylogenetic analysis. Six genera (Lichtheimia, Aspergillus, Rhizopus, Rhizomucor, Mucor, and Syncephalastrum) and 17 fungal species were identified. Among the genera, the genus Syncephalastrum had not been previously identified in Nuruk cultures, and the isolate was identified as Syncephalastrum racemosum. Two genera, Lichtheimia and Aspergillus, comprised approximately 84% of the filamentous fungal isolates from the Nuruk samples, and Lichtheimia ramosa and Aspergillus oryzae were the most commonly found species. The controversy regarding the presence of mycobiota in Nuruk starter cultures was addressed, and results showed that Nuruk contains unique mycobiota not yet found in other Asian starter cultures.

        We analyze the in-plane natural vibration of a stepped disk by the FEM using 1-dimensional annular plate element of which the elementary mass matrix and stiffness matrix are derived, respectively, from the virtual work by effective forces and the virtual strain energy by using the static deformation modes obtained from an integration of the differential equilibrium equations of the annular plate element as interpolation functions. The in-plane natural vibration characteristics of a full disk of two-step thickness are analysed. By comparing its results with the results obtained by utilizing 2-dimensional 8-node quadrilateral plane elements and cyclic symmetry of the disk, the efficiency and accuracy of the 1-dimensional annular plate element are verified.

        As soot particles are loaded in a diesel particulate filter, the filter should be regenerated periodically or continuously in the exhaust system. For the passive DPF system with catalysts, chemical reactions make a continuous regeneration of the filter. But the use of this fully passive DPF system is practically limited to high engine loads condition. Especially for the low engine loads driving pattern, there is no regeneration method in the passive DPF system. The active DPF system with a burner is an attractive alternative because the regeneration of the filter at all the engine condition could be possible. This study describes the development of the active DPF system using a plasma assisted burner regeneration considering the stability of flame, efficiency of the burner and control logic of the system. Engine bench tests are performed to verify these performances of the burner system. Results from these tests show that increased exhaust gas temperature leads to faster regeneration. Also high efficiency of the plasma assisted burner is shown.
