        Air-jet looms represent a major step in the development of shuttleless weaving because of their ability to weave a wide range of yarns at high speeds. Air-jet weaving involves inserting a pre-measured length of yarn through the wrap shed by means of compressed air. The analysis of air flow characteristic of the main nozzle and acceleration tube is necessary to loom performance. We examined the effect of the main nozzle with different acceleration tube as well as diameter. And also, we compared to the performance of straight type tube and laval type tube.

        From December 17th, 2001 to January 5th, 2002, the clinical study was carried out I case of patient with herpes zoster, who has been hospitalised in the Dept. of E.N.T medicine. College of Oriental Medicine, Taejon University, Taejon, Korea. The result were like below: 1. Herpes zoster virus is developed by depression of immune reaction reactivate on dorsal root ganglion. Specialy herpes zoster occured on lumbar is called Junoh-whadan in oriental medicine. 2. Herpes zoster' pathogenetic is clasifiedclasified JunGiNaSang(情志內傷), BiSilGunUn(脾失健運), QiHulUngChe(氣血凝滯). 3. Step of herpes zoster' symptom is erythema, papula, vesicle, pustule, scab. 4. Herpes zoster' pathogenetic was clasified JunGiNaSang(情志內傷) is used for Ong-Dam-Sa-Gan-Tang(龍膽瀉肝湯), incipient symptom was used venesection, UhBangJa(牛蒡子) dressing, exposure of Infra-red.

      • 심한 척추변형(측만증 및 후만증)에 대한 척추 후방 절제술

        ■ Purpose To report a technique of vertebral column resection through a single posterior approach and its first results in the treatment of severe spinal deformities. ■ Methods and materials Seventy spinal deformity patients treated by posterior vertebral column resection(PVCR) were reviewed. Minimum follow up was 2 years (2 - 3.3 years). There were 34 males and 36 females with a mean age of 27.4 years at the time of the operation. Etiologic diagnoses were adult scoliosis in 7, congenital kyphoscoliosis in 38, and post-infectious kyphosis in 25. The surgery consisted of temporary stabilization of the vertebral column with segmental pedicle screw fixation, resection of the vertebral column at the apex of the deformity via the posterior route followed by gradual deformity correction and global fusion. ■ Results The total number of resected vertebrae were 143; 76 in thoracic and 67 in lumbar. Mean operation time was 4 hours 31 minutes with average blood loss of 2333 ml. The deformity correction was 40o in the coronal plane and 5Oo in the sagiotal plane. Complications were encountered in 24 patients: 2 complete cord injuries in severe adult scoliosis and thoracic kyphosis patient who had significant preoperative cord compromise, 6 hematomas, 4 root injuries (all incomplete), 5 fixation failures, 2 infections and 5 hemopneumothoraxes. ■ Conclusions PVCR is an effective alternative for severe fixed spinal deformities. However, extreme caution must be taken in the patients with preoperative cord compromise who are the high risk of neurological complications.

      • LP-MOCVD 방법으로 성장한 InGa As/GaAs의 DCXD에 의한 조성과 임계두께에 관한 연구

        We have grown InGaAs single layers on GaAs by LP-MOCVD(Low Pressure Metal-Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition) method. We have investigated the lattice constants, strain relaxation, and critical layer thickness of a ?? layer by double crystal x-ray diffraction. The correlation between the In composition in epitaxial ?? and In gas composition was determined by rocking curve analyses. The critical layer thickness and In composition were determined to be 600Å for 0.115 and 400 Å for 0.183, respectively, assuming that the In gas compositions are 0.150 and 0.243. Beyond the critical layer thickness the transition from the strained to the relaxed state occurs more rapidly as the thickness increases.

      • 센서 융합을 이용한 자율이동로봇의 위치추정

        Accurate position estimation is required for mobile robot navigation. To estimate current position, mobile robot uses sensors. As one sensor or two sensors system is insufficient to estimate accurately, it is necessary to use sensor fusion method. Mobile robot can obtain redundant and complementary information by using sensor fusion method. It is possible to estimate current position more accurately than one sensor or two sensors system. Sensor fusion system is composed of vision sensor, ultrasonic sensors and encoder sensor. Personal computer and interface board control three different sensors. Extended Kalman Filter(EKF) method using three different sensors is proposed for sensor fusion. The validity of the proposed sensor fusion method is proved by experimental results in indoor environment.

      • 남극지역의 대기오염 측정체계 구축을 위한 기초조사

        From January through February 2000, the SO_2. NO_2, and VOCs (Volatile organic compounds) concentrations were measured at the total 15 sites (between 6213S and 6214S, between 5846W and 5848W) around the King Sejong Station located in King George Island. The badge type of SO_2 and NO_2 passive diffusion samplers impregnated with 5% Na_2CO_3 and TEA, respectively and VOC passive samplers including activated carbon filter were used. The samplers brought back to the laboratory were analyzed with IC or GC after extracting by distilled pure water, H_2O_2, or CS_2. Considering that the concentration level of each compound analyzed are very low in Antarctica, the blanks and instrumental detection limits were also determined. The blanks of SO_2 and NO_2 sampler were found to be 0.63 ppb and 0.49 ppb, respectively. Measured concentrations range from <LOD to 1.58 ppb for NO_2 and from <LOD to 0.44 ppb for SO_2. For ten species of VOCs investigated, on the other hand, most of compounds except for toluene and benzene could not be detected because of extremely low concentrations below the instrumental detection limits. Measured concentrations range from <LOD to 0.96ppb for toluene and from <LOD to 0.22 ppb for benzene. Although the concentrations of most gaseous contaminants investigated are observed to be very low, our results clearly show that anthropogenic emissions at King Sejong Station affect the concentrations of several of these compounds. The limited but valuable data presented in this study will be helpful to establish the systematic air monitoring system in the near future.

        본 논문는 인터넷의 발달로 가능해진 가상 현실 속의 학습자료들을 Web 상에서 음향, 동영상, 에니메이션등을 함께 정리하여 인터넷을 통한 멀티미디어학습자료를 개발함으로써 학습자의 편의를 도모함과 동시에 사용자들이 자발적인 학습에 몰입할 수 있게 연구하였다.컨텐츠는 우리의 전통의상인 한복으로 시작하였고 한복과 함께 기본적으로 갖추어야할 예절을 학습할 수 있도록 연구하였다. 이 사이버 한복 학습시스템은 한복에 대한 컨텐츠로서 현 초, 중 고등학교의 교육정보 시스템에 적용하여 사이버 학습을 가능하게 하고 다른 컨텐츠로 확장을 함으로써 사이버교육을 가능하게 하고 교육현장에서 역동적인 교육을 지원하기 위한 시스템으로 사용할 수 있도록 연구하였다.

      • 분절간 척추경 나사 고정과 척추전이법을 이용한 특발성 척추 측만증의 치료

        Objective : To report the clinical result of segmental pedicle screw fixation and translation technique in surgical correction of idiopathic scoliosis. Methods and materials : Ten idiopathic scoliosis. patients treated with segmental pedicle screw fixation and translation technique were analyzed retrospectively. The mean follow-up interval was 23.8months, with a minimum of 12 months. Eighteen structural curves were fused in one double curves(King type Ⅰ), seven double thoracic curve(King type Ⅴ) and two thoracolumbar curve. Deformity correction, apical vertebral rotation(AVR), apical vertebral translation(AVT), trunk balance, shoulder balance and complications were evaluated. Result : The structural curve was corrected from 47.4±10.6° to 20.3±5.9° at 1week after surgery and 55.6±14.1° at latest follow-up. AVR was corrected from 2.06±0.4 to 0.94±0.41 at 1week after surgery and latest follow-up. AVT was improved from 25±15.7㎜ to 11.5±7.3㎜ at 1week after surgery and 12.3±7.3㎜ at latest follow-up. There were no trunk imbalance(less than 10㎜ distance from C7 plumb line), no shoulder imbalance(less than 10㎜ shoulder height difference) and no screw related complications. Conclusions : The segmental pedicle screw fixation and translation technique is an effective method in treating for idiopathic scoliosis.
