Fabrication technology continues to improve with the development of the vehicle industry. With these improvement, technology is continuously developed accordingly in various fields. Inspection equipments are used for manufacturing research and development. It is also used to check vehicle in service. There is a variety vehicle inspection. To prevent vehicle accident, to prevent modified vehicle or non-licensed vehicle, to make sure that our transport environment, to keep our environments clean by providing vehicles emission, and to proprietorship, etc..The most important part of the vehicle inspection is encouraging vehicle inspection, and to locate a faulty vehicle then it lead to repair to prevent an accident. Research internal and external, accident by faulty vehicle is occupies half by brake and tire. And brake ability correctly testable about brake to equipment invitation of excellent performance will prevent by faulty brake. Thus, in this study, to fit on advanced internal reality, we institute dynamic braking inspection equipment testable brake ability on driving state(8~12km/h), then go into correlation of the existing Roller brake system. And after improve characteristic analysis of inspection equipment from problem. So in our research, we used the dynamic braking inspection equipment to test brake ability while in motion, then Roller brake system inspection, and the characteristic analysis of the inspection.

According to vehicle control regulations in 1917, vehicle inspection system of a vehicle in service has been conducted by the transportation safety authority and non-official servicing shops. In advanced country, a vehicle safety inspection system has been conducted according to its real situation. Especially, Japan, Germany and USA etc. make an effort not only the reliability, but also the quality of a safety inspection service by introducing an advanced vehicle inspection system. But, in korea, trying to improve the operation such as the development of a computing system, the automation of inspection equipment and inspection standard service etc. by the transportation safety authority during about 50 years, the existing vehicle safety inspection system has been conducted without the improvement of a special legal and system. In this study, in order to develope and introduce an advanced vehicle safety inspection system, which apply flexibly to new vehicle design technology and consider to the reliability and facility, we try to improve the efficiency of advanced safety inspection methods by comparing exist safety inspection methods with advanced safety inspection methods. And advancing the safety inspection equipment on the base of this study"s result, the purpose of this study make an offer to not only setting the equipment with applicable in inspection center, but also increasing the effectiveness of the vehicle inspection system, withdrawing inconvenience according to inspection a vehicle in service, and optimal servicing a vehicle safety inspection. Especially, up to now, the study on a safety inspection for a vehicle in service after a delivery new vehicle was not sufficient, we provide the fundamental data to a government policy on the base of this study"s result.

Vehicle owner can check Engine, Engine oil, and belt condition to do with the emission by opening the bonnet. However, the safety of vehicle has a direct implication with parts such as Steering system, Wheel and Tires, and Power trans system. They are located in underside of vehicle. To check into defective parts, there needs to be a separate unit such as Pit or Lift. According to CITA guidelines, it is recommended to have Pit or Lift fit up a jack and light, it is required (must have) to have Brake inspection equipment and Head Lamp inspection equipment, while inspection equipment such as, Wheel alignment indicator, Wheel spinner and Wheel play detector is an option. The most important part of vehicle safety inspection item are Underbody Inspection, Braking force Inspection, and Head Lamp Inspection. There are two main parts of Underbody inspection: Pit or Lift. Korea only use Pit Inspection, but developed countries use both with Lift and Pit Inspection depending on the size of vehicle. For an inspection, UVIS Inspection equipment is researched and being developed. Also, Underbody Inspection auxiliary equipment like Wheel play detector, and Underbody hydraulic jack has been adopted to maximize the effectiveness. In this study, we are to ensure the most effective Inspection.

In-used 2-wheel vehicles have been used as important means of transportation, but the exhaust gas management system has been left without any alternative. In particular, some two-wheeled vehicles and no catalyst, 2-stroke engines using a mixture of fuel oil combustion emissions, despite not established acceptance criteria and test system does not provide a comprehensive management system is required. Thus, throughout the country and abroad to do research to establish the appropriate emissions test, and to set emission standards and emissions inspection program to review the feasibility of introducing, through maintenance and repair methods before and after the comparison test was presented.

The method of emission inspection for In-use diesel vehicles has been Engine speed type Lug-down 3mode. This method could bring damage to decrepit vehicles under high speed and High load condition and it could not apply the driving pattern on the road. For these reasons, this study has started to create new emission inspection which is appropriate for Koreas road infrastructure. KD 147 would be applied to Light-duty diesel vehicles from July 2010 after model operations. Therefore, this studies has investigated new emission inspection system for Heavy-duty diesel vehicles, except for Light-duty diesel vehicles.

Korea has operated separately in each periodic vehicle inspection and periodic vehicle check system for efficient management of in-use vehicle. Periodic inspection is a system that for all vehicles, evaluate the suitability of the road driving without the disassembly and maintenance of the vehicle, and periodic check is a system that for the commercial vehicles, through the disassembly and maintenance of the vehicle, implement to ensure the safety and performance of vehicle. However, periodic check has been pointed out steadily because it had slipped into the institutional formal system to weight the economic burden of the public. Therefore, in this study, we would present the suggestion to integrate periodic inspection and periodic check through the analyses on domestic and foreign status of periodic check and the deducting problem. In particular, whereas periodic vehicle inspection has been implementing in all 34 countries member countries on Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD), periodic check has been implementing in japan, only one in the world. So, we compared and analyzed the items of periodic inspection and periodic check, and we presented the suggestion on the integration of two systems. In addition, another purpose in this study is to enhance the vehicle safety and to reduce burden on the public by presenting the compensation plan of the integration of two systems.

Current emission inspection procedure for the diesel vehicle is Lug-down 3 mode. It is effective for high-emitting vehicles as vehicles are inspected under the high-load and high-speed condition, but it has weak points. It does not reflect the traveling pattern such as acceleration or speed reduction, and there is possibility to be manipulated before and after the inspection. In particular, in case of some older vehicles, it makes some damages during the inspection. As it also makes noise and dust, we conduct this research to improve the related problems and examine the new emission inspection.
