기계적 합금화 공정과 가압소결법으로 ($Pb_{1-x}Sn_x$)Te($0\leq{x}\leq{0.4}$)합금을 제조하여 SnTe 함량에 따른 열전특성을 분석하였다. PbTe와 ($Pb_{0.9}Sn_{0.1}$)Te 가압소결체는 각기 $200^{\circ}C$와 $300^{\circ}C$에서 p형에서 n형으로 천이되었으나, SnTe를 0.2몰 이상 함유한 가압소결체는 $450^{\circ}C$까지의 온도범위에서 p형 전도를 나타내었다. Extrinsic 전도영역에서 SnTe 함량이 증가함에 따라 ($Pb_{1-x}Sn_x$)Te 가압소결체의 Seebeck 계수와 전기비저항이 감소하였다. SnTe 함량이 증가함에 따라 (Pb1-xSnx)Te 가압소결체의 최대성능지수를 나타내는 온도가 고온으로 이동하였으며, ($Pb_{0.7}Sn_{0.3}$)Te 가압소결체는 $200^{\circ}C$에서 $0.68\times10_{-3}/K$의 최대성능지수를 나타내었다. Thermoelectric properties of ($Pb_{1-x}Sn_x$)Te ($0\leq{x}\leq{0.4}$) alloys, fabricated by mechanical alloying and hot pressing, were investigated with variation of the SnTe content. For the hot-pressed PbTe and ($Pb_{0.9}Sn_{0.1}$)Te. transition from p-type to n-type occurred at $200^{\circ}C$ and $300^{\circ}C$, respectively. However, the specimens containing SnTe more than 0.2mole exhibited p-type conduction up to 450'C. In extrinsic conduction region, the Seebeck coefficient and electrical resistivity of the hot-pressed ($Pb_{1-x}Sn_x$)Te decreased with increasing the SnTe content. The temperature at which the hot-pressed (Pbl-,Sn,)Te exhibited a maximum figure-of-merit was shifted to higher temperature with increasing the SnTe content The hot-pressed (Pbo ,Sno dTe exhibited a maximum figure-of-merit of $0.68\times10_{-3}/K$ at $200^{\circ}C$.

Objective: This study was designed to assess the clinical effect of traditional Korean medicine on primary biliary cirrhosis.Method: We provided herbal medicine and acupuncture therapy to a 38-year-old male patient who complained about jaundice, itching, and fatigue. During a six-day hospital stay, we checked any changes in symptoms and conducted liver function tests (such as aspartate aminotransferase [AST], alanine aminotransferase [ALT], alkaline phosphatase [ALP], and gamma-glutamyl transferase [GGT], among others) to evaluate any improvement.Results: We observed that herbal medicine and acupuncture therapy appeared to decrease the symptoms of primary biliary cirrhosis. During each hospital stay, the symptoms and liver function test both showed improvement, especially in ALP.Conclusion: Based on the therapeutic results of the six-day hospital stay, we report improved primary biliary cirrhosis symptoms and a decreasing tendency in ALP and GGP levels following treatment with traditional Korean medicine.
한방병원 입원환자의 한약제제 사용에 따른 혈액학적 변화

In this study, we researched the effects of herbal medicine on anemia among 43 patients. Before being given prescriptions, these patients were examined for RBC count, hemoglobin, and hematocrits, which are important in evaluating improvements in anemia. After administering the herbal medicine over two weeks, we rechecked the RBC count, hemoglobin, and hematocrits on a secondary inspection. We compared the primary and secondary tests with respect to age, sex, diseases, the name of the herbal medicine, and the composition of the medicine. The results were as follows. In groups of five or more, the musculoskeletal pain disease group was more improved than the other disease groups on the secondary test. The digestive diseases group was worse than the other disease groups on the secondary test. In the composition of the prescription, herbs that enriched the blood (補血), invigorated the spleen (健脾), and nourished Eum (補陰) were used more than any other herbs for those whose status improved. Among patients who were partially normalized for the secondary test, this applied to men more than women, to patients in the pain group more than those in other disease groups, and to patients with cerebral hemorrhage more than stroke patients. Among patients who were partially normalized for the secondary test, the group taking tangyak herbal medication improved more than the other groups taking powder and pill herbal medications.
혈관내 광음향 영상을 위한 고주파수 초음파 수신 변환기 제작 및 평가

Photoacoustic imaging is a useful tool for the diagnosis of atherosclerosis because it is capable of providing anatomical and pathological information at the same time. A photoacoustic signal detector is a pivotal element to achieve high spatial resolution, so that it should have broadband spectrum with a high center frequency. Since a photoacoustic imaging probe is directly inserted into blood vessel to diagnose atherosclerosis, the total size of the photoacoustic signal detector should be less than 1 mm. The main purpose of this paper is to demonstrate that PVDF can be used as an active material for the photoacoustic signal detector with a high frequency and broadband characteristic. The photoacoustic signal detector developed in this study was a single element ultrasound transducer with an aperture of $0.5{\times}0.5mm$ and the total size of 1 mm. In the design stage, the natural focal depth was adjusted for an effective focal area to cover the region of interest, i.e., 1~5 mm in depth. This was because geometrical focusing could not be used due to the small aperture. Through a pulse-echo test, it was ascertained that the developed photoacoustic signal detector has the -6 dB bandwidth ranging between 40.1 and 112.8 MHz and the center frequency of 76.83 MHz. 광음향 영상은 조직의 형태학적 정보뿐만 아니라 병리학적 정보도 함께 제공할 수 있어 죽상동맥경화증 진단에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 높은 해상도의 광음향 영상을 획득하기 위해서는 광음향 신호를 수신할 초음파 변환기가 고주파수 및 광대역 특성을 가져야만 한다. 또한 죽상동맥경화증 진단을 위해서는 혈관에 변환기를 직접 삽입하여 광음향 영상 신호를 획득해야하기 때문에 그 크기가 1 mm 이하가 되어야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 PVDF 압전 소재를 이용하여 혈관내 광음향 영상을 위한 고주파수, 광대역 특성을 갖는 초음파 변환기 제작이 가능함을 보였다. 개발한 광음향 수신 변환기는 단일소자이며 구경은 $0.5{\times}0.5mm$이고 전체 변환기 크기는 직경이 1 mm이내가 되도록 하였다. 작은 크기로 인해 형태학적 빔집속이 아닌 자연집속 깊이를 조절하여 관심영역(1~5 mm)에서 빔집속이 되도록 설계하였다. 제작한 혈관내 광음향 수신 변환기의 주파수 특성을 펄스-에코 응답실험을 통해 알아보았다. 제작된 변환기는 -6 dB 대역폭이 40.1~112.8 MHz이며, 중심 주파수가 76.83 MHz인 고주파수 및 광대역 특성을 갖는다는 것을 실험적으로 확인하였다.
