        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between the homebody population and self-esteem, interpersonal relations, and loneliness. Methods: In this investigation, quantitative research method was used. Using a descriptive correlation study, an online questionnaire was distributed online to university students in the Seoul and KyongKi areas for data collection. A total of 209 people were recruited during data collection performed with structured questions, both open and closed-ended, which was conducted from August 31 to November 22, 2018. Collected data was analyzed with SPSS version 21.0. Results: First, there is a significant positive correlation between the homebodies and the self-esteem variable. Second, there is an insignificant correlation between the homebodies and both, interpersonal relations and loneliness variables. Third, there is a significant correlation between the hikikomori and all three variables. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it was aimed to find out the necessity of distinct nursing interventions according to the two different groups, homebodies and hikikomori. Because the tendency both groups were showed differently, it is essential for future studies to investigate and instruct appropriate nursing care for them.

      • Exploring a Case for IB DP English B Class Based on Narrative Theory

        This study aims to enhance students’ inquiry in IB DP English B classes. Therefore, the aim is to investigate the instructional design based on narrative theory to facilitate students’ genuine explorations. With the increasing number of IB candidates and accredited schools, there is growing interest in IB education. This study examines the key characteristics and essence of the IB DP in high schools and explores a reorganization plan for the English B unit plan based on Narrative theory. The aim is to move away from traditional education focused on exam preparation and towards a more student-centered approach that fosters self-directed learning, creativity, and critical thinking skills. The introduction of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in public education is seen as an alternative, which leads to a consideration of the required changes in the field of education. Therefore, the aim is to guide students who are pursuing the IB DP to develop their own meaningful interpretations of experiences through the narrative theory in the English B curriculum, enabling them to form and reframe genuine inquiry questions and ultimately progress as lifelong learners capable of crafting insightful inquiries.

        GATA25, a novel regulator, accelerates the flowering time of Arabidopsis thaliana

        Intrinsic and exogenous signals in conjunction precisely regulate the initiation of flowering. Both signals influence flowering time, which is an integral part of plant reproduction. The signals converge through different pathways, and their coordinated action leads to the onset of flowering. Genetic pathways related to the regulation of flowering time are well-known from research into the molecular genetics of Arabidopsis thaliana. Specifically, crucial components of the photoperiodic pathway and floral integrators play a critically significant role in flowering. In this study, we found that GATA25 is a novel transcription factor that accelerates flowering time under long days. GATA25 encodes C-X2-C-X20-C-X2-C conserved cysteine residues of the zinc-finger domain and CCT domain which process photoperiodic flowering and regulate circadian rhythms. Flowering was accelerated by overexpression of GATA25 throughout the Arabidopsis thaliana. In contrast, GATA25 fused to SRDX (SUPERMAN repressive domain X)-motif plants showed delayed flowering. We also demonstrated that GATA25 induced the expression of floral integrator genes and photoperiodic pathway-related genes.       • 내러티브 이론을 활용한 IB DP 영어과 Unit Plan 재구성 적용 방안 탐구

        In a rapidly changing society where new things continually emerge, and past elements resurface, students are adapting to this dynamic flow. However, within this rapidly changing society, some students, due to their preference for platforms with simple content that doesn't demand much time, may experience a lack of reading comprehension. This is evident as some students may not grasp the context of a text, what the author intends to convey, or form their thoughts before swiftly moving on. Therefore, taking into account the perspective that the classroom is a place where teachers and students gather for a mysterious exchange within an advancing culture, this study looks at narrative theory. The aim is to explore the application of narrative theory in the Unit Plan of English B, a course within the DP (Diploma Programme) of the IB (International Baccalaureate) education system at the high school level. Through this, the study aims to focus on drawing out students' thoughts by applying a more advanced cultural perspective within the classroom. The goal of this research is to investigate instructional design based on narrative theory, aiming to facilitate students' genuine inquiries. The study seeks to guide students pursuing the IB DP to develop their own meaningful interpretations of experiences through narrative theory, helping them formulate genuine inquiry questions and ultimately growing into insightful inquirers. The research will examine the key characteristics and essence of the IB DP in high schools, exploring possible ways to reorganize the English B Unit Plan based on narrative theory. 현재의 교육 안에 놓인 학생들에 관해 먼저 주목해 보고자 한다. 현세대의 학생들은 다양한 형태의 미디어에 노출되어있고 익숙한 세대이다. 여기에 한 학생을 예로 들어보고자 한다. 해당 학생은 다양한 매체를 즐기며 초 단위로 되어있는 간단하고 짧은 영상을 큰 의미를 담지 않고 빠르게 넘기며 살펴보는 학생이 있다. 빠르게 변화하는 사회에서 흐름에 의해 많은 새로운 것들이 생겨나고, 이전의 것들이 다시 떠오르기도 한다. 이러한 급변하는 사회 안에 학생 또한 함께 발맞추어 나가며 다양한 매체에 시간이 많이 할애되지 않는 단순한 형태의 플랫폼에 흥미를 느끼는데 이로 인해 일부의 학생들이 어떠한 글을 읽고 자신만의 생각을 가지는 것 이전에 해당 글의 맥락이 무엇이며 저자가 자신의 글을 통해 무엇을 드러내고자 하는지와 같은 문해력 부족 현상이 나타난다고 생각된다. 따라서 우리는 보다 진보된 문화 안에 교실이 교사와 학생이 신비스러운 상호교환을 실행하기 위해 모인 곳이라는 관점에 입각하여 내러티브 이론을 바라보고 학생들의 생각을 꺼내는 교육인 IB 교육과정 중 고등학교 과정인 DP에서 English B 교과의 Unit Plan에 적용해보는 방안을 탐구하고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구의 목표는 내러티브 이론을 기반으로 한 교육 설계를 조사하여 학생들의 진정한 탐구를 촉진하는 것이다. 이에 IB DP를 수행하는 학생들을 내러티브 이론을 활용하여 경험에 대한 자신만의 의미 있는 해석을 개발하도록 안내하여 진정한 탐구 질문을 형성하고 궁극적으로 통찰력 있는 탐구자로 성장할 수 있도록 하는 것에 목적을 둔다. 본 연구에서는 고등학교에서의 IB DP의 주요 특성 및 본질을 검토하고 내러티브 이론을 기반으로 한 English B Unit Plan의 재구성의 적용 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 통해 대학 입학 시험 대비에 중점을 둔 암기식의 전통적 교육에서 벗어나 자기 주도 학습, 창의성 및 비판적 사고 기술을 촉진하는 학생 중심의 접근으로 나아가려고 한다.

        장애에 대한 이슬람의 이해 연구

        There are influences of religion directly or indirectly on people with disabilities in history. The purpose of this study is to find verses of Qur an, and Hadith that record disability and people with disability. In addition, The researcher would like to examine Islam s position on the topic of Is Disability the Result of Sin? and Is Abortion Possible for the Disabled? . For this purpose, the researcher actively used the scriptures of Islam. By examining the Qur an, Islamic scriptures and the Hadith which recorded the words of the Prophet Muhammad, The researcher was able to derive Islam’s stance on these two themes. Islam emphasizes that disability is normal because Allah made everyone diverse when he created the world. However, the Qur an shows that disability was used as a curse on unbelievers. Islam is a religion that has developed religious laws, and has found a number of legal views on abortion in children with disabilities. In summary, they adhere to the ban on abortion, but there are legal schools that allow abortion depending on the duration of pregnancy and the severity of the disability. As such, this study is meaningful in Islamic understandings of disability.

        예비유아교사 시절 유아숲생태교육을 경험한 교사의 숲반 운영주체로서의 삶

        본 연구는 교사의 경험을 이야기형식을 통해 분석, 해석, 의미를 구성하여 이해하는 내러티브 탐구 방법론으로 진행되었다. 연구 내용으로 숲이라는 새로운 장소에서 학급을 운영하는데 있어 유아숲생태교육을 경험한 배경이 어떤 의미인지 알아보았으며, 그 결과 참여자가 예비유아교사 시절을 살아낸 이야기 탐구를 통해 드러난 경험의 의미는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 낯선 교육의 장소가 아이들이 잘 놀 수 있는 공간이라는 확신으로 숲반 교사로서의 몸짓에 보다 익숙하고 낯익게 적응할 수 있었으며, 두번째로 유아숲생태교육을 스스로 경험해보면서 자기 얼굴이 있는 교사로 거듭나게 되었다. 내러티브 탐구를 통한 예비유아교사 시절 유아숲생태교육에 대한 경험의 이해가 한 교사의 이해를 넘어 숲반에서 살아가고 있는 교사에 대한 이해로 확장되기를 기대하며, 숲교육을 실천하는 현직유아교사 뿐 아니라 앞으로 실천해나갈 예비유아교사에 대한 정서적, 교육적 지원에 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다. This study explored the life story of a forest class teacher who experienced early childhood eco-forest education as a pre-kindergarten teacher. To this end, the study employed the methodology of narrative inquiry that analyzes, interprets, and composes the meaning of the teacher’s experience using the format of a story. The challenge of this study was to discover the preparation and experiences required to establish forest education in early childhood classrooms through the experience of an early childhood teacher, with another teacher identity as an operator in the educational arena called “forest.” The result of the study indicated the meaning of the experiences revealed by the stories of the life experiences of the participants as follows. First, a visit to the forest: the path one wants to take; second, gestures and familiarization; and third, the birth of a teacher with a face. It is expected that the understanding of the experience of early childhood eco-forest education as a pre-service teacher through narrative inquiry will expand beyond the understanding of one teacher to the understanding of the many teachers of forest classrooms, and it is expected that it will contribute to the emotional and educational support available to them.
