        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate correlation among sexual knowledge, attitude and Barriers to patient’s sexual health of nursing undergraduate students and to provide objective data to promote sexual health-care. Method: Using a descriptive correlation, 304 nursing undergraduate students were recruited through convenience random sampling from August 1st to December 20th, 2016. Data were analyzed using average, standard deviation, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson’s correlation and Multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS 21.0 program. Results: The correlation between Sexual knowledge and Sexual attitude is statistically significant(r=.289, p<.01). As the level of sexual knowledge is higher, the sexual attitude is more open. And, Sexual knowledge(r=-.307,p<.01) and Sexual attitude(r=.180,p=.002) had a negative relationship with Barriers to patient’s sexual health. Also, Sexual knowledge was the greatest influencing factor on Barriers to patient’s sexual health. Conclusion: This study showed as the level of Sexual knowledge is higher, the Sexual attitude is more open. As the degree of Sexual knowledge is lower, the Sexual attitude is more conservative, and Barriers to patient’s sexual health is more higher. Also, Sexual knowledge is the most influential factor on Barriers to patient’s sexual health.

        Reduced-Intensity Conditioning with Busulfan, Fludarabine, and Antithymocyte Globulin for Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation from Unrelated or Haploidentical Family Donors in Patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in Remission

        To investigate the role of antithymocyte globulin (ATG)-containing reduced-intensity conditioning (RIC) in hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) from unrelated (UD) or haploidentical family donors (HFD), we conducted a phase 2 trial of 237 patients (age range, 16 to 69 years) with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in remission. Patients undergoing UD-HCT (n@?=@?93) or HFD-HCT (n@?=@?59) received RIC comprising busulfan, fludarabine, and ATG, 9@?mg/kg, whereas those undergoing HCT from matched sibling donors (MSD, n@?=@?85) received myeloablative busulfan and cyclophosphamide conditioning or aforementioned RIC with ATG, 4.5@?mg/kg. For graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) prophylaxis, cyclosporine and methotrexate were administered. The median follow-up period was 44.7 months after HCT for 161 survivors. For UD-HCT versus HFD-HCT, there were no significant differences in leukemia recurrence, nonrelapse mortality, relapse-free survival, grades 2 to 4 acute GVHD, and moderate-to-severe chronic GVHD. Furthermore, when the outcomes of UD-HCT and HFD-HCT were combined and compared with those of MSD-HCT, there were no significant differences in leukemia recurrence (3-year cumulative incidence, 30% versus 29%), nonrelapse mortality (3-year cumulative incidence, 7% versus 8%), relapse-free survival (3-year estimate, 63% versus 63%), and grades 2 to 4 acute GVHD (120-day cumulative incidence, 16% versus 13%). Moderate-to-severe chronic GVHD, however, occurred less frequently in UD/HFD-HCT (2-year cumulative incidence, 22% versus 40%; P@?=@?.006). The addition of ATG to conditioning regimen was a significant predictor for less chronic GVHD (subdistribution hazard ratio, .59). In AML in remission, UD/HFD-HCT after ATG-containing RIC achieved leukemia control equivalent to that of MSD-HCT. Despite HLA disparity in UD/HFD-HCT, chronic GVHD occurred less frequently after ATG-containing RIC, suggesting a strong GVHD-modulating effect of ATG.

        Comparison of Natural Resistance-associated Macrophage Protein (NRAMP)1 Expression between Cows with High and Low Milk Somatic Cells Counts

        Studies using natural resistance-associated macrophage protein (NRAMP) identification indicated that cattle could be selected for immunity. Several studies performed on intracellular organisms such as Mycobacterium, Salmonella, Brucella and Leishmania in human and mouse revealed that resistance against these bacteria was dependent on high activity of NRAMP1 in macrophages. However, hardly any researches have been done on Staphylococcus aureus in bovine mastitis, which is an intracellular organism and the main cause of bovine mastitis. The objectives of this study were to establish reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) methods, through which NRAMP1 mRNA expression could be compared and analyzed between mastitis-resistant and -susceptible cows. NRAMP1 gene and its expression were investigated using 20 cows (Holstein Friesian) in Korea. Cows were evenly split into two groups, with and without histories of clinical mastitis. Equivalent numbers of cows were randomly selected from each group. Monocytes were isolated from the bovine peripheral blood of each selected cows and activated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). mRNA was separated from the monocytes and cDNA of NRAMP1 was synthesized and amplified using RT-PCR with amplification of $\beta$-actin as a control. The difference in NRAMP1 expressions of mastitis-resistant (n=10) and -susceptible (n=10) Holstein cows was analyzed. Results demonstrate that resistant cows produced more NRAMP1 mRNA than the susceptible ones, and ratios of NRAMP1:$\beta$-actin expression were higher in resistant cows with or without LPS activation. Therefore, this study could be applied to select bovine mastitis resistant cows before infection based on the expression of NRAMP1.

        N/A Bleeding from esophageal varices is the most, severe complication in patients with cinhosis of the liver and portal hyrpertension. There has never been a uniform concept of emergency management of variceal bleeding because of pitfalls in the medical as well as the surgical therapeutic technics. Endoscopic injection sclerotherapy of esophageal varices is being reevaluated by many physicians because of increasing dissatisfaction with shunting procedures. This is to report the result of the EIS of 12 patients with esophageal varix. Who have been admitted to the department of internal medicine at Han Yang Universitv Hospital. The results are as follows: 1. 12 patients with liver cirrhosis who were proven to have esophaveal varices by esophagoscope were treated by EIS. There were 10 males and 2 females in the age range of 37 to 58 years. 2, Severity of liver cirrhosis was classified by Child method revealed cases in grade II and 7 cases in grade III, The varices were classified by the Sesoko method, revealed cases in moderate (B) and 8 cases in severe (C). Intravenous vasopressin was injected within 10 to 12 hours before EIS and b!ood transfusion was performed, if needed. 5.Solution of 5% sodium morrhuate was iniected into varices and Bovine thrombin was spraid around varices. 11 patients with active bleeding had control of their hemorrhage: 7 cases with first shooting, 3cases with second shooting, 1 case with third shooting. In the one patient without bleeding, esophageal varix was significantly decreased in size after EIS. 7. EIS has advantages such as simple, safe, inexpensive, low complication. 8. EIS is proposed as the emergency treatment of choice for patients with proven bleeding Esophageal varices who do not stop bleeding on conservative treatment.

        Seasonal variation in the biochemical compositions of phytoplankton and zooplankton communities in the southwestern East/Japan Sea

        The macromolecular composition of phytoplankton communities and the proximate composition of zooplankton communities were measured monthly in the southwestern East/Japan Sea from April to November 2014 in order to identify seasonal changes in, and relationships among, the biochemical compositions in both phytoplankton and zooplankton. The carbohydrate content of phytoplankton was highest in June, whereas the protein content was highest in August and lipids were highest in April. Overall, carbohydrates were dominant (53.2 +/- 12.5%) in the macromolecular composition of phytoplankton during the study period. This composition is believed to result from the dominance of diatoms and/or nutrient-depleted conditions. In comparison, the protein level of zooplankton was highest in November, whereas lipids were slightly higher in May than other months. Overall, proteins were the dominant organic compounds (47.9+/-8.6% DW) in zooplankton communities, whereas lipids were minor components (5.5+/-0.6% DW). The high protein content of zooplankton might be related to the abundance of copepods, whereas the low lipid content might be due to a relatively high primary production that could provide a sufficient food supply for zooplankton so that they do not require high lipid storage. A significant positive correlation (r=0.971, n=7, p<0.01) was found between the lipid compositions of phytoplankton and zooplankton during our study period with a time lag, which is consistent with the findings from previous studies. More detailed studies on the biochemical composition of phytoplankton and zooplankton are needed to better understand the East/Japan Sea ecosystem's response to the many environmental changes associated with global warming.

        Regulatory Effects of Siegesbeckia glabrescens on Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Cell Proliferation and Invasion

        Siegesbeckia glabrescens (SG) Makino (Compositae) has been used as a traditional medicine for the treatment of allergic and inflammatory diseases. In the present study, we examined the effects and molecular mechanism of the ethanol extract of SG on cell proliferation and invasion in p53 wild-type A549 and p53-deficient H1299 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells. SG treatment markedly inhibited the proliferation and invasion in both cell lines, independently of p53 expression. The anti-proliferative effect of SG on A549 cells was mediated by the inactivation of Akt and p70(S6K) as evidenced by treatment with LY294002 and rapamycin, respectively. In addition, anti-invasive activity of SG in A549 cells was found to be associated with the inhibition of p70(S6K). In contrast, in H1299 cells the inactivation of p38(MAPK) appeared to be involved in SG-mediated inhibition of cell proliferation and invasion. Collectively, these findings suggest that SG modulates cellular fates such as proliferation and invasion by differential regulation of signaling pathways, depending on the status of p53 expression in NSCLC, and support the development of SG as a potent therapeutic agent for the treatment of NSCLC.

        Microwave losses of undoped n-type silicon and undoped 4H-SiC single crystals at cryogenic temperatures

        We investigated microwave losses of single-crystalline Si and 4H-SiC at cryogenic temperatures at 8.6-24 GHz using a method involving a dielectric resonator with high-T (c) superconductor YBa2Cu3O7-delta films used to improve the measurement sensitivity. The loss tangent of our undoped n-type Si appeared to be extremely low at temperatures below 20 K with a value of 1 x 10(-6) at 24 GHz at 10 K, which is more than 100 times lower than the value of 2 x 10(-4) at 6.8 GHz at 10 K reported by Krupka et al. [IEEE Trans. Microw. Theory Tech. 54, 3995 (2006)] for undoped p-type Si. Meanwhile, the loss tangent of pristine 4H-SiC appeared to be very high with a value of 0.01 at 10 K at 8.6 GHz, which is 4000 times higher than that of our undoped Si. When the pristine 4H-SiC was irradiated with thermal neutrons, the loss tangent was enhanced by seven times due to the significantly reduced electrical resistivity. Our results show that, at temperatures below 20 K, the loss tangent of undoped n-type Si is low enough for various cryogenic applications and that thermal neutron irradiation could provide a useful means of reducing the electrical resistivity of SiC possibly by means of neutron transmutation doping.

        Fe2O3 후막을 이용한 alcohol sensor 제작 및 감응특성

        In order to get low cost and portability, semiconductor gas sensor need to have low operating temperature and high sensitivity. Fe_2O_3 based sensors which were doped with metal oxidecatalysts(MoO_3, V_2O_5, TiO_2, and CdO) were fabricated by screen printing method. To improve electrical stability of sensors, the Fe_2O_3 sensors were annealed in N_2 at 700 ℃ for 2 hours. The V_2O_5 doped Fe_2O_3 sensor showed about 80 ~ 90 % sensitivity at alcohol 1,000 ppm and have good selectivity to hydrocarbon gas and tobacco odors. The fabricated sensor and PIC-chip were employed for portable alarm system.

        황기의 加工方法에 따른 物理化學的 變化

        A physical and chemical changes of Astragalus Root by processing were investigated through the constrictive rate of diameter, loss on dry, extract contents and TLC pattern of ether extract. The constrictive rate of diameter of barked root was 72.8%, non-barked root was 68.8%, when law Astragalus root was dried for 10 days. The time spended to loss on dry 13% from law materials was 7 days in non -barked root, was 4 days in barked root. The extract contents of non-barked root were 20.1% in water extract, 11.5% in 70% ethanol extract and 0.57% in ether extract, and them of barked root were 17.4% in water extract, 11.9% in 70% ethanol extract and 0.60% in ether extract. The differences of Zig-Zag TLC profiles were recognized between non-barked root and barked root.

        Tuberous Sclerosis 의 一例

        The Authors observed a rare cases of tuberous sclerosis in a 18 years old girl. Because of her psychotic symptoms, this patient were consulted to our clinic, even though her seizure were controlled with anticonvulsanr. The several clinical aspect of this case are discussed and the literature are reviewed.
