        This study selects total 1369 including 613 men and 756 women except absent subjects by assigning 10 men and 10 women between teens and forties and 20 men and 20 women in their sixties and seventies who are residing at nine cup and myeon units of rural area in H gun as the subjects of research and as a result of examining and analyzing their physique, physical strength the following conclusions are obtained. 1. Physique of Male and Female Subjects in Rural Areas 1) Height male group, those in their teens and seventies were smaller than those in their fifties, forties, thirties and twenties, female group, those in over their seventies were smaller than those in their sixties, fifties, forties, teens, thirties and twenties(p<.05). 2) Weight: male group, those in their teens weighed less than those in their sixties, fifties, twenties, thirties and forties and, Female group, those in their forties weighter more than those in their sixties and thirties (p<.05). 2. Physical Strength of Male and Female Subjects in Rural Areas 1) Muscular Strength(Left Hand): male group, those in their seventies or more had lower muscular strength than those in their sixties, fifties, twenties, Forties and thirties, female group, those in their sixties had lower muscular strength than those in their teens, fifties, twenties, forties and thirties (p<.05). 2) Muscular Strength(Right Hand): male group, those in their seventies or more had lower muscular strength than those in their sixties, fifties, twenties, forties and thirties, female group, those in their seventies or more had lower than those in their sixties, teens, fifties, twenties, forties and thirties (p<.05). 3) Muscular Endurance: male group, those in their sixties and seventies had lower muscular endurance than those in their Forties, thirties, twenties and teens, Female group, those in their seventies or more, sixties and fifties had lower than those in their forties, thirties, twenties and teens(p<.05). 4). Cardiopulmonary Endurance: male group, those in their teens had higher than those in their twenties, thirties, fifties, sixties and seventies, female group, those in their sixties and seventies had lower than those in their thirties, twenties, forties and fifties (p<.05). 5) Power: both male and Female groups, those in their sixties and seventies had lower than those in their sixties, fifties, forties, thirties, twenties and teens (p<.05). 6) Agility: male group, those in their seventies or more had lower than those in their sixties, fifties, forties, thirties, twenties and teens, female group, those in their sixties had lower than those in their fifties, forties, twenties, teen and thirties (p<.05). 7) Equilibrium: male group, those in their seventies or more and sixties had lower than those in their forties, twenties, teens and thirties, female group, those in their fifties and forties had lower than those in their twenties, teens and thirties (p<.05). 8) Flexibility: male group, those in their thirties and twenties had higher than those in their seventies, fifties, sixties, teens and forties, female group, those in their seventies or more had lower than those in their sixties, thirties, fifties and forties (p<.05).

      • 초등학생들의 태권도 발차기 운동강도 설정

        The purposes of this study are the establishment of Taekwondo kicking's exercise intensity of elementary by cadence and using Taekwondo program for improvement of heart and lung endurance. The panel for the study was composed of 11~12 years old 36 boys, under training in Taekwondo institute, by cluster sampling. Tarket heart rate was measured each 60 seconds after 32 miniutes Taekwondo kicking, 40-60bpm(A type), 50-90bpm(B type), 60-120bpm(C type) by using metronome. The results are as follows. 1. Energy Metabolism by kicking's velocity 1) Heat rate (beat/min) A type : 138.05(b/m), B type : 142.94(b/m), C type : 147.55(b/m) showed significant difference(p<0.001). 2) Ventilation (letter/min) A type : 23.69(1/m), B type : 26.92(1/m), C type : 28.94(l/m) showed significant difference(p<0.001). 3) Oxygen Uptake (letter/min) A type : 0.79(1/m), B type : 0.91 (1/m), C type : 0.92(l/m) showed 4) Respiratory Quotient(R.Q) A type : 0.89(1/m), B type : 0.91 (1/m), C type : 0.96(l/m) showed significant difference(p<0.001). 2. Energy Metabolism at time by kicking's velocity 1) Heat rate (time) A type : 170.5(32min), B type : 176.0(32min), C type : 186.0(32min) showed significant difference(p<0.001). 2) Ventilation (time) A type : 31.6(32min), B type : 37.5(32min), C type : 41.5(32min) showed significant difference(p<0.001). 3) Oxygen Uptake (time) A type : 1.05(32min), B type : 1.22(32min), C type : 1.27(32min) showed significant difference(p<0.001). 4) Respiratory Quotient (time) A type : 1.15(30min), B type : 1.17(30min), C type :1.19(30min) showed significant difference(p<0.001). 5) Exercise Intensity(time) A type : 71.2(32min), B type : 75.4(32min), C type :82.6(32min) showed significant difference(p<0.001). Based on the facts above, the estimation of standard level of Taekwondo kicking's velocity and running time depend on each Taekwondo kicking's velocity and running time. Especially, B type kicking program of 75% exercise intensity for lung endurance improvement, many scholar referred, can use for lung endurance of children.

      • 행동수정요법과 유산소운동이 중년기비만 여성의 혈청지질에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was conducted to investigate the effect of the aerobics exercise and combined with behavior modification therapy on blood lipids level in obese middle-aged women. The 32 obese middle-aged women volunteers over 30% BMI were assigned to the aerobic exercise group(n=8), behavior modification therapy group(n=8), and aerobics exercise and combined with behavior modification therapy(n=8) or to a control group(n=8). To achieve presribed intervention for 16weeks, the experiment groups was bicycle ergometer and behavior modification therapy. Related materials were analyzed through one-way ANOVA, twoway ANOVA, and SNK-Test by using SPSS 10.0/PC+. The results of TC, TG, LDL-C, and % TC/HDL-C was significant decreased in experimental group, and the control group was no significant differences. Four groups were significant differences except to TG and the changes of HDL-C was significant increased in experimental group, and the control group was no significant differences. Four groups were significant differences. In conclusion, this study provides evidence that aerobic exercise, behavior modification, and aerobics exercise & combined with behavior modification is effective in changing blood lipids level in obese middle-agd women during 16 weeks.

      • 간 발생과정에 따른 Metallothionein 발현에 관한 연구

        Metallothionein(MT) is a group of low molecular weight proteins, with a unique amino acid composition such as a large content (approximately 30%) of cysteine residues. The protein has been shown to play a physiological role in the absorption, transport, and metabolism, such as zinc, copper, and cadmium, but its actual functions are still not clear. This study was carried out to examine the expression of MT in developing or growing rat liver through immunohistochemical and RT-PCR method. Positive reactions against MT started to appear predominantly in the parenchmal cells of liver from the 13th day after gestation. Reaction products, or brown colorations, were localized at both the nucleus and the cytoplasm of the parenchymal cells. The intensity of this reaction gradually increased, and exhibited the strongest at birth. The intensity of MT staining diminished with growth, and by the 15th day after birth weak positive reaction was observed in the cells. In brief, positive reactions for MT were observed in the oval cells and the parenchymal cells during fetal stage, meanwhile they were present only in the parenchymal cells after birth. MT mRNA by RT-PCR seemed to be expressed from the 15th day after gestation till 15 days after birth and it was highest in the neonatal rats. These expression pattern showed similar to those that shown in the immunoistochemical results.The present results suggest that MT possibly contributes to parenchyma cell proliferation and differentiation through the storage or the supply of various metal ions in the developing rat liver.

        일부 부인과 양성 질환자의 지방조직 및 혈청의 PCBs와 DDE 농도

        목적 : 본 연구는 지방조직과 혈청의 PCBs와 DDE 농도를 측정하고, 이에 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려진 요인들과의 관련성을 평가하고자 하였다. 방법 : 유방암, 자궁내막증 등 유기염소계 화합물의 영향이 있는 것으로 알려진 호르몬 관련 질병을 제외한 부인과 환자 52명을 대상으로 지방조직과 혈청을 분석하였으며, 설문조사를 통하여 연령, 교육수준, 직업, 비만도, 흡연과 음주, 출산력, 수유력등을 조사하였다. 지방조직과 혈청의 PCBs와 DDE 농도는 가스크로마토그래피를 사용하여 측정하였다. 결과 : 지방조직의 경우, 13개 PCBs congeners 농도의 합은 중앙값이 48.29 ng/g, 기하평균값이 56.78 ng/g이었고, DDE 농도는 중앙값이 142.89ng/g, 기하평균값이 117.06 ng/g이었으며, 혈청의 경우는 PCBs congeners 농도의 합은 중앙값이 4.67 ㎍/L, 기하평균값이 4.85 ㎍/L이었고, DDE 농도는 중앙값이 1.75 ㎍/L, 기하평균값이 2.09 ㎍/L로 나타났다. 지방조직과 혈청의 DDE 농도 사이는 높은 상관성을 보였으나(r²=0.310, p=0,0002), PCBs는 상관성이 약한 것으로 나타났다(r²=0.029, p=0.2582). 영향요인을 범주화한 후 로그변환 시킨 지방조직과 혈청의 PCBs, DDE 평균의 차이를 분석한 결과, 지방조직의 DDE만이 출산자녀수(p=0.015), 초산연령 (p=0.014), 비만지수(p=0.035)와 연관성이 발견되었다 다중회귀분석의 결과 지방조직의 DDE는 출산자녀수가 적을수록, 초산연령이 늦을수록 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 결론 : 출산자녀수와 초산연령, 비만도가 지방조직의 DDE와 관련성을 보였으며, 또한 유기염소계 화합물의 장기간의 노출에 의한 영향을 평가하는데 있어서 혈청보다 지방조직이 더 유용한 생물지표임을 알 수 있었다. Objectives : This study was purposed to determine the levels of PCBs and DDE in adipose tissue and serum and to evaluate the relations with factors affecting these levels. Methods : We analyzed adipose tissues and sera from 52 gynecologic benign disease patients aged 27-78 years, except hormonal diseases such as breast cancer and endometriosis. We also surveyed age, education, occupation, body mass index (BMI), smoking, drinking, number of children, and duration of breastfeeding by questionnaires. Tissue and serum levels of PCBs and DDE were measured using gas chromatography. Results : The median and geometric mean levels of PCBs were 48.29 ng/g, 56.78 ng/g for adipose tissue and 4.67 ㎍/L, 4.85 ㎍/L for serum, and those of DDE were 142.89 ng/g, 117.06 ng/g for adipose tissue and 1.75 ㎍/L, 2.09 ㎍/L for serum, respectively. Adipose tissue and serum levels for DDE showed high correlation (r²=0.310, p=0.0002), but those of PCBs didn't (r²=0.029, p=0.2582). In analyses of the differences of the means of log transformed adipose tissue and serum PCBs and DDE levels for groups of potential covariates, only adipose tissue DDE levels were significantly associated with number of children (p=0.015), age at first birth (p=0.074) and BMI (p=0.035). In multiple regression analysis, adipose tissue DDE levels were significantly increased with decreasing number of children and increasing age at first birth. Conclusions : This study suggested that parity and adiposity were associated with levels of DDE in adipose tissue, and adipose tissue is a better biomarker than serum for evaluating the long-term exposure of organochlorines.

        Synthesis of graphene-wrapped CuO hybrid materials by CO<sub>2</sub> mineralization

        <P>Graphene-wrapped metal oxide hybrid materials are synthesized through inspiration from natural CO<SUB>2</SUB> mineralization. We created hierarchical, nanostructured graphene/metal oxide by converting a CO<SUB>2</SUB>-mineralized graphene oxide/CaCO<SUB>3</SUB> precursor to metal-based minerals such as graphene-wrapped CuO hybrid materials, which highly enhanced the stability and recyclability of the CuO anode for Li ion batteries.         Carboxymethyl cellulose-templated synthesis of hierarchically structured metal oxides

        <▼1><P>Cellulose-templated synthesis: Porous metal oxides were successfully synthesized through a simple and environmentally friendly process using carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) fibers as a sacrificial template.</P></▼1><▼2><P>The synthesis of hierarchically structured metal oxides has been intensively pursued over many years for diverse industrial applications. Here, we report a simple but green approach for the synthesis of metal oxide fibers using carboxymethyl cellulose fibers (CMC). We synthesized 1D hierarchical metal oxides using CMC fibers as a sacrificial template. The electrostatic interaction between metal ions and carboxyl groups in CMC induced the formation of hierarchical structures of binary (<I>e.g.</I>, CeO2, ZnO) and tertiary (<I>e.g.</I>, CaMn2O4) metal oxide fibers.</P></▼2>
