        一部地域 老人들의 主權的 建康水潗에 영향을 미치는 IADL에 관한 硏究

        This research have been made to define how the IADL (Instrumental Activity of Daily Living) performance and the subjective health index of the Aged are affected by their residential circumstance, gender and age, and how deeply these two factors are related and interact. For the period of June 1 to July 31, 2000, we had conducted a questionnaire and direct interview with 693 persons over age sixty-five (65) in Daejon and in other adjacent area, grouping into three different residential types The Aged living at home, The Aged living at welfare facilities and The Aged living alone, and studied on how the IADL performance and the subjective health index of the Aged are influenced and interact as per their characteristics, daily activity and mentality. We had analyzed all the data obtained through this research by the method of : - analysis of frequency as per specific factors by SPSS 10.0/PC+, - x^2 test, - t - test, - ANOVA, - multiple regression analysis by factors. The research concludes followings : a. It appears that the three (3) factors such as gender, age and residential circumstance of the Aged deeply affect the IADL performance and subjective health index of the Aged. (p<0.01) b. With regard to IADL performance of the Aged by the gender, it was analyzed that the female-Aged gains 23.8 point on average, which shows the performance of the female-Aged is less independent. (p<0.01). In addition, it was also found that the IADL performance is becoming less and less independent following their age increasing. In analyzing IADL performance by the residential type, it appears that the Aged living at welfare facilities gains the lowest 21.5 points and is least independent. It was also found that the Aged living at welfare facilities need some assistances from others for their performing IADL. (20-24 point) (p<0.001) c. With regard to the subjective health index of the all-Aged participated in this research, the analysis indicates 8.8 point and this is considered as a point of general standard (7-10 point). In analyzing this index by the gender, the female-Aged gains only 8.6 point which explains a lot of female-Aged consider they are not really healthy. (p<0.001) In analyzing this index by the residential type, the Aged living at welfare facilities and the Aged living alone gain the comparatively lower point, - respectively 8.4 point for the Aged living at welfare facilities and 8.8 point for the Aged living alone. The Aged living at these two residential types express they are obviously in a bad situation of health. (p<0.001) d. With regard to the factors affecting the IADL performance and the subjective health index of the Aged, it was analyzed that the IADL performance can largely be affected by the factors such as depression, frequency of going-out and age rising, and that the subject health index can also deeply be affected by depression, pain and by how much they are satisfied with their current living conditions. e. It was analyzed that the interacting between the IADL performance and the subjective health index is not that strong but even weak. As a result, we were able to conclude that the IADL performances is less independent in case of the female-Aged, the Aged living at welfare facilities, and following the age rising. As for the subjective health state the Aged themselves are aware of, we concluded that the female-Aged, the Aged living at welfare facilities and the Aged living alone, are more critical about their health. From this research, we were able to realize that, when the OMT (Orthopedic Manual Therapy) needed, the physical therapists are really required to have a correct and cautious understanding of the situation in which the aged persons are, and take care of them with more concerns and more improved treatment.

But ship, airplane and car never use the application of the cable communication system and also have a weak point of receiving qualitics using convennntional V/UHF TV broadcasting. One of typically case of mobile systems, a ship has been isolated long time during the navigation. However, For the last couple of years, the DBS have been proposed very useful systrm to access the broading service in more widely sea. But the antenna tracking system for maritime DBS receving is required complicated control system because of the those complex motion represented pitching, yowing and rolling etc. In our research, we have developed the antenna tracking system for receving in mobile.

      • Label-free identification of individual bacteria using Fourier transform light scattering.

        <P>Rapid identification of bacterial species is crucial in medicine and food hygiene. In order to achieve rapid and label-free identification of bacterial species at the single bacterium level, we propose and experimentally demonstrate an optical method based on Fourier transform light scattering (FTLS) measurements and statistical classification. For individual rod-shaped bacteria belonging to four bacterial species (Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli, Lactobacillus casei, and Bacillus subtilis), two-dimensional angle-resolved light scattering maps are precisely measured using FTLS technique. The scattering maps are then systematically analyzed, employing statistical classification in order to extract the unique fingerprint patterns for each species, so that a new unidentified bacterium can be identified by a single light scattering measurement. The single-bacterial and label-free nature of our method suggests wide applicability for rapid point-of-care bacterial diagnosis.</P>

      • Development of Patterned 1D Metal Nanowires with Adhesion Layer for Mesh Electrodes of Flexible Transparent Conductive Films for Touch Screen Panels

        <P>Transparent conductive films (TCFs) are indispensable components for various optoelectronic devices. Recently, the development of flexible TCFs has received attention for applications in flexible and wearable electronics. In this work, we developed silver nanowires (Ag NWs) with a mesh pattern to obtain the optical and electrical properties, as well as flexibility, required for touch screen panels (TSPs). The Ag NW grid pattern was achieved using photolithography by employing a titanium adhesion layer between Ag NWs and substrates to attain a uniform and stable pattern. The transmittance and sheet resistance of patterned Ag NWs were 95% and 88 Omega/square, respectively, and the NWs showed good stability against bending operations for up to 2,000 bending cycles. Moreover, this fabrication process has the advantage of low cost and can be applied to a large-scale devices using a solution process.</P>

      • Cholinergic Control of Pancreatic Secretion: The Effects of Atropine on Plasma Cholecystokinin and Secretin Release

        Generally, it has been known that cholecystokinin (CCK) release into the plasma is under cholinergic control, but secretin release is not. Thus in anesthetized dogs we studied the effect of atropine (50 μg/kg followed by 50 μg/kg/hr) on pancreatic secretion and plasma concentrations of bioactive CCK and immunoreactive secretin in response to intraduodenal perfusion of sodium oleate (1, 3 and 9 mmol/hr). The volume, protein output and bicarbonate output of the secretion were increased by sodium cleats and this oleate-induced secretion was decreased significantly by atropine administration. However the increased plasma CCK and secretin levels by sodium oleate were not changed by atropine. These results indicate that atropine suppressed sodium oleate-induced pancreatic secretion through inhibiting cholinergic mechanism directly rather than decreasing the release of pancreatic secretory hormones. In another set of experiments, bilateral cervical vagi were stimulated electrically to observe the changes of pancreatic secretion and the above two plasma hormone levels in the presence or absence of atropine. In the vagally stimulated dogs, the volume, protein output and bicarbonate output of the pancreatic secretion were increased significantly. Both plasma secretin and CCK were concomitantly released significantly by vagal stimulation. Atropine significantly depressed the pancreatic secretory response as well as the release of these two pancreatic secretory hormones. Therefore, we conclude that in the presence of atropine the depressed pancreatic response to vagal stimulation is at least, in part, due to decreased release of endogenous CCK and secretin. In the vagally stimulated animals, however, the involvement of direct cholinergic influence on pancreatic exocrine gland remains to be answered.

      • Methionine Analogue Probes Functionally Important Residues in Active Site of Methionyl-tRNA Synthetase

        Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases are essential enzymes catalyzing the attachment of specific amino acids to cognate tRNAs. In the present work, the substrate analogue L-methionine hydroxamate was used to identify functional residues located in the active site of the E. coli methionyl-tRNA synthetase (MetRS). This compound inhibited bacteria, yeast, and human MetRS activities to a similar degree, suggesting a conserved active site structure and mechanism between MetRSs of different phylogenetic domains. Mutants of the E. coli MetRS resistant to methionine hydroxamate were also isolated. These mutants contained a substitution either at T10, Y15, or Y94. These residues are highly conserved among the different MetRSs and the mutants showed decreased aminoacylation activity, suggesting their functional and structural significances. The putative roles of these residues are discussed on a structural basis.

        Surgical experience and clinical outcome of traumatic pancreatic injury

        Backgrounds/Aims: Traumatic pancreatic injury is rare and various surgical procedures can be applied according to the severity of injury. We reviewed our experience of pancreatic injury and investigated the clinical outcome. Methods: Fifty-six patients were treated conservatively or with surgery for pancreatic injury at the Department of Surgery, Korea University Medical Center of Korea University College of Medicine from January 2001 to February 2012. Results: Forty-one men and 15 women were included (mean age, 32 years; range, 5-66 years). Twelve patients were hypotensive at admission. According to the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma grade, 15 patients were grade Ⅰ, 16 were grade Ⅱ, 10 were grade Ⅲ, 13 were grade Ⅳ, and one patient was grade Ⅴ. A total of 41 patients underwent exploratory surgery. Complications developed in 35 patients, and 19 patients demonstrated intra-abdominal abscesses associated with pancreatic leakage. Four mortalities occurred. More adult patients (n=42) required intensive care than that of pediatric patients (n=14) (ρ=0.03). However, more pediatric patients had hyperamylasemia at admission (ρ=0.023). A significantly higher proportion of patients in the hypotensive group had blunt abdominal injuries, associated extra-abdominal injuries, combined intra-abdominal injuries, longer ICU stays, and a higher mortality rate. Conclusions: Associated intra-abdominal and extra-abdominal injuries are frequent in patients with traumatic pancreatic injury. Despite the complication rate, most patients recovered. Mortalities were associated with combined injuries being placed into bleeding, hypovolemic shock, and multiorgan failure. (Korean J Hepatobiliary Pancreat Surg 2012;16:160-166)

      • 적출한 고양이 위(胃) 근절편에서 서파의 전파 및 발생빈도에 미치는 Dopamine의 영향

        The effect of dopamine on the propagation and the frequency electrical activities (slow wave) of the stomach was studied in isolated stomach muscle strips of 145 cats, The gastric slow wave monopolarly recorded by four capillary electrodes (Ag-AgCl) in Krebs-Ringer solution (ph 7.4, temperature 36±0.5℃) bubbled with 5% CO<sub>2</sub> in O<sub>2</sub>. Dopamine caused concentration-dependent changes of direction of slow wave propagation with decline in development of irregular propagation by domperidone pretreatment. Dopamine also increased the variation of slow wave frequency concentration-dependently. The variation of slow wave frequency induced by dopamine was significantly inhibited by pretreatment with domperidone and phentolamine but not with propranolol, hexamethonium and tetrodotoxin. It is therefore suggested that dopamine plays a role in the genesis of gastric electrical abnormality acting on dopamine receptors and partly on α-adrenergic receptors in cats. 위(胃) 전기활동(서파)의 전파(傳播) 및 발생빈도에 미치는 dopamine의 영향을 주명하기 위하여 145마리의 고양이를 사용하며 다음의 실험을 실시하였다. 위의 복측부분을 적출하여 종주근의 주행 방향으로 대만쪽에서 길이 5cm, 폭 1.2cm인 근절편을 만들어, 95% O<sub>2</sub>와 5% CO<sub>2</sub>가 계속 공급되는 Krebs-Ringer용액 (PH 7.4, 온도 36±0.5℃)내에 두고 가느다란 은선이 들어있는 모세관 전극 (Ag-AgCl)을 사음하여 단극성으로 서파를 기록하였다. dopamine의 첨가후 위서파의 전파방향은 첨가한 농도에 비례하여 전환이 많아졌으나, dopamine의 영향은 domperidone의 전처치로 유의하게 억제되었다. dopamine은 또한 농도가 증가함에 따라 불규칙한 위서파의 발생만도를 증가시켰으며 이 현상은 domperidone 및 Phentolamine에 의하여 억제되었으나 Propranolol, hexamethonium 및 tetrodotoxin에 의하여는 억제되지 않았다. 그러므로 dopamine은 고양이 위에서 dopamine receptor와 일부 α-adrenergic receptor에 작용하며 이상적(異常的)서파를 발생시킨다고 사료된다.
