As two typical special wettability materials, superhydrophobic and superoleophobic surfaces are the most widely studiedinterfaces because of their excellent water-or oil-repellent ability. However, how to use a simple strategy to obtain thosesurfaces is still a huge challenge. On the other hand, corrosion tend to occur while using metallic materials, resulting in poorperformance of metallic equipment and even serious safety hazards. In this work, a one-step strategy of nanosecond laserablation was presented to construct the microstructures acquired by superhydrophobic and superoleophobic aluminum alloysurfaces. The superhydrophobic and superoleophobic properties of microstructured surfaces were obtained via high temperatureand fluorosilane treatments on laser-processed surfaces, respectively, and the oil-repellent and corrosion resistanceproperties of both substrates were studied. The potentiodynamic polarization test shows that the superoleophobic surfacehad a better corrosion resistance than the superhydrophobic surface, which will provide an effective protection for the barealuminum alloy. Meanwhile, the superoleophobic surface had good chemical stability. It is believed that the nanosecond lasertechnology can offer an effective strategy for constructing the microstructures acquired by large-area superhydrophobic andsuperoleophobic surfaces on aluminum alloy materials.

The stacking fault energy (SFE) of Fe-Mn alloys is studied by first-principles calculations with chemical disorder and order,nonmagnetic (NM) and antiferromagnetic (AFM) configurations. It is found that Mn atom has a short-range effect on bothnonmagnetic and antiferromagnetic stacking faults (SF) plane. Mn atom reduces the intrinsic stacking fault energy (ISFE)and unstable stacking fault energy (USFE) when it is in the vicinity of the SF plane. Short-range effect is 42% in AFM configurationlarger than 12.6% in NM configuration when Mn atom is on SF plane. The phenomenon of generalized stackingfault energy (GSFE) curve and short-range effect are investigated by topological analysis and electron structures respectively. Furthermore, the twinning tendency is proven to be stronger in AFM γ-FeMn with increasing Mn concentration than otherdeformation mechanisms.

Reduced sodium emulsified lamb sausagesproduced using addition of lamb plasma protein wereevaluated for gel properties, sensory attributes, and microstructures. Hardness, cohesiveness, chewiness, redness,yellowness, juiciness, and overall acceptability values ofthe emulsified lamb sausages containing 1.5% sodiumchloride and more than 3% lamb plasma protein weresignificantly (p<0.05) higher than values for sausages with3.5% sodium chloride and no plasma protein. Sensoryattributes indicated that lamb sausages with addition of 4%plasma protein and 1.5% sodium chloride had the greatestoverall acceptability. Matrix morphological characteristicsof sausages were affected by addition of plasma proteinand sodium chloride. Lamb plasma protein enhanced thegel properties of emulsified lamb sausages and improvedthe sensory quality, providing a method to reduce thesodium chloride content of emulsified sausage.
