Liu He-Miao,Zhao Yu-Lian,Cheng Yan-Ming,Wu Jing,Al Shurafa Mahmoud A. M.,Liu Cheng,Lee Il-Kyoo 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.2
For achieving the minimum energy consumption in electrolytic copper process, this paper proposes a power supply optimization strategy based on the improved BP neural network for high-power electrolytic copper rectifying units to eff ectively improve the utilization rate of electric energy, reduce the production cost, and achieve high effi ciency and energy saving. Aiming to operation scenarios including normal operation of rectifi ers, fault of random one rectifi er, fault of random two rectifi ers and number change of electrolytic tanks, the output current of each rectifi er, transformer gears and control angle of thyristor are obtained under these four scenarios by the proposed power supply strategy. The simulation results indicate that compared with BP neural network and PSO optimizing BP(PSO-BP)neural network, the prediction error of power supply strategy of GA optimizing BP (GA-BP) neural network is the minimum. Consequently, the optimal control of the output current of each rectifi er is obtained by using GA-BP neural network, and the stabilized current precision of total output current can be kept at 0.003–0.005, which verifi es the eff ectivity and feasibility of the proposed power supply optimization strategy, which provides valuable guidance and reference for the future design of high-power power supply system in electrolytic copper or other electrolytic metals.

Jing Liu,Jian-an Fang,Zhen Li,Guang He 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2019 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.17 No.6
Event-triggering formation control with multiple leaders in second-order nonlinear multi-agent systems is investigated in this paper. This novel distributed formation control strategy allows the event-triggering condition to be intermittently examined at sampling instants, where the data transmission is driven by an event-triggering control protocol. Based on this strategy, two different formation control protocols are presented. Then, some sufficient conditions are given to ensure the second-order nonlinear multi-agent systems converge to the desired formation shape. Finally, examples are given to show the effectiveness of theoretical results.

Nephrotic syndrome (NS) is associated with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), which is a rare cerebrovascular disorder in children. Systemic anticoagulation with heparin is the standard therapy for CVST, and mechanical thrombectomy (MT) has been described as a salvage treatment for adult anticoagulant refractory CVST, However, it has never been reported in children. We describe a case of MT for refractory CVST in a child with NS. A 13-year-old boy with newly diagnosed NS presented to an emergency department with acute headache. A head computed tomography showed acute thrombus in the superior sagittal sinus, straight sinus and transverse sinus. The child was started on heparin therapy, but clinically deteriorated and became unresponsive. In view of the rapid deterioration of the condition after anticoagulation treatment, the patient received intravascular treatment. Several endovascular technologies, such as stent retriever and large bore suction catheter have been adopted. After endovascular treatment, the patient’s neurological condition was improved within 24 hours, and magnetic resonance venography of the head demonstrated that the CVST was reduced. The child recovered with normal neurological function at discharge. This case highlights the importance of considering MT for refractory CVST, and we suggest that MT may be considered for refractory CVST with NS in children.

Objective: Evidence supports the efficacy of coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA)-based risk scores in cardiovascular risk stratification of patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD). We aimed to compare two CCTAbased risk score algorithms, Leiden and Confirm scores, in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) and suspected CAD. Materials and Methods: This single-center prospective cohort study consecutively included 1241 DM patients (54.1% male, 60.2 ± 10.4 years) referred for CCTA for suspected CAD in 2015–2017. Leiden and Confirm scores were calculated and stratified as < 5 (reference), 5–20, and > 20 for Leiden and < 14.3 (reference), 14.3–19.5, and > 19.5 for Confirm. Major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) were defined as the composite outcomes of cardiovascular death, nonfatal myocardial infarction (MI), stroke, and unstable angina requiring hospitalization. The Cox model and Kaplan–Meier method were used to evaluate the effect size of the risk scores on MACE. The area under the curve (AUC) at the median follow-up time was also compared between score algorithms. Results: During a median follow-up of 31 months (interquartile range, 27.6–37.3 months), 131 of MACE were recorded, including 17 cardiovascular deaths, 28 nonfatal MIs, 64 unstable anginas requiring hospitalization, and 22 strokes. An incremental incidence of MACE was observed in both Leiden and Confirm scores, with an increase in the scores (log-rank p < 0.001). In the multivariable analysis, compared with Leiden score < 5, the hazard ratios for Leiden scores of 5–20 and > 20 were 2.37 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.53–3.69; p < 0.001) and 4.39 (95% CI: 2.40–8.01; p < 0.001), respectively, while the Confirm score did not demonstrate a statistically significant association with the risk of MACE. The Leiden score showed a greater AUC of 0.840 compared to 0.777 for the Confirm score (p < 0.001). Conclusion: CCTA-based risk score algorithms could be used as reliable cardiovascular risk predictors in patients with DM and suspected CAD, among which the Leiden score outperformed the Confirm score in predicting MACE.

Matrine, a main active component extracted from dry roots of Sophora flavecens, has been reported to exert antitumor effects on A549 human non-small lung cancer cells, but its mechanisms of action remain unclear. To determine effects of matrine on proliferation of A549 cells and assess possible mechanisms, MTT assays were employed to detect cytotoxicity, along with o flow cytometric analysis of DNA content of nuclei of cells following staining with propidium iodide to analyze cell cycle distribution. Western blotting was performed to determined expression levels of Bax, Bcl-2, VEGF and HDAC1, while a microarray was used to assessed changes of miRNA profiles. In the MTT assay, matrine suppressed growth of human lung cancer cell A549 in a dose- and timedependent manner at doses of 0.25-2.5 mg/ml for 24h, 48h or 72h. Matrine induced cell cycle arrest in G0/G1 phase and decreased the G2/M phase, while down-regulating the expression of Bcl2 protein, leading to a reduction in the Bcl-2/Bax ratio. In addition, matrine down regulated the expression level of VEGF and HDAC1 of A549 cells. Microarray analysis demonstrated that matrine altered the expression level of miRNAs compared with untreated control A549 cells. In conclusion, matrine could inhibit proliferation of A549 cells, providing useful information for understanding anticancer mechanisms.

This paper addresses the problem of time-varying formation tracking for a kind of second-order multiagent systems with a switching topology, in which the dynamics of agents are modeled by double integrators and harmonic oscillators respectively. The control input of each agent is subject to saturation. First, depending on the low-gain state feedback technique, an algorithm is designed to solve semi-global time-varying formation tracking problem, where feasibility condition of formation tracking is introduced. Then, by utilizing the Lyapunov function and low-gain feedback theory, it is proved that second-order multi-agent system with a switching topology achieves the specified semi-global time-varying formation tracking if some sufficient conditions hold. Further, as an extension, jointly connected switching topology is considered, and the corresponding formation tracking problem is also explored. Subsequently, several simulation examples is worked out for illustration.
The DNA Repair Gene ERCC6 rs1917799 Polymorphism is Associated with Gastric Cancer Risk in Chinese
Liu, Jing-Wei,He, Cai-Yun,Sun, Li-Ping,Xu, Qian,Xing, Cheng-Zhong,Yuan, Yuan Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.10
Objective: Excision repair cross-complementing group 6 (ERCC6) is a major component of the nucleotide excision repair pathway that plays an important role in maintaining genomic stability and integrity. Several recent studies suggested a link of ERCC6 polymorphisms with susceptibility to various cancers. However, the relation of ERCC6 polymorphism with gastric cancer (GC) risk remains elusive. In this sex- and age-matched case-control study including 402 GC cases and 804 cancer-free controls, we aimed to investigate the association between a potentially functional polymorphism (rs1917799 T>G) in the ERCC6 regulatory region and GC risk. Methods: The genotypes of rs1917799 were determined by Sequenom MassARRAY platform and the status of Helicobacter pylori infection was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Odd ratios (ORs) and 95% confidential interval (CI) were calculated by logistic regression analysis. Results: Compared with the common TT genotype, the ERCC6 rs1917799 GG genotype was associated with increased GC risk (adjusted OR=1.46, 95%CI: 1.03-2.08, P=0.035). When compared with (GT+TT) genotypes, the GG genotype also demonstrated a statistical association with increased GC risk (adjusted OR=1.38, 95%CI: 1.01-1.89, P=0.044). This was also observed for the male subpopulation (GG vs. TT: adjusted OR=1.71, 95%CI: 1.12-2.62, P=0.013; G allele vs. T allele: adjusted OR=1.32, 95%CI: 1.07-1.62, P=0.009). Genetic effects on increased GC risk tended to be enhanced by H. pylori infection, smoking and drinking, but their interaction effects on GC risk did not reach statistical significance. Conclusions: ERCC6 rs1917799 GG genotype might be associated with increased GC risk in Chinese, especially in males.
