Delay-Dependent Robust H∞ Control for Uncertain Fuzzy Markovian Jump Systems
Yashun Zhang,Jihui Zhang,Shengyuan Xu 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2009 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.7 No.4
This paper is concerned with the problem of delay-dependent robust H∞ control for uncertain fuzzy Markovian jump systems with time delays. The purpose is to design a mode-dependent state-feedback fuzzy controller such that the closed-loop system is robustly stochastically stable and satisfies an H∞ performance level. By introducing slack matrix variables, a delay-dependent sufficient condition for the solvability of the problem is proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities. An illustrative example is finally given to show the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method.
Edge covering coloring of nearly bipartite graphs
Jihui Wang,Xia Zhang,Guizhen Liu 한국전산응용수학회 2006 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.22 No.1-2
Let G be a simple graph with vertex set V (G) and edge set E(G). A subset S of E(G) is called an edge cover of G if the subgraph induced by S is a spanning subgraph of G. The maximum number of edge covers which form a partition of E(G) is called edge covering chromatic number of G, denoted by 0 c(G). It is known that for any graph G with minimum degree , − 1 0 c(G) . If 0 c(G) = , then G is called a graph of CI class, otherwise G is called a graph of CII class. It is easy to prove that the problem of deciding whether a given graph is of CI class or CII class is NP-complete. In this paper, we consider the classification of nearly bipartite graph and give some sufficient conditions for a nearly bipartite graph to be of CI class.
Effects of gas flow on particulate deposition in EGR coolers
Xun Zhang,Jihui Li,Zhiqiang Han,Xunshun Wu,Wei Tian 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.1
This paper presents the test approach to investigate the effects of gas flow rate on particulate deposition inside the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) coolers. The tests were carried out on a diesel engine equipped with the EGR cooler that a given total gas flow rate passed through and that contained pluggable exchanger tubes to adjust the flow rate in the tubes. Test results show that under the given coolant temperature and EGR gas temperature, the lower flow rate in the exchanger tube is and the longer tubes are, the more particulate with D p > 50 nm deposit in the cooler. With the given total gas flow rate passing through the cooler, the lower flow rate in the exchanger tube is and the longer tubes are, the larger deposit mass is inside the cooler. In the cases of longer tubes, the effects of gas flow rate on the deposit mass are depends on the effects of gas velocity on the particulate deposition, rather than the effects of flow rate on the particulate number passing through the heat exchanger tube per minute.
MULTIPLICITY OF SOLUTIONS FOR QUASILINEAR ELLIPTIC EQUATIONS WITH CRITICAL EXPONENTIAL GROWTH
Fang, Yanqin,Zhang, Jihui The Korean Society for Computational and Applied M 2011 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.29 No.5
In this paper we consider a system of N-Laplacian elliptic equations with critical exponential growth. The existence and multiplicity results of solutions are obtained by a limit index method and Trudinger-Moser inequality.
Filled Skutterudites: from Single to Multiple Filling
Xi, Lili,Zhang, Wenqing,Chen, Lidong,Yang, Jihui The Korean Ceramic Society 2010 한국세라믹학회지 Vol.47 No.1
This paper shortly reviews our recent work on filled skutterudites, which are considered to be one of the most promising thermoelectric (TE) materials due to their excellent power factors and relatively low thermal conductivities. The filled skutterudite system also provides a platform for studying void filling physics/chemistry in compounds with intrinsic lattice voids. By using ab initio calculations and thermodynamic analysis, our group has made progresses in understanding the filling fraction limit (FFL) for single fillers in $CoSb_3$, and ultra-high FFLs in a few alkali-metal-filled $CoSb_3$ have been predicted and then been confirmed experimentally. FFLs in multiple-element-filled $CoSb_3$ are also investigated and anonymous filling behavior is found in a few specific systems. The calculated and measured FFLs, in both single and multiple-filled $CoSb_3$ systems, show good accordance so far. The thermal transport properties can be understood qualitatively by a phonon resonance scattering model, and it seems that a scaling rule may exist between the lattice thermal resistivity and the resonance frequency of filler atoms in filled system. Even though a few things become clear now, there are still many unsolved issues that call for further work.

In this paper, we study the following p&q-Laplacian problem with critical Sobolev and Hardy exponents {$-{\Delta}_pu-{\Delta}_qu={\mu}\frac{{\mid}u{\mid}^{p^*(s)-2}u}{{\mid}x{\mid}^s}+{\lambda}f(x,\;u)$, in $\Omega$, u=0, on $\Omega$, where ${\Omega}\;{\subset}\;\mathbb{R}^{\mathbb{N}}$ is a bounded domain and ${\Delta}_ru=div({\mid}{\nabla}u{\mid}^{r-2}{\nabla}u)$ is the r-Laplacian of u. By using the variational method and concentration-compactness principle, we obtain the existence of infinitely many small solutions for above problem which are the complement of previously known results.
Clinical Biomarkers of Neurodegeneration in REM Sleep Behavior Disorder
Junying Zhou,Jihui Zhang,Siu Ping Lam,Xiangdong Tang,Yun Kwok Wing 대한수면연구학회 2015 Journal of sleep medicine Vol.12 No.2
Rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (RBD) is currently considered as a prodromal stage of α -synucleinopathies neurodegeneration. The update data suggested that over 80% patients with idiopathic RBD eventually developed neurodegenerative disease after a mean of 14 years interval from the onset of RBD. A series of potential biomarkers have been identified to predict the development of neurodegeneration in idiopathic RBD, including olfactory loss, color vision deficit, depression, mild cognitive impairment, excessive daytime sleepiness, dopamine dysfunction, and tonic EMG activity. Early recognition of the predictive markers of neurodegeneration in idiopathic RBD is essential for development of intervention or prevention strategies at the presymptomatic stage. Nonetheless, the current literature is lacking biomarkers that might reflect the α-synuclein neuropathology at the earliest stages. Future studies with large samples and systematic follow-up are needed to confirm more potential markers of neurodegeneration at its early stages.
