This research was conducted to determine existing differences and/or life-styles if any, in the lives of those who participate in dance related exercise programs. The research was conducted on 201 subjects who were selectively narrowed down from Dance and Recreation Centers that are in the city of Seoul and in other cities in the vicinity. In 1992 Ahn Young-pil, Cho Jae-ho, and Cho Man-tae conducted similar researches with resources taken from Chae Suh-il's. Basic Questionnaire and Plummer's AIO Classification System. Appropriate modifications were made to develop surveys based on those formerly used by these men to better serve the research at hand. Factor analysis, Cronbach's a, descriptive analysis, K-Means throng analysis, breakup analysis and Chi Square black methods were used to gather information for this research. Other methods were also used along with those specifically mentioned above to come to the following conclusion regarding the existing differences in the lifestyles of those who participate in dance related exercise programs. First of all, there is a noticeable difference in the life-style of each and every individual depending on the individual. Secondly, depending on each individual's participation level, there is a definite difference in the individual's lifestyle as well. Furthermore, those who are more likely to be prone to depression have lower participation levels. And those who are more accomplishment oriented and have motivation for life in general have much higher participation levels. In conclusion, each individual who participates in dance related exercise programs are different.
Optical Dipole Trap without Inhomogeneous ac Stark Broadening

We use a three-level structure of the $6S-6P-6D$ states of cesium atoms to build an optical trap where the $6S_{1/2}$ and the $6P_{3/2}$ states have the same ac Stark shift. There is no inhomogeneous broadening of the $D2$ transition inside the optical trap. The loading rate is increased as a result of improved Doppler cooling. However, the loss rate also increases, and there is no large gain in the number of trapped atoms compared with that of an optical trap with large inhomogeneous broadening. The lifetime and the temperature of the optically trapped atoms also do not depend critically on the broadening of the $D2$ resonance.
Adsorption of methane on porous metal carboxylates

Porousmetal carboxylates such as MIL-101 (Cr-terephthalate), MIL-100-Cr (Cr-trimesate) and MIL-100-Fe (Fe-trimesate) with very high porosity have been tested as potential adsorbents for methane storage materials. The MIL-101 shows one of the highest adsorption capacities for methane. The adsorption capacity per weight increases with increasing BET surface area or micropore volume irrespective of the structure, type of metal ions such as Cr3+ and Fe3+. This result suggests that the porous adsorbent for methane should have high porosity rather than special adsorption sites or structures.

Quercetin is a natural plant flavonoid that has been reported to possess a wide range of beneficial health effects, including anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory activities. Glycosylation of natural flavonoids with various sugar moieties can affect their physical, chemical, and biological properties. In this study, quercetin 3-O-xyloside (Quer-xyl) was enzymatically synthesized, and the immunomodulatory activities of quercetin and Quer-xyl were evaluated and compared. The results showed that Quer-xyl more effectively induced the secretion of TNF-α and IL-6 than quercetin by 2.5 and 1.5-fold, respectively. Quer-xyl dose-dependently induced the inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) expression and increased the production of nitric oxide (NO) 1.3-fold more than quercetin. Quer-xyl also increased the phosphorylation of ASK1 and MAPKs (JNK and p38). Treatment with NQDI-1 (an inhibitor of ASK1) significantly attenuated the Quer-xyl-induced up-regulation of TNF-α secretion. The activation and subsequent nuclear translocation of NF-κB were substantially enhanced upon treatment with Quer-xyl (2.5–20 μM), while NQDI-1 treatment blocked the nuclear translocation of NF-κB. These results demonstrated that Quer-xyl can enhance the early innate immunity more effectively than quercetin by activating macrophages to secrete TNF-α and IL-6 through up-regulation of the redox-dependent ASK1/MAPK/NF-κB signaling pathway, suggesting for the first time that Quer-xyl may represent a new immunostimulator.

Ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) is a highly valued herbal medicine that has been traditionally used to prevent or treat diverse medical disorders. Polysaccharides isolated from ginseng have been shown to exhibit various biological activities, including immune modulating, anti-diabetic, anti-cancer, and anti-obesity properties. However, the ginseng-derived oligosaccharides was rarely explored. In this study, we investigated the anti-cancer activity in A549 human lung cancer cells of ginseng polysaccharides (MW. 11.605 kDa) and its lower-molecular weight oligosaccharide (GOS, MW. 2.2 kDa) prepared by enzymatic degradation. The results showed that GOS dose-dependently reduced the cell viability of the A549 cells, with an approximately 55% reduction at 500 μg/ml, while GPS did not affect the cell viability. The GOS-induced A549 cell death was mediated by induction of cell cycle arrest at the sub.G1 (apoptotic) phase. GOS treatment also induced DNA fragmentation, depolarization of MMP, and reduction in Bcl-2 and pro-caspase-3 expression levels. Moreover, the anti-cancer effects of GOS were related to the MAPK signaling pathway, as evidenced by significantly decreased phosphorylation of ERK. These results clearly demonstrated for the first time that GOS inhibits the A549 human lung cancer cell growth via induction of cell cycle arrest and stimulation of mitochondria-dependent apoptotic cell death through inhibition of MAPK pathway. These findings suggested that GOS may have a strong therapeutic potential for the treatment of human lung cancer.

Background: There are no guidelines for the optimal incubation time or temperature to improve pregnancy outcomes in testicular sperm extraction-intracytoplasmic sperm injection (TESE-ICSI) cycles. We aimed to evaluate whether a 24-hour in vitro culture of testicular spermatozoa affects pregnancy outcomes in TESE-ICSI cycles. Methods: This was a retrospective study of 83 TESE-ICSI cycles using testicular spermatozoa in 46 couples with male partners suffering from nonobstructive or obstructive azoospermia. Sperm retrieval was performed either on the oocyte retrieval (OR) day (65 cycles in 33 couples; group A) or on the day before OR (18 cycles in 13 couples; group B) followed by in vitro culture for 24 hours. The clinical characteristics and pregnancy outcomes, including the number of retrieved oocytes, fertilization rates, embryo transfer rates, implantation and clinical pregnancy rates, were compared between the two groups. Results: There were no differences in terms of clinical characteristics except for the levels of luteinizing hormone (LH) in males. Group B had higher LH levels than group A (4.56±1.24 IU/L vs. 3.67±1.07 IU/L, p=0.017). Group B showed higher fertilization rate (72.4%±32.1% vs. 59.2%±21.7%, p=0.045), implantation rate (35.0%±34.1% vs. 14.0%±21.5%, p=0.010), pregnancy rate per cycle (80% vs. 39%, p=0.033), and clinical pregnancy rate per cycle (80% vs. 37.5%, p=0.024) than those of group A. Conclusion: Testicular sperm retrieval performed on the day before OR followed by in vitro culture can potentially improve pregnancy outcomes.

Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis is a severe autoimmune paraneoplastic syndrome associated with ovarian teratomas. Most patients develop neurologic symptoms, including psychosis, memory deficits, seizures, or abnormal movements, and experience abdominal pain related to ovarian neoplasm. We present a case report of three patients diagnosed with anti-NMDAR encephalitis accompanied by ovarian teratomas at Ajou University Hospital in Korea. The patients demonstrated a different clinical course of the disease. However, upon diagnosis, all patients underwent surgical removal of the ovarian teratoma followed by intensive immunotherapy. The symptoms progressively improved following treatment. This is a case report of a rare autoimmune anti-NMDAR encephalitis associated with ovarian neoplasms, including immature teratoma.
