This study aims to furnish the basic empirical data to differentiate image of professional sports channels of broadcasting stations through more efficient operation strategies image managing plan, and the operation of the communication media of the broadcasting stations by looking through the relationship between the credibility of professional sports channels of three broadcasting stations, channel satisfaction and loyalty. The study conducted a research survey through convenience sampling method aimed at college students n Seoul and Gyeonggi area, who currently are the media receivers. Total of 424 copies were selected as the final validity sample. For the measuring instrument, precedent studies of Kim Hyun-Joo(1998), Kim Eun-Sung(2003), Kim Soo-Kyung(2005), Lee Jeoung-Hak, Kim Jong-Hoon & Noh Jae-Hun(2007), Park Ran Hee(2008), Jo Gun Jin(1998) were used and reconstructed according to this research. The research target scope was limited to professional sports channel casters, MBC SPORTS+(Hu Goo-Youn), KBSN Sports(Ha Il-Sung), SBS ESPN(Park No-Jun) who are the commentators of the professional sports channels of three broadcasting stations. The result of the study showed there were significant differences between the sub-factors of commentators`` credibility, ``expertise``, ``trustworthiness``, ``popularity``, ``dynamic`` and professional sports channels of three broadcasting stations. And ``expertise``, ``trustworthiness`` sub factors influenced significantly on it. On the basis of the results, professional baseball casters with more professionalism and trustworthiness are needed in able to gain more credibility from the public.

Despite the strong influence of the gut microbiota on atherosclerosis, a causal relationship between atherosclerosis pathophysiology and gut microbiota is still unverified. This study was performed to determine the impact of the gut microbiota on the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis caused by genetic deficiency. To elucidate the influence of the gut microbiota on atherosclerosis pathogenesis, an atherosclerosis-prone mouse model (C1q/TNF-related protein 9-knockout (CTRP9-KO) mice) was generated. The gut microbial compositions of CTRP9-KO and WT control mice were compared. Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) was performed to confirm the association between gut microbial composition and the progression of atherosclerosis. FMT largely affected the gut microbiota in both CTRP9-KO and WT mice, and all transplanted mice acquired the gut microbiotas of the donor mice. Atherosclerotic lesions in the carotid arteries were decreased in transplanted CTRP9-KO mice compared to CTRP9-KO mice prior to transplantation. Conversely, WT mice transplanted with the gut microbiotas of CTRP9-KO mice showed the opposite effect as that of CTRP9-KO mice transplanted with the gut microbiotas of WT mice. Here, we show that CTRP9 gene deficiency is related to the distribution of the gut microbiota in subjects with atherosclerosis. Transplantation of WT microbiotas into CTRP9-KO mice protected against the progression of atherosclerosis. Conversely, the transplantation of CTRP9-KO microbiotas into WT mice promoted the progression of atherosclerosis. Treating atherosclerosis by restoring gut microbial homeostasis may be an effective therapeutic strategy.
Beneficial Role of Ginseng Saponin on Hemodynamic Functions of Porcine Blood Vessel

The previous reports have showed that ginseng saponins, which are the active ingredients of Panax ginseng, cause the relaxation of artery that are contracted due to a various of hormones or potassium ($K^+$). Recently, we also showed that ginsenosides differentially regulate channel activity. The purpose of this study was to examine whether ginseng saponins affect contraction induced by $K^+$, serotonin (5-HT), or acetylcholine (Ach) in porcine coronary vessel. Treatment with concentrations of ginseng saponins caused a relaxation of 25 mM KCl-induced porcine coronary artery contraction. Also, ginseng saponin induced a significant dose-dependent relaxation of $3\;{\mu}M$ 5-HT-induced porcine coronary artery with the endothelium. In the porcine artery with the endothelium, ginseng saponins induced a relaxation by $3\;{\mu}M$ 5-HT in a concentration-dependent pattern. Ginseng saponins induced relaxation of both 25 mM KCl- and $3\;{\mu}M$ 5-HT-induced coronary artery contraction in the absence and presence of the endothelium. In contrast, treatment with $100\;{\mu}g/mL$ ginseng saponin did not induce relaxation in coronary artery contraction induced by Ach ($0.01\;{\mu}M$ to $30\;{\mu}M$) in the presence of the endothelium, but did cause significant relaxation of coronary artery contractions by Ach ($0.01\;{\mu}M$ to $30\;{\mu}M$) in the absence of the endothelium. These findings indicate that ginseng saponin (> $100\;{\mu}g/mL$) significantly inhibits porcine coronary artery contractions caused by $K^+$, 5-HT, and Ach. Therefore, in this study, we demonstrated that ginseng saponin may show beneficial roles on abnormal coronary contraction.

<P><B/></P><P>Growth hormone (GH) is a counter-regulatory hormone that plays an important role in preventing hypoglycemia during fasting. Because inhibition of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDC) by pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 4 (PDK4) conserves substrates for gluconeogenesis, we tested whether GH increases PDK4 expression in liver by a signaling pathway sensitive to inhibition by metformin. The effects of GH and metformin were determined in the liver of wild-type, small heterodimer partner (SHP)-, PDK4-, and signal transducer and activator of transcription 5 (STAT5)-null mice. Administration of GH in vivo increased PDK4 expression via a pathway dependent on STAT5 phosphorylation. Metformin inhibited the induction of PDK4 expression by GH via a pathway dependent on AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and SHP induction. The increase in PDK4 expression and PDC phosphorylation by GH was reduced in STAT5-null mice. Metformin decreased GH-mediated induction of PDK4 expression and metabolites in wild-type but not in SHP-null mice. In primary hepatocytes, dominant-negative mutant-AMPK and SHP knockdown prevented the inhibitory effect of metformin on GH-stimulated PDK4 expression. SHP directly inhibited STAT5 association on the <I>PDK4</I> gene promoter. Metformin inhibits GH-induced PDK4 expression and metabolites via an AMPK-SHP–dependent pathway. The metformin-AMPK-SHP network may provide a novel therapeutic approach for the treatment of hepatic metabolic disorders induced by the GH-mediated pathway.</P>

J wave syndrome is a deflection with the dome or the hump morphology in the same direction as R wave and immediately followed the QRS complex on the surface ECG. It is known as an abnormalities in the manifestation of the transient outward current (Ito)-mediated J wave. It includes Brugada syndrome, early repolarization syndrome, arrhythmia associated hypothermia and the ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. Several lines of evidence have suggested that J wave syndrome closely associated with idiopathic Ventricular tachycardia (VT) and Ventricular fibrillation (VF). We report one case of J wave syndrome in a 50 years old male who was a survivor of sudden cardiac death. He had suffered 2 times sudden cardiac death previously. At the visiting day, his electrocardiography (ECG) exhibited J waves in precordial leads (V1-V6), II, II, aVF and J-ST elevation at the same leads. Considering, recurrent sudden cardiac arrest, J wave on inferior, lateral lead on ECG, we conclude he has a J wave syndrome.
