        모 제약회사 근로자들의 직업성 천식 유병률과 약제 분말 노출수준

        목적: 제약회사에서 직업상 천식의 유병 규모를 파악하고 작업공정에 대한 작업환경 측정을 통해 제약회사의 약제 분말에 대한 노출수준을 평가하고자 하였다. 방법: 제약회사에서 약제 분말에 노출되는 근로자를 대상으로 천식을 선별하기 위하여 설문조사 및 진찰, 혈액검사, 폐기능 검사 그리고 피부단자시험을 실시하였고, 각 부서별 공정에 따라서 총분진과 항생제 또는 효소제 분말에 대한 작업환경 측정을 실시하였다. 직업상 천식이 의심되는 근로자에 대하여 기관지과민성에 대한 검사(메타콜린을 이용한 비특이 기관지유발시험)와 약제 분말 기관지유발시험을 실시하여 확진하였다. 결과: 설문조사 및 진찰에서 작업 관련 천식 증상이 있는 근로자는 11명(34.4%)이었고, 약제 분말을 이용한 피부단자시험에서 1+ 이상 반응을 보인 근로자 10명(31.2%)이었다. 비특이 기관지유발시험 결과 8명(25.0%)이 양성(PC20 ≤16 mg/ml)이었다. 약제 분말 기관지유발시험을 통해 직업상 천식으로 확진된 근로자는 5명(15.6%)이었다. 작업환경 측정에서 원료를 충진하거나 투입하는 작업 그리고 정립작업에서 약제 분말에 대한 노출이 많았다. 결론: 제약회사에서 직업상 천식은 주로 제조공정 중 약제 분말에 노출된 근로자에서 발생하여, 증상 및 직업성 천식의 유병률이 높았다. 따라서 원료를 충진 또는 투입하는 작업과 정립작업 등 제조과적에서 약제 분말 노출을 줄이기 위한 세심한 주의가 필요하여, 약제 분말을 취급하는 근로자에 대해서는 천식 증상 조사뿐 아니라 정기적으로 피부단자시험, 비특이 기관지유발시험 등을 실시하여야 할 것이다. Objectives: After the investigation of one worker with occupational asthma, we surveyed the preva- lence of occupational asthma and the exposure level of pharmaceutical dust of 32 workers in a pharmaceutical company. Methods: Thirty-two of the 90 employees participated in the survey which consisted of questionnaire, blood sampling, spirometry and skin prick tests with 8 common allergens as well as 9 antibiotics and 2 enzymes. Various indices of the working environment were also measured. Subjects who had a symptom suggestive of work-related asthma or positive skin prick test were further investigated by PC20 methacholine. Nine subjects who had a PC20 result of 16 mg/ml or less (n=7) or had work-related symptoms and positive skin prick test (n=2) were referred to undergo a specific bronchial provocation test to phar- maceutical dust in an academic allergic disease center. Results: Eleven of 32 workers (34.4%) had a work-related symptom suggestive of occupational asthma. Ten (31.2%) showed positive skin prick test. 8 (25.0%) had a PC20 result of 16 mg/ml or less (indicative of significant bronchial hyperresponsiveness), and 5 (15.6%) had a positive result on the specific bronchial provocation test. Exposure levels of stuffing, input of raw materials and screening process were relatively high. Conclusions: This survey showed that pharmaceutical workers have an increased risk of occupational asthma. Although pharmaceutical factories maintain a relatively good working environment, careful control of respiratory tract exposures, especially during stuffing, input or raw materials and screening process, is important to prevent occupational asthma. Pharmaceutical workers need to undergo regular skin prick and methacholine bronchial provocation tests, as well as asthmatic symptom survey, to ensure the early detection and prevention of occupational asthma.

      • 珠島의 常綠闊葉樹林의 群落構造

        Phytosociological investigation of the forest vegetation was carried out in Chudo island at the period of March 1th 1989 to December 31th 1989 by Braun-Blanquet's method. The list of vascular plants identified in these investigation were 61 families, 114 genera,116 species, 20 varieties and 1 formae summing up to 137 kinds total. Among them, herbaceous plants were 65 kinds, while woody plants 72 kinds. In the evergreen broad-leaved plants there were 28 kinds and rare plants were Actinodaphne lancifolia, Ilex integra, Dendropanax morbifera, Crypsinus hastatus, Aspidistra elatior, Monotropa hypopithys, Chimaphila japonica, Gardneria insularis etc. The forest vegetation was classified into 2 communities, Trachelospermum asiaticum var. majus-Castanopsis cuspidata var. sieboldii community, Trachelospermum asiaticum var. majus-Actinodaphne lancifolia community. Based on the classification of communities the distribution map of the forest vegetation in Chudo was drawn in 1:25,000 scale.

      • Buffer/CoFe/Cu/Co 샌드위치 박막의 자기저항 특성

        DC magnetron sputtering방법으로 Corning glass 기판위에 버퍼층을 Fe와 ??로 바꾸어가면서 보자력이 다른 ??와 Co를 이용하여 buffer/CoFe(35Å)/Cu(tÅ)/Cu(35Å)의 형태로 샌드위치 박막을 제작하고 자기저항비의 버퍼층 두께 및 비자성층 Cu층 두께, 자성층 두께 의존성을 조사하였다. 자기저항비와 포화 자기장(??)은 버퍼층의 두께가 두꺼워짐에 따라 증대하다가 극대치 3%를 보인 후 완만하게 감소하였다. NiFe, Fe버퍼층을 갖는 시료를 비교한 경우, 각각 CoFe층과 Co층 사이의 결합 자기장(??)은 큰 차이가 없었으나 NiFe버퍼층을 갖는 시료가 minor자기저항 곡선의 반가폭 ??는 감소하고 자기저항(MR) slope와 관련된 field senditivity(%/Oe)는 향상되었다. Buffer(tÅ)/CoFe(35Å)/Cu(50Å)/Co(35Å) sandwiches prepared by dc magnetron sputtering on a corning glass substrate using ?? and Co possess different coercivities. Dependence of magnetoresistance on the type and thickness of buffer layer, thickness of Cu and thickness of magnetic layer in buffer/CoFe/Cu/Co sandwiches were investigated. Magnetoresistance ratio and saturation field ?? increased as the thickness of buffer layer becomes thicker, then decreased smoothly after maximum value. Improved field sensitivity was realized by the use of ?? buffer layer.

      • 입원중인 환자들의 권리인식과 만족도

        The author studied the recognition of patient's right and the degree of one's satisfaction to help set the index of doctor-patient relationship. The data was collected from 423 patients who were admitted to the hospital in Taejeon for fifteen days from Aug. 10, 1991 to Aug. 25, 1991. The results were as the follows: 1. The recognition of the patient's right and the degree of satisfaction were 4.46±0.734, 3.20±0.884 of total 5.0 score in each mean level. 2. "I believe a patient has a right to be treated equal.", "I believe a patient has a right to be compensated in medical accident." and "A patient should be told his diagnosis, treatment, prognosis about the disease by the doctor." were high mean level among each question. Their mean levels were 4.73, 4.69, 4.66 in sequence. 3. The recognition of patient's right by the age was the highest in teenager. It was lowest in above fifty years old. It was lower as age increase. There were statistically significant difference(P<0.05). The recognition of patient's right by the level of education was highest in college level and lowest in primary school level, but the degree of satisfaction was highest in primary school level and lowest in high school. The higher the education level was, the higher the recognition of patient's right was, but the lower it was, the higher the degree of satisfaction was. There was statistically significant difference(P<0.01). The recognition of patient's right be family income was highest in high income level but the degree of satisfaction was lowest. There was statistically significant difference in the recognition of patient's right(P<0.01). 4. Correlation between the recognition of patient's right and the degree of its satisfaction: "To be advised if the hospital proposes to engage in human experimentation affecting his care to patient one has the right to refuse to participate in such research projects was positive correlation with the degree of its satisfaction(r=0.1153). There was statistically significant difference(P<0.01). There were no correlation in other questions. 5. Correlation among each questions for the recognition of patient's right was highest between "…to expect that all communications and records pertaining to his care should be treated as confidential" and "…the right to know what hospital rules and regulations apply to his conduct as a patient"(r=.6314). 6. Correlation among each questions for the degree of satisfaction was highest between "…to considerate and respectful care" and "…to expect that within its capacity a hospital must make reasonable response to the request of a patient for services"(r=.6314).

      • 버퍼층 및 열처리 효과가 CoFe/Cu 다층박막의 자기저항에 미치는 영향

        DC magnetron sputtering방법에 의해 Corning glass기판 위에 ?? 형태로 다층박막을 제작하여 버퍼층 종류(Fe, Cu, Cr, Ta)와 두께, 비자성층인 Cu두께 변화에 관한 자기저항비의존성을 조사하였다. 또한 이들 시료에 대하여 열처리를 행한 후 열처리가 이 시료의 구조, 자기적 성질 및 자기저항에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. Fe버퍼층의 두께가 60Å일 때 극대 자기저항비가 14%인 자기저항이 관찰되었고 Fe버퍼층과 Cr버퍼층을 갖는 시료를 비교한 경우 자기저항비는 그다지 차이가 없으나 Fe버퍼층이 있는 경우에 더 큰 포화자기장 및 자기 이력현상을 나타내었다. 250℃까지의 시료에 대한 열처리는 다층박막의 주기성을 유지한채 더 큰 결정립을 갖게 하여 자기저항비는 증가하였으나 그 이상의 온도에서는 계면 혼합 및 계면 확산에 의한 감소를 나타내었다. Giant magnetoresistance (GMR) and magnetic properties of CoFe/Cu multilayers prepared by dcmagnetron sputtering has been studied. We investigated the effect of Fe buffer layer thickness, different buffer layers, and annealing condition on GMR. For the 60Å Fe buffer layer thickness, maximum MR ratio 14% was found. When we have used different buffer layers, multilayers with Cr and Fe buffer show similar GMR magnitude, but multilayers with an Fe buffer have much higher saturation fields and hysteresis. The study of the dependence of the MR behaviors on annealing temperature, the MR ratio was increased to 250℃, but reduced at the temperature higher than 300℃ because of the interfacial diffuse.

      • 高下島의 植物相과 植生에 關한 硏究

        Phytosociological investigation of the vegetation was carried out in Kohado island at the period of October 1996 by Braun-Blanquet's method. Vascular plants identified in these investigations were 95 families, 257 genera, 291 species, 52 varieties and 3 forma summing up to 346 species total. The forest vegetation was classified into 5 communities, Pinus thunbergii, Pennisetum alopecuroides, Erigeron canadensis, Phragmites communis, Suaeda japonica community. Based on the classification of communities the actual vegetation map was drawn in 1 : 50,000 scale.

        영상광고 텍스트 읽기를 위한 교수·학습 방법론

        The aim of this study is to read TV-Ads, to propose its reading methodology, and to promote the educational creativity. In this study, TV-ads are regarded as creative texts in the process of creation, construction, producement, camera-work, and editing. In this respect, TV-ads are avaliable for the class of media literacy. Results of this study made the following teaching-learning model. First, teachers select and pick up the effective TV-ads for the lesson, design the teaching-learning plan, give to students the PPT-text thru mechanical media(personal computer, beam-projector, etc.) Second, students understand and interpret the mechanism of producing TV-ads, write the creative text, and its meaning can be communicated with others.

      • 생쥐 위장관의 Interstitial cells of Cajal(ICC)에 대한 면역조직화학적 연구

        Background and Objectives : Interstitial cells of Cajal(ICC) are the pacemakers in gastrointestinal tract that modulates gastrointestinal motiliey and these cells also transmit neural input from enteric nerves to smooth muscles. Recent work on tissues from patients with motility disorders that suggest that loss or defect in ICC could be related to pathophysiology in human and animal models. Immunolabelling of ICC in intestinal wall is recently developed by using specific marker, anti-c-kit antibody. Immunohistochemistry was done for ICC network in attempt to provide a morphological basis for the mechanism regulating gastrointestinal motility Methods : Cryosection was done, and whole-mount preparations of mouse stomach, gastrointestinal tract were immunolabelled using the anti-c-Kit. Immunolabelled ICC networks were observed under a confocal laser scanning microscopy. Results : According to three dimensional reconstruction study, we found that the c-Kit-positive celluar networks were widely distributed in the gastrointestinal muscle (1) circular muscle layer(IC-IM), (2) myenteric plexus(IC-MY), (3) deep muscular plexus(IC-DMP) in ileum, (4) submucosal plexus(IC-SMP) and longitudinal muscle layer(IC-LM) in colon. Conclusion : The characteristic profiles of ICC celluar networks provide a morphological basis upon the mechanism regulating gastrointestinal motility. Additional studies for the enteric nerves-ICC interaction are need to evaluate the detailed roles of Icc in gastrointestinal tract.

        백서의 심실세동성 심정지 모델에서 해마신경세포 손상에 대한 단백질 합성저해제의 효과

        Background: The goal of successful resuscitation is not only to stop the process of ischemia as soon as possible but also to overcome the secondary injury process after resuscitation, which involves a complex interplay of mechanisms. Brain damage accompanying cardiac arrest and resuscitation is frequent and devastating. Cells die by one of two mechanisms: necrosis or delayed neuronal death. Delayed neuronal death may require protein synthesis. Neurons in the CA1 subfield of the hippocampus are selectively vulnerable to death after injury by ischemia and reperfusion. Death of these neurons occurs after an interval of 1 or 2 days. We assessed the effects of a protein synthesis inhibitor, cycloheximide(CHX), on hippocampal neuronal death of rats by using the ventricular fibrillation cardiac arrest(VFCA) model. Methods: The effect of CHX(3 mg/kg, s.c.) on hippocampal neuronal death was studied in two groups of 18 rats each, one group being subjected to a 2-min VFCA and the other to a 3-min VFCA. Each group was divided into three subgroups: control(groupⅠ,Ⅱ) without subcutaneous injection of CHX, "esp-12" of group Ⅰ/Ⅱ treated with CHX 12 hours after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC), and "exe-24" of group Ⅰ/Ⅱ treated with CHX 24 hours after ROSC. The coronal sections of the hippocampus levels were stained with hematoxylin-eosin after 72 hours of survival. The histologic damage score(HDS) was used to assign a score to the total number of damaged neurons counted in each of the hippocampal CA1 subfields. Results: 1. There were not significant differences in heart rates, blood pressures, blood sugar, and blood gas in group I & Ⅱ during the pre-arrest steady state or at 5 min and 30 min after ROSC. 2. In group I & Ⅱ, the HDS, were significantly reduced in rats(I exp-12, 1.1 ±0.6;Ⅰexp-24, 1.3 ±0.5;Ⅱ exp-12, 1.4±0.7; and Ⅱ exp-24, 1.8±0.8) treated with CHX 12 hours or 24 hours after ROSC than control rats(1,2.5 ±0.9;Ⅱ,2.9±0.8)(p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that delayed hippocampal neuronal death from ischemic insult after ventricular fibrillation cardiac arrest followed by resuscitation can be prevented by a protein synthesis inhibitor, CHX. Further experimental studies of the action mechanism of protein synthesis inhibitors to delayed neuronal death and clinical applications are required.

      • 초소형 구조물의 부착 방지를 위한 새로운 자기 집합 물질에 대한 연구

        In order to achieve stiction-free polysilicon surfaces, we have suggested a new chemical grafting precursor and confirmed their excellent characteristics. When dichlorodimethylsilane(DDS, C_(2)H_(6)SiCl_(2)), a dialkyldichlorosilane widely used in silicon machining, have been used as a precursor, experimental results were clearly comparable to those of monoalkyltrichlorosilanes octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS, C_(18)H_(37)SiCl_(3)) or 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecyltrichloro-silane (FDTS, C_(10)H_(4)F_(17)SiCl_(3)) in terms of stiction reduction. The polysilicon cantilevers were fabricated in the carefully controlled conditions and laser interferometer indicated that their residual stress gradient was 2 MPa/μm upward from the substrate. The SEM images of polysilicon cantilever beams with DDS coating are upward and no stiction is observed up to 2 mm in length.
